The Wolfless Luna's Revenge: Returning With His Secret Twins-Chapter 260
[DIANA’s Point of View]
I couldn’t describe the fear that I felt at that moment.
As I looked at my brother, who had his arms around me and was bravely scanning for any threats that could harm us, all I could think about was crying silently and accepting that it might be the end for all of us. We were surrounded by enemies.
There was no way to escape. Mom and Dad, along with Uncle Killian, faced danger as they tried to save the poor kid from the evil old man, while my brother and I did our best to hide ourselves and avoid drawing the attention of the beasts that were attacking Mom and Dad.
“I’m scared, Devon!” I whispered to my twin brother, who tightened his arms around me as the Shadow Werewolves began attacking Mom and Dad. We did our best to remain hidden so the enemies wouldn’t detect us behind the giant old tree, which was a few feet away from where their camp was.
“Everything will be okay, Diana. Dad and Mom will defeat the bad guys,” Devon whispered back to me, but I sensed that immense fear in him, not just in his voice but through our bond as twins.
I saw how the beasts continued to try to get to Mom and Dad, and Uncle Killian did everything to protect them. We had to do something. We had to help!
“Diana! You are giving off energy! You can’t do that! They will find us here!”
I was so focused on my emotions that I barely understood what Devon was telling me until it was too late. From behind us was a Black Claw with an evil grin. He looked down at me and Devon, his eyes glinting purple from under the moonlight like he had found a treasure in a very unexpected place.
“What are you two little bunnies doing here?” The Black Claw hissed as his grin turned into a dreadful smile that made me and my brother tremble in fear.
My mind was filled with fear, and I couldn’t think of anything but to scream for Dad to save us. I screamed at the top of my lungs, and the next thing I saw was when the Black Claw flew and hit a tree with its back. At first, I thought the impact killed the Black Claw, but when Dad turned his back on him, he stood so fast and slashed Dad’s back with his giant claws.
Dad did everything to protect me and Devon. And as I watched the old man turn into a giant black wolf, all I wanted was for all of us to flee the place, hoping we still had that kind of chance.
Until something shocking happened.
As Mom grabbed me, my brother, and the child she had saved from the old man, keeping us all close to her together, I noticed something strange. No, I felt something strange as well.
I lifted my face to look at the child’s face and saw him staring back at me as if he knew me so well. His eyes didn’t blink when our eyes met. Suddenly, those green eyes transformed into swirling purple, causing my heart to race so fast that I could barely breathe while I continued to stare at him.
“Purple?” I uttered in my small voice.
The little boy’s skin suddenly illuminated, and Mom’s embrace loosened as she stared at him with confusion and surprise. Devon’s and I’s eyes didn’t leave him until he transformed into a small white wolf pup.
And I was so right. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
He was Purple!!!
“Mom! He’s Purple!” Devon exclaimed, his eyes lit with wonder and surprise. But then it changed into confusion, which made his expression a little funny. “What? Wait, I thought Purple was a girl!?”
“That makes sense,” Mom whispered as she grabbed me and my brother again and smiled despite the danger around us. “Now I understand the despair I feel. We are meant to save Purple. He is part of the family. That’s why.”
“So does this mean Purple is a werewolf and not an ordinary animal?” Devon asked Mom, still looking confused. “All this time I thought he was just a pet!”
“He is really good at hiding it,” I murmured, still unable to believe that Purple was a little boy werewolf.
Purple jumped out of us, though, and snarled at the giant black werewolf, who walked slowly towards us. His heavy feet sounded like thunder as he stomped them, and my heartbeat grew loud in my ears, and my ribs hurt as it pumped hard in my chest.
“Purple! Come back here!” I begged for him to stay with us, but he kept on barking at the giant black werewolf as his fur stood on end.
Daddy was the one to attack before the Black werewolf could land a blow on us. Mom bared her teeth, her gaze fixed on Dad as he engaged in a fierce battle with the beast.
Uncle Killian did his best to protect us from the Shadow Werewolves that jumped on us, though. We all saw that the black werewolf had a huge advantage because it was about twice the size of Dad, and Mom couldn’t help him because she was too scared to leave us again.
But when Mom saw Dad had been slashed on his back again, it was Mom’s instinct that won, and she jumped immediately to help Dad as she shifted into her wolf form, midair.
Devon reached for my hand as he yelled at me. “Come on, Diana! Let’s blow our whistles together to awaken Dad’s powers!”
I hesitate, though, and we both took our whistles and blew them. It didn’t let out any sound, but Devon and I felt like our power was being absorbed by the whistle and transferred to Dad, healing his wounds so fast that he recovered quickly from it. Dark mists dispelled from Dad’s wounds, and the black veins around them disappeared.
The black giant werewolf roared in anger when he saw that Dad’s wounds regenerated once again, and he glared in our direction, making me and my brother tremble in fear.
[D*mn twin keys!] his voice was thick and deep, like it came from the underground when he spoke.
“Devon? What is happening?” I asked my twin brother with quivering lips when the ground started to shake underneat my feet.
