The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 422 - 320: Reunion (Part 2)
Although he had recently broken through, it was due to the Karma Fire Red Lotus, which didn’t conflict with devouring the Beast Pill.
Instantly transformed into his beast form, reverting to his true self with three heads and six eyes, his fur crimson red, and the Karma Fire Red Lotus blooming around him.
Soren Phoenix clicked his tongue in amazement, unwilling to be left behind, and tilted his head back to swallow the Fire Element Beast Pill in his hand.
Then he transformed into his true form, the Fire Phoenix, diving headlong into the river of magma, his fiery red feathers unfurling, feeling more at ease than he did on land.
The scorching magma was a great nourishment for him, and combined with the Fire Element Beast Pill, even if he couldn’t achieve Nirvana, it would rapidly enhance his abilities.
"Comfortable~"
He squinted his eyes, surrounded by the Phoenix True Fire and the searing magma, "This is what I call cultivation."
Kian Sterling quietly watched this scene, his ten bare tails drooping listlessly.
The Demon Gu within him had almost been purified, and his mind was becoming clearer, but his heart was filled with bitterness.
He didn’t know how to face everything that would come next.
Zeke Veridian and Rhys Blackwood arrived to witness this scene.
Corbin Crowley was breaking through within the ice crystal.
Malachi Arcanus, with three heads and six eyes, looked intimidating and imposing despite his ugly Abyssal Demon Wolf form, exuding an aura of Primordial Antiquity.
Zeke didn’t initially recognize that it was Malachi until he sensed a familiar aura and realized the other’s identity.
"This brute got lucky, evolving into an Abyssal Demon Wolf, a blessing in disguise."
He watched Malachi fully focused on breaking through, his emerald eyes flickering, genuinely happy for him.
Seeing Malachi alive let him finally relax.
Rhys Blackwood’s gaze instantly fell to the center of the magma river, where Soren Phoenix had submerged in his true form, shrouded in Phoenix True Fire.
He couldn’t see his face or body, unsure if he was in Nirvana, or breaking through.
All he saw was flames and boiling magma with one glance.
And Kian Sterling... resembling a scalded, bald fox, floating pitifully in the magma river.
"What are you all..."
Rhys Blackwood’s eyes flickered, his clear voice tinged with confusion.
Corbin Crowley, Soren Phoenix, and Malachi Arcanus were all breaking through and couldn’t respond, and Kian Sterling was too embarrassed to speak.
Mael Valerius stood with arms crossed on the riverbank, his golden eyes sweeping over Zeke and Rhys, speaking succinctly, "Corbin and the others are breaking through, Kian has a Demon Gu, which is being purified."
"Demon Gu? What Demon Gu?"
Zeke keenly caught the critical information, puzzled.
Where did the old fox get a Demon Gu, and when did he have it?
He wasn’t aware of what Kian had done, only curious about the Demon Gu’s origin.
Rhys Blackwood immediately looked at Kian Sterling, his eyes dark and inscrutable, in thought about something.
Mael Valerius sneered, the Phoenix True Fire illuminating his strikingly handsome profile, briefly recounting what Kian had done.
From setting traps late at night with Beast King City’s Hidden Guard in the northern valley and Grolnok, luring a Mammoth, a Tyrannosaur, and a Saber-toothed Tiger to attack Malachi.
Boulders fell from the mountaintop, entangling nets enclosed him, until he fell into The Endless Abyss, sealing the entrance—
He paused, his golden eyes flashing with anger, "Even included me in his scheming."
Rhys Blackwood’s expression instantly turned grim, his Aethel Serpent True Form involuntarily revealed briefly before being forcibly suppressed, his voice as cold as a millennia-old glacier, "Kian?"
Zeke laughed angrily, his emerald eyes fixated on the embarrassing Kian in the magma, "Well, well, old fox, pretending to be all prim and proper, yet playing dirty tricks behind the scenes?"
Although Kian had previously revealed in their presence his desire to monopolize Luna, no one took it to heart, let alone expected him to act.
And in such a cruel manner.
Kian’s ten tails floated powerlessly on the magma’s surface, his once graceful fox tails now resembling ten charred sticks.
He opened his mouth, but ultimately said nothing.
"The Demon Gu amplifies evil thoughts in the heart, but—"
Mael Valerius gave Kian Sterling a meaningful glance, "Some intentions are ultimately one’s own."
The magma churned, heat waves rolling in. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Kian Sterling did not deny Mael Valerius’s words, nor did he attempt to explain, responding only with silence, his heart bitter.
He knew any explanation now would be feeble and futile.
Though the evil thoughts were amplified by the Demon Gu, they ultimately stemmed from his inner obsessions.
He looked down at his blackened paws, hearing Zeke’s mocking voice in his ears:
"Pretending to be a white lotus, yet being worse than an animal behind the scenes. If it weren’t for the Demon Gu maturing, who knows how long you’d keep pretending?"
Rhys Blackwood turned to leave without sparing Kian a glance, not even a glance.
He only nodded slightly to Mael Valerius, "Thank you."
Such simple words made Mael Valerius raise an eyebrow.
This cold-blooded serpent, usually haughty, especially after the Dragon Clan’s Black-armored Guard broke his tail, was rarely seen to say thanks.
It was clear that he had let go of his resentment, at least no longer avoiding Mael Valerius.
Inwardly, Mael Valerius scoffed, feeling an inexplicable sensation, somewhat happy.
However, his words were annoyingly blunt, "I did it for Luna."
The magma suddenly surged violently, with Phoenix True Fire shooting up around Soren Phoenix.
His fiery red wings unfurled over the magma, his luxurious feathers reborn in the flames, radiant and splendid.
"Phoenix Nirvana, twelfth rank?"
Zeke gazed enviously at Soren Phoenix’s true form above the magma, full of admiration.
He thought of himself at only the eleventh rank and wondered if he’d end up at the bottom.
This thought left him disheartened.
Soren Phoenix landed in human form by the riverbank, his fiery Red Feather Robe billowing.
He flamboyantly flicked his long hair, "Well, am I not even more handsome now?"
The response was a chorus of cold snorts.
Corbin Crowley’s surroundings suddenly exploded with ice crystals, the Ancient Silver-moon Direwolf howling, its silver-white fur gleaming as if flowing with light.
The twelfth-rank aura swept out.
He stood up, his aura retracting, a pleased smile curling his lips, in an extremely good mood.
"Everyone has broken through."
Malachi Arcanus’s three heads grinned simultaneously, "Then I can’t fall behind."
The Karma Fire Red Lotus roared and enveloped him, turning him into a fiery figure.
When the firelight faded, he was in human form, wild and unrestrained, yet extremely handsome.
"Damn, why am I only at the eleventh rank?"
Malachi Arcanus looked displeased, having broken through but still a rank below Corbin Crowley and Soren Phoenix.
Soren Phoenix swaggered over with his feather fan, gleefully nudging him, "Be content; it’s impressive you broke through as a three-headed, six-eyed monster."
"Get lost."
Malachi Arcanus slapped him away, suddenly remembering something, turning to glare at Kian in the magma river, "Old fox, have you soaked enough?"
Mael Valerius narrowed his golden eyes, "Soak a while more, the Demon Gu isn’t fully gone."
He didn’t actually check for the Demon Gu, simply wanting the old fox to soak longer.
He had soaked for more than half a day himself, his Dragon Scale was nearly ruined.
Kian Sterling’s ten charred tails drifted in the magma, responding with a bitter smile.
Plots that once seemed justified now seemed unreal in reflection.
Zeke crossed his arms and sneered, "I say, just chop all ten of his tails off.’
"Five are already plucked bare."
Malachi Arcanus grinned, revealing sharp white teeth.
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes swept over everyone, deliberately ignoring Kian Sterling, treating him as air, "It’s time to go back, Luna must be worried."
The mention of "Luna" made Mael Valerius’s golden eyes brighten.
He raised his hand, tearing open space, glimmers of outside starlight seen through the dark rift, "Let’s go."
Everyone stepped into the rift in succession.
No one thought to care about Kian in the magma.
Fearing being left behind, Kian struggled to climb ashore, hastily following in a sorry state.
