The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God-Chapter 790: Symbiotic Alien
Ten thousand years later.
In the lab, Maximus couldn't help but frown as they hit another bottleneck.
"These synthesized materials didn't work either…"
Testing the millionth material they had created over the past ten thousand years had ended in yet another failure.
Although Maximus planned to take another path for the micro surveillance bot, the data still wasn't ready.
Even with the observation tower boosted by Plane Origin, the data it gathered on the collision of chaotic energy was still lacking.
He didn't know when they could have enough data to create a more affordable micro-surveillance bot.
To be sure, they could only keep working on synthesizing something that could resist both chaotic and dark energy.
It would be expensive, but exploring the outer environment of the Aeon Plane should be enough.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard they worked, unless they used a dense amount of ultimate materials, the micro surveillance bot would simply collapse under the chaos energy.
"This won't work. We need to look from another direction," Maximus sighed.
"What direction? Should we improve the array? Build a bigger bot? Or maybe systemize bots!"
"No. Since mechanics and alchemy aren't enough, why don't we add biology?"
This time, thanks to his stronger control of his plane-level ability, True Path, Maximus could deduce deeper truths without suffering the consequences.
As long as he didn't pry too deep, it would still give him a general direction to follow.
According to True Path's guidance, he could add biological properties to the micro surveillance bot.
"Biology? You mean… reconstruct the entire structure of the bot, Father?" Nero asked in shocked.
Turning a mechanical and alchemical creation into something biological had always been taboo.
From the books he'd read, to his physique and the heavenly system's analysis—this path was full of flaws.
"Why not? As long as it works," Maximus said with a smile, noticing the disgust on Nero's face.
Of course, he understood the incompatibilities between the properties.
But trusting the path chosen by his plane-level ability, Maximus could only grit his teeth and press forward.
"Do you already have an idea, Father?" Seeing their father's confidence, they couldn't help but be curious.
"Don't we already have a ready-made specimen?"
"Hm?"
"Is it what I think it is?"
"The biological properties of Overlord Lazo?"
"That's right. You caught on quickly! Since we have a template from an Overlord, there's no need to hesitate."
True Path had guided him here. And the only key Maximus believed could open this path was Lazo's biological properties.
With a pseudo-plane physique and biological traits that made him the strongest Overlord, they should be able to find a clue for what to do next.
Sending his sons off to prepare for their next project, Maximus made his way to the experimental facility where Hazel and the others had gone.
In these ten thousand years, even though they lived only a short distance apart, they rarely saw each other.
Either one of them was too busy with an experiment, or the other was.
---
Entering the facility, he found that only Lily was in the room.
"Lily? Where are the others?"
"Huh? Father? Why are you here?"
"I'm here to see what interesting things you discovered from Lazo's body parts. Anyway, where have your mother and sister gone?"
"They left a few years ago to take a vacation. Didn't Father say we must take a vacation every ten thousand years, for at least a thousand years each time?"
"This—"
Hearing his daughter's reminder, Maximus felt a little embarrassed.
It seemed he'd need to send his sons away for some rest; they must also have forgotten the rule he set long ago.
"What about you? Why are you still here?"
"I'm just finishing my work. I should be able to leave after a few decades," Lily replied, busy compiling data as she sorted vials of flesh and blood of Lazo.
"Oh, then don't forget to take a break once you've cleaned up."
Not wanting to disturb Lily further, Maximus walked around the room, inspecting the work they'd done during this time.
"Eve, do you have the data recorded?"
"Invalid. According to the Treaty of the Overlords, they warned my master not to record any of their information," Eve explained.
Fearing that Frir would dissect them on his table someday, the Overlords had set up a treaty preventing experimentation on their bodies.
Unless they explicitly agreed, even their basic information couldn't be recorded by the Space-Time Lab.
"I see…" Maximus nodded in understanding.
Even data about the Absolutes was rare, much less the Overlords.
There must have been a tacit agreement between powerhouses. If Frir continued to pry into their secrets, he might incur the wrath of everyone.
"Lily, where's the recorded data from your research?" Since Eve didn't have what he needed, he could only ask his daughter.
"It's here, father. What do you need it for?" Lily asked, handing him a crystal containing the data.
"It's for the micro surveillance bot. We've hit a bottleneck. I'm hoping your research might give me some inspiration."
"Oh~" Not particularly interested, Lily left her father and returned to work.
She was too fascinated by the properties of Lazo's physique to bother with her father's plight.
Seeing this, Maximus could only shake his head.
Reviewing the data his family had collected over the past ten thousand years, his expression shifted from neutral to amazement, and finally to shock.
"This… a body can still function like this? Is Lazo even a creature?"
Going over the dense data, Maximus began to doubt whether Lazo was even a creature from the Aeon Plane.
According to the records, each piece of Lazo's flesh, blood, and soul continued to grow infinitely.
Even after being severed from Lazo, as long as it was fed energy, it worked like an engine that never stopped.
What was even more astounding was, because the parts were disconnected from Lazo's control, they had no mastery of laws, only raw power.
As a result, they instinctively adapted and studied the surrounding energy, incorporating it into themselves.
It was like a symbiotic alien, something that could adapt to anything and grow stronger with enough energy.
"No… this isn't just the result of a pseudo-plane-level physique!"
