The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 84: My Period Came
If the leader sees her like this, I wonder if he’ll still have the heart to kill her.
Probably not.
After all, Quinn Morgan and the leader have been partners for over twenty years and have two children. No matter how big the mistake, there’s still some affection there.
Corbin Crowley couldn’t care less about Finn Arcanus’ thoughts, even if he knew them.
His gaze landed not far away on Luna Sutton, who was directing the Beastmen in salt harvesting, and a slight smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he felt cheerful.
This fat woman has really changed a lot.
Luna Sutton noticed Corbin Crowley’s gaze and turned her head to look.
Their eyes met for a moment, and both were taken aback.
She was the first to recover, thinking of the side quest she hadn’t finished. Her heart stirred, and she walked over with a smile, "Why are you staring at me like that? Do you think I’m getting prettier, captivated by my beauty and wisdom?"
Corbin Crowley watched her self-absorbed expression, his mouth twitched violently.
With a handsome face, he said sternly, "Luna Sutton, can you have some shame? With your looks, beauty and wisdom? I think ugly and stupid is more like it."
Just can’t understand this fat woman’s reasoning. To be able to say such things, really not a hint of embarrassment.
She wasn’t angry; instead, she smiled brightly and leaned a little closer to him, looking at his incomparably handsome face and chuckled, "Corbin Crowley, this is classic sour grapes mentality. I know, deep down, you actually like me, right? Don’t be shy, just say you like me. Although your personality is annoying and your mouth is sharp, we are partners after all. We can just give it a try, right?"
Corbin Crowley: "..."
This fat woman is becoming more shameless and disgusting.
To the point of being revolting.
Saying sour grapes because you can’t reach them?
Claiming he likes her?
This damn fat woman sure knows how to flatter herself.
Doesn’t she have any self-awareness of her own character?
He stared at her with his dark face, silver eyes deeply disdainful,
For a moment, he wanted to throw this damn fat woman far away.
Best to throw her to a place where he can’t see her.
Luna Sutton saw the extremely despised look in the dog man’s eyes and didn’t feel angry; instead, her heart was delighted.
Of course she knew her current "beauty" and "wisdom" weren’t enough to make a handsome guy like Corbin Crowley fall head over heels.
But she just liked teasing him. Seeing him disgusted yet helpless made her feel very satisfied.
Like drinking a bottle of ice-cold beer on a hot summer day.
"Oh gosh, Corbin Crowley, don’t look at me like that. I’ll get shy."
She blinked her pretty peach blossom eyes, long eyelashes fluttering, sparkling, the corners of her eyes slightly upturned, inexplicably alluring.
Though still a bit chubby, and the nose doesn’t look great, these eyes modified by the system are very beautiful.
Corbin Crowley was slightly dazed, and when he snapped back to reality, his face was stern, nearly defeated by this fat woman’s thick skin.
Forced to suppress the urge to throw her far away, he turned and went elsewhere.
If he continued to stay with this fat woman, he feared he couldn’t resist getting physical.
She’s just too repulsive.
"Hahaha..."
Luna Sutton watched his departing figure and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Finn Arcanus and the others, having naturally noticed the scene, looked shocked.
They couldn’t fathom where Luna Sutton got the confidence to tease Corbin Crowley and do it so... disgustingly.
However, they had to admit she had indeed changed a lot, becoming not just clever, capable, and pretty, but her personality was more cheerful and interesting.
Indeed, much more likable than before.
Luna Sutton didn’t care about them; it was enough for her to be happy.
Then she exuberantly continued her salt harvesting work.
She found this busy and fulfilling feeling was really nice.
Moreover, watching those Beastmen who used to fight obey her commands in salt harvesting, obeying her every word, filled her with indescribable achievement.
As night fell, a day’s labor ended.
Everyone sat around the fire, roasting wild boar meat, the aroma wafting in the air.
Luna Sutton sat beside Corbin Crowley, discovering that this man, originally seen as cold and ruthless, actually had a gentle side.
For instance, when she was separating and collecting salt, he would actively come to help.
Though his words were extremely annoying.
He’d complain about her clumsiness, then do it himself.
When she was sweating profusely from the heat, he’d willingly bring her water, then with the worst attitude and tone, tell her to roll under the tree to rest.
Thinking about it made her laugh out loud.
This dog man is really a contradiction, obviously caring yet always acting awkwardly.
"Why are you laughing?"
Corbin Crowley glanced at her, asking indifferently.
She smiled and blinked, "I’m laughing at someone who’s contrary."
Corbin Crowley furrowed his brow, glared at her, pretended not to hear, and continued roasting the wild boar meat.
Luna Sutton chuckled, not teasing him further, and at the thought, she couldn’t help but ask, "By the way, Corbin Crowley, since Finn Arcanus and the others found the bottom of the cliff, it means there’s a way to leave. Why don’t we return to the tribe first and tell Dad about The Salt Lake? Plus, Quinn Morgan has already caught up, Warwick Storm is already dead, it’s the right time to report back and let Dad recall the Beastmen sent out for hunting, then reposition them here for salt harvesting."
Thinking about it, she added, "Of course, Beastmen should stay here as guards."
Corbin Crowley paused his action of biting roasted meat upon hearing this, glanced at her, and said flatly, "What’s the rush? Let’s wait until tomorrow to collect all the salt, then we’ll go back."
Luna Sutton thought it over, it made sense. After all, it’s not just one day, and she quite enjoyed the feeling of busying together with everyone.
She was about to speak when suddenly a sharp pain in her stomach, felt something flowing out.
Her face changed, instantly realizing it was her period.
Though she hadn’t seen it, counting the days, it must be her period without a doubt.
Thankfully the system backpack had rewarded sanitary pads; otherwise, using leaves would be a breakdown.
She hastily threw the roasted meat onto Corbin Crowley, coincidentally landing on his crotch.
Luna Sutton didn’t notice, clutching her stomach and hurriedly running to the nearby woods.
Corbin Crowley looked at the roasted meat that landed on his crotch, his face dark as if water could drip.
This damn fat woman, running off to relieve herself halfway through eating is one thing, but intentionally throwing the roasted meat there...
With a dark face, he reluctantly picked up the roasted meat from his crotch, preparing to throw it far away, contemplating something paused his action.
A wicked curve formed on his lips, holding the roasted meat, he walked over to the edge of the woods, readying to speak
Suddenly sniffing his nose, caught a faint scent of blood.
Yet it’s different from the usual smell of bleeding from wounded animals, making him restless, stirring a vague urge.
He frowned further, recalling the tribal lore about females.
Said that females emit a special scent every once in a while, this odor being fatally attractive to males, luring them to mate.
When this scent is emitted, it indicates the female is in estrus.
He looked at the pitch-dark woods in front, his expression odd.
Could it be the fat woman is indeed in heat?
Corbin Crowley pondered the possibility, his face darkened, looking at the half-eaten roasted meat with bite marks, having fallen on his crotch.
The initial thought of teasing Luna Sutton faded.
His gaze lingered heavily towards the woods for a while.
Finally returning to sit by the fire.
As for the roast meat, it was placed by the fire to be left for the fat woman to eat upon return...
