The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 524: Xiabo is a resourceful baby.

In the lovely gardens of the chateau, Alix found some chairs and tables, and she sat down. She also got a cup of noodles, hot water and sliced for herself a large serving of the spice cake. She opened a bottle of mixed berry juice and took a small sip.

Then, she retrieved her laptop from the bag and dialed her father’s number first, initiating a video call. The call was answered quickly, not by chairman Tai but by grandpa Tai who pushed his face extremely close to the camera that all Alix could see was his chin.

"Grandpa, step back from the camera."

Grandpa Tai was pulled back by his son and then Alix finally saw them clearly.

"Father, grandfather, is everything alright? Have you seen anyone suspicious around today? Which German business man did you have a meeting with and what did they tell you? Did you sign any contracts or drink and eat anything you were offered? If you were given any food, throw it away.

If you ate it, take that antidote i gave you which is supposed to help with all poisons...oh, and milk, drink some milk and swallow some charcoal."

"Alix, stop and breathe." Chairman Tai replied."Look at me and follow my actions."

He took inhaled and exhaled while urging her to do the same. She followed, albeit reluctantly as she was more curious to find out what had happened.

"I am calm now dad, tell me what happened."

Grandpa Tai’s mouth moved faster than that of his son. "Your father met with two German business men but he was suspicious of them the moment they arrived and he called the police. It was not the police that showed up to take them away but bureau officers, and we know that it was them because that Aang was with them. We have been so worried about you and we have been trying to reach you for hours. I am so glad that you okay my dear, but this was a very worrisome incident. Maybe you should cancel the rest of the tour and.....

"Is that Alix?" Grandma Tai came up from behind and she pushed her face close to the laptop camera just like her husband had done.

It was auntie Mo that pulled her back.

"Pretty baby, what happened in Germany? We have been keeping an eye on any news related to the Heinrich family ever since you told us about them. International news is reporting that there was a fire at the castle. Was it your doing?"

She admitted that it was her doing and told them parts of the story. By the time she was finished, grandpa Tai had already broken a perfectly good porcelain with his walking cane.

"Father, did you eat anything they gave as a greeting gift?"

Auntie Mo rushed away and returned with a box of cookies. "He has eaten some of the strawberry sandwich cookies they brought."

Grandpa Tai slapped his son on the back of his head.

"Are you an idiot? Why would you eat food given by a stranger? Did your mother and I not teach you about stranger danger as a child? Don’t you know that you should not accept candy from strangers?"

Grandma Tai added a slap of her own, hitting his back lightly.

"Hurry up and puke it out." she commanded.

They all watched him, like they were expecting him to vomit on command. Chairman Tai looked away from his parents and he pursed his lips, feeling embarrassed. Did they have to hit him in full view of his daughter?

Auntie Mo meanwhile rushed away to throw the cookies into the dust bin. Even the dustbin did not feel safe enough so she asked a maid to take them out of the house, dig a hole and bury them.

"We should go to a hospital, you need a full body check up." Grandpa Tai was feeling uncomfortable and worried that his son could be in danger.

Alix bid them goodbye and asked them to call her after seeing a doctor. She had more calls to make and Caishen was next in line.

As it turned out, he had long been waiting for her call and he answered with a voice filled with worry, as much worry as she was feeling.

"Caishen, is everyone fine? What happened to the bad guys, are they dead or captured?"

He looked at her, wishing that he could pass through his phone screen and go to her.

"Are you okay?" he asked calmly.

"O for okay." she answered with a smile. The moment felt a little too serious for her to add her usual brags about being the strongest woman in the world. "The boys, where are they?"

"All home, safe and sound. Did you cause the Heinrich’s pain?" he inquired.

She smiled slyly and nodded. "So much and for the rest of their lives hubby, they will forever curse the day they brought me into their castle. What about you, did you cause any pain?"

"I broke a man’s arms with my fists, i am kind of proud of myself. I had no idea that i had that much strength already."

She clapped for him and finally felt relaxed enough to start eating. If everyone and everything was fine, it was a relief. Next time, she would triple the protection she had put in place.

As she swallowed noddles down to fill her empty stomach, she repeated the story she had told the Tai’s and with him, she gave up all the details. "I was so worried hubby, especially about the boys. They are so young and helpless."

"We are all fine, the boys did not even notice any danger apart from Xiaobo who kind of blew up one of the bad guys. You did not tell me that you had given him a grenade. I questioned them and it turns out you gave all the children grenades from those other worlds, Alix, jeez...." he opened his mouth and closed it because he was mostly speechless thanks to the shock she had given him.

The two men that had infiltrated Xiaobo’s school had cornered him in the bathroom and tried to take him away, claiming that his father had been involved in an accident.

Xiaobo was not stupid luckily and he came up with a plan. He opened his bag and asked the men to carry for him his toys that happened to be two tennis sized balls that were making chipping sounds, like birds.

He walked ahead of the men and when he was out, he claimed to have forgotten his watch inside on the bathroom sink.

When one of the men returned to look for it, Xiaobo pushed the one that remained and closed the bathroom door, locking them inside.

The next sound to be heard was a loud boom and Xiaobo run to the school principal to report a kidnapping. He found his uncle Caishen had already arrived. Later, when they were driving away from the school, Xiaobo excitedly narrated the tale of his bravery. He did not express any fear, he just hoped his aunt Alix gave him more grenades.

Caishen told all this to Alix and she laughed. Xiaobo was one resourceful baby.

"I caught him offering Wu Gang money for his grenades Alix. You are ruining Xiaobo surely."

She chuckled and felt a little sad that she had missed that scene. "I am proud of him, he knows how to protect himself and he is doing exactly as i have been teaching him. Those grenades don’t kill anyway, they just stun the opponent."
