The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 417 - 317: Three Heads and Six Eyes (Part 2)
Before he could react or find a way to collect the Karma Fire Red Lotus,
the Three-Headed Hellhound had already lunged forward.
The Three-Headed Hellhound was the Guardian Beast guarding the Karma Fire Red Lotus. Upon seeing Malachi Arcanus fall into the cavern and seemingly attempt to seize the Karma Fire Red Lotus, it became even more furious.
"Awooo—"
Though Malachi Arcanus was barely hanging onto life, his reactions were swift.
With a mindset willing to gamble everything, he leaped towards the Karma Fire Red Lotus with a resolve to face death.
Although he wasn’t particularly wise, he understood that only by gaining the power of the Karma Fire Red Lotus could he have a chance to kill that Three-Headed Hellhound and walk out alive.
He thought that collecting the Karma Fire Red Lotus would be extremely difficult, or that he would be burned to ashes.
Unexpectedly, a surprising occurrence took place upon touching the Karma Fire Red Lotus.
His Netherworld Dark Fire seemed to be called upon and produced a strange resonance with the Karma Fire Red Lotus.
At this moment, time seemed to stand still.
Malachi Arcanus felt a massive surge of power erupting from the Karma Fire Red Lotus, flowing through the Netherworld Dark Fire into his body.
The power was violent and fiery; every bone in his body seemed to be burning as the Karma Fire Red Lotus’s power poured into his meridians like magma.
His skin cracked inch by inch but healed swiftly under the embrace of the Karma Fire Red Lotus, repeating this cycle until the pain nearly knocked him out.
"Awooo—"
A piercing howl echoed through the cavern.
The Three-Headed Hellhound was startled by this sudden change, retreating two steps, its six crimson eyes filled with dread.
Malachi Arcanus had no mind to care about this beast as he felt like he was about to die from the pain.
It was a hundred times worse than when he forcefully devoured the Dragon Whisker Whale Beast Pill in The Endless Sea to break through.
It was more torturous than the ten ancient punishments, making death an impossible escape.
"Damn it, if I have to die, let it be quick so I won’t suffer..."
He roared in fury.
Completely unaware of the astonishing changes occurring in his body.
His black fur had long fallen off and burned away, the new fur appearing dark red, like flowing magma.
His physique expanded drastically, with two bulges growing on his shoulder blades, and with two ripping sounds, two additional ferocious wolf heads emerged.
Three heads, six eyes, crimson as blood.
"This...this is..."
Malachi Arcanus looked down at his rejuvenated body, his three heads all showing wild joy.
He could feel the surging power within him, a terrifying energy several times more formidable than before.
"Abyssal Demon Wolf..."
This legendary name floated into his mind, and Malachi Arcanus’s three heads simultaneously opened their bloody mouths.
The Karma Fire Red Lotus circled around him, intensely hot, as if it could incinerate everything.
Looking down at himself, all six eyes showed disdain.
He really looked ugly, like a monster, and he wondered if Luna would be put off by his true form.
Luckily, his strength had grown.
His Netherworld Dark Fire had already fused with the Karma Fire Red Lotus, and his realm had even broken through to the tenth level.
"Now, it’s time to settle the score."
Malachi Arcanus instantly looked at the frightened Three-Headed Hellhound that dared not approach, revealing three deep, sharp teeth.
The Three-Headed Hellhound whimpered in terror and tried to flee.
With a gentle leap, the Karma Fire Red Lotus transformed into chains, instantly wrapping around the neck of the Three-Headed Hellhound.
"Awooo—"
Amidst the horrific wailing, the Three-Headed Hellhound was burned to ashes by the Karma Fire.
Malachi Arcanus shook his three heads, his six crimson wolf eyes scanning the empty cavern, curling his lips in disdain, "Ugly as hell..."
Thinking of Luna’s possibly repulsed gaze, he agitatedly swished his tail, suppressing that unease.
Strength was the true logic.
He needed to find The Mad Dragon quickly, then go out to settle the score with that sly old fox.
Ten tails?
Hmph, he’d strip them bare, not leaving even a single hair.
...
At the entrance of the Godsbane Mountains, the night breeze blew gently.
Luna Sutton still sat quietly on the rock, waiting, as three palm-sized Fire-Feathered Birds circled around her, their flame dispelling the night’s chill.
Suddenly, from afar came the sound of something cutting through the air, as a sharp silver light tore the night.
Corbin Crowley descended in front of her like a silver meteor, instantly transformed into human form.
He was supposed to hunt in the northern valley today, but due to Mael Valerius’s warnings, he hurriedly left with the Hunting Party to hunt elsewhere.
They didn’t encounter any danger, instead, they had a bountiful harvest.
Returning to the tribe at dusk, he heard about what happened in Grolnok, dropping his prey in fright and flying away.
Upon reaching Grolnok, he found nothing, not even traces of a fight.
Just when he was puzzled, he happened upon Caelan Phoenix, Lian Phoenix, and Jago who were searching for people.
Caelan, Lian, and Jago arrived a step late at Grolnok and didn’t know that Luna Sutton and the others had gone to the Godsbane Mountains, so they continued to search in Grolnok.
Unluckily, they turned almost the entire Grolnok upside down with no findings.
If Corbin Crowley hadn’t appeared, they would’ve likely returned.
Corbin Crowley, seeing that they found nothing, directly activated the companion mark, thus finding his way to the Godsbane Mountains.
Caelan, Lian, and Jago naturally followed.
"Luna!"
Corbin Crowley, upon seeing Luna Sutton sitting on a rock, immediately went to her, "What happened? Why is Grolnok empty? Where’s Malachi?"
Luna Sutton was somewhat surprised to see Corbin Crowley, but she was very pleased.
She also felt it was good timing for him to arrive and succinctly recounted what happened.
Of course, she only mentioned what she dreamed about while taking a nap at noon.
Corbin Crowley listened, his face turning grim, suddenly recalling the morning warnings in the northern valley.
Mael Valerius’s warning of "having Tyrannosaurs and Mammoths" sent a chill down his spine.
"So that’s how it is..."
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes turned icy like the extreme north, his knuckles turning white.
He should have suspected as much earlier, remembering the cold edge in Kian Sterling’s eyes when mentioning monopolizing Luna, which clearly was not a joke.
Yet none of them took it to heart.
Nor did they expect Kian Sterling to act on it.
Caelan and Lian were also furious.
Though they hadn’t known Malachi for long, they knew him to be a bold and loyal Beastman, who never treated them as servants.
Instead, he treated them like family, brothers, and friends.
Little did they know that they’d be stabbed in the back by their own brother.
However, considering that Kian Sterling was influenced by the Demon Gu, they sighed remorsefully.
Caelan looked towards Luna Sutton, respectfully saying, "Master, Lian and I will go in and rescue him right away."
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes swept over the abyss’s entrance, his voice chilling like the icy northern pole, "I’ll go with you."
As he turned, he paused, brushing his finger over Luna Sutton’s cold, tender cheek, his voice softening unconsciously, "Wait here, if anyone dares come back a hair short, I’ll flay their fox hide."
He looked towards Jago, "Guard your master well."
Before his words fell, his form had transformed into the Ancient Silver-moon Direwolf, leaping towards the abyss’s entrance.
Caelan and Lian closely followed, the three shadows disappearing into the twisted darkness in an instant.
Luna Sutton watched the direction they disappeared, her fingertips unconsciously caressing her slightly raised stomach.
The night breeze carried fallen leaves as the three Fire-Feathered Birds hovered beside her, their warm light casting shadows on her profile.
"Master..."
Jago approached with a furrowed brow, his voice filled with hesitation and disbelief, "Could it be true about Lord Kian Sterling..."
"I also wish it weren’t true."
Luna Sutton cut him off, turning back to the rock seat with a complex expression and an inexplicable tone in her voice.
Jago noticed his master’s low mood. Though filled with questions, he wisely remained silent.
He stood quietly at the side, guarding silently.
