The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 38: Quinn Morgan Steals a Bite
She withdrew her thoughts and refocused on her teeth.
Feeling the change in her teeth, although she couldn’t see it, she could sense that her teeth were gradually becoming straighter.
However, it would take seven days to half a month to completely adjust, another regret.
She didn’t waste time and turned all the offal she prepared last night into various dishes.
Even though there were no chili peppers, fortunately, there were plenty of spices and wild vegetables, and a few flavor-enhancing wild fruits, all sourced from Tagren Forest yesterday.
There was Firethorn Fruit stir-fried with beef liver, ginger and garlic with pig heart, and beef tendon stewed to soft perfection, its aroma overflowing.
Also, there was stir-fried pig lung and a nourishing pig kidney soup.
Each dish was ample enough for Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus to share.
She tasted a bit of each herself and found the flavors quite good, not as good as those from her past life, but with their own unique taste.
She glanced at the two bones she brought back last night in the basket, thinking it was still early.
She took them out to wash, threw them into the cleaned stone pot for soup, and washed some mushrooms, tea tree mushrooms, bamboo fungus, and Hericium erinaceus mushrooms to simmer.
She sliced two pieces of ginger and put them in, lighting a fire to slowly stew.
The stone pot heats slowly, making bone soup takes the most time, it’s now mid-afternoon and at least won’t be ready to drink until evening.
Rhys Blackwood and the others don’t know when they’ll be back either.
Luna Sutton noticed the bowl of nourishing pig kidney soup, pondering whether to take it to Corbin Crowley, that dog of a man...
But she had been so confrontational at noon, if she eagerly brought soup over now, it would be too much.
She really couldn’t lower her pride.
Yet if she didn’t send it, that dog of a man already detested her to the fullest extent; if she didn’t do something, he might loathe her forever.
This task to win him over could never progress, let alone earn system rewards...
She twirled her fingers in anguish, staring at the bowl of pig kidney soup, her expression like she had tasted a sour lemon.
If she sent it now, she’d be mocked severely by that dog of a man.
Forget it, better not humiliate herself.
Luna Sutton gritted her teeth and decided to prioritize her dignity, so the bowl of pig kidney soup ended up inside her own stomach.
There it went, a big bowl of pig kidney soup poured inside, all the weight she’d lost was in vain.
Her heart was full of regret again.
At this time, Corbin Crowley was sulking in his mountain cave.
His residence was located in a spacious cave at the mountain’s peak, his private territory, rarely disturbed by other Beastmen or females.
The cave’s furnishings were simple, yet very much in the rough style of the Beastmen.
A stone bed was covered with soft beast pelts, and one corner of the cave was piled with some hunting tools and trophies.
At this moment, Corbin Crowley was sitting on the stone bed, his expression dark, as if he could carve a layer of frost.
In his hand, he toyed with a sharp bone spike, his silver eyes filled with violence, a face saying "Don’t mess with me."
"That fat woman, getting more outrageous, more annoying..."
His voice was cold, cursing with clenched teeth.
Yet in his mind, he couldn’t help picturing Luna Sutton’s mocking face.
The more he thought, the angrier he became, the bone spike in his hand creaking from his grip.
Suddenly standing up, he prepared to go hunting.
Though he had no lack of food today, he still wanted to hunt.
Otherwise, his pent-up anger had nowhere to vent, he was about to explode.
Just stepping out of the cave, a breeze blew by, carrying the light scent of food wafting up from the bottom of the mountain.
Corbin’s footsteps instantly halted as he deeply inhaled the scent, silvery eyes showing confusion.
This aroma... clearly the scent of some food, smelling very enticing.
Just like the pig intestines Luna Sutton cooked at noon.
The fragrance made him slobber.
Corbin Crowley understood instantly what was going on.
"That fat woman, all she knows is eating, why doesn’t she just get so fat it kills her?"
His face turned darker, muttering curses under his breath, then stepped further away.
Meanwhile, Quinn Morgan came to find Luna Sutton with a sullen look.
Quinn heard that Luna Sutton used her ability yesterday to knock Mia out, causing Mia to lose face.
Upon hearing the news, Quinn was instantly furious.
Mia was her daughter born from an affair with Aidan Veridian, not only beautiful but also well-behaved, sweet-tongued, fitting her liking in all aspects.
She was deeply fond of her daughter, always feeling guilty towards her.
Just because Mia couldn’t openly call her Matron.
Quinn Morgan had wanted to question Luna Sutton at that time but got delayed by other matters.
At noon again, she heard that Luna Sutton made pig intestines, those stinking things turned aromatic against all odds, completely overturning her perception.
Quinn’s curiosity piqued, she couldn’t resist coming to see what the daughter she always despised was up to.
Upon reaching the cave entrance, she noticed a peculiar platform had been built around there somehow.
In the center of the platform was a stone pot, inside simmered something, two clean bones and a few floating mushrooms, gently steaming.
Quinn Morgan already knew these mushrooms weren’t poisonous; the witch doctor’s words were certainly not wrong.
She glanced in but didn’t care, merely thinking what’s there to eat in two bare bones.
Her gaze shifted beside it, seeing several dishes filled with color, aroma, and flavor placed on the stove, served on stone plates.
Quinn Morgan was instantly stunned.
What is this? How can it smell so good?
She had never seen such gourmet dishes, nor tasted them.
In the Beast Realm, food was mostly roasted meat, never had she seen such exquisite cuisine.
Unable to resist, she grabbed a piece of ginger-garlic pig heart and put it in her mouth, though a bit hot, it was unbelievably delicious.
She almost wanted to swallow her tongue.
Her eyes widened, filled with disbelief.
Good heavens, what divine food is this? How can it be so tasty?
Much tastier than roasted meat.
When did that dead girl learn to cook such scrumptious food?
Could this be due to awakening the Wood Element Ability?
Yet even with Wood Element Ability, she shouldn’t be able to cook these...
Quinn Morgan was full of questions but couldn’t figure it out.
She couldn’t help eating another piece of Firethorn Fruit stir-fried with beef liver, finding it even tastier.
Obviously, Firethorn Fruit is sour to death; aside from females, no Beastman would eat it.
Yet this dead girl managed to make it so delicious.
And the stir-fried pig lung, its tender texture, was simply delectable.
Quinn Morgan completely forgot why she came, forgotten her dislike for Luna Sutton, didn’t even recall wanting to confront her.
Now, her mind and eyes were all focused on the food on the table, and the bones simmering in the stone pot.
Although she didn’t know what’s tasty about those two bones, the smell was so enticing, the taste couldn’t be bad.
Thinking this way, she unabashedly began eating.
Anyway, she was the dead girl’s Matron, eating some of her food was only right.
At this moment, she completely forgot how she usually treated Luna Sutton, with disdain and disgust nearly etched on her face.
Hmm, truly delicious.
Quinn Morgan ate with oil dripping from her mouth, still commenting meanwhile.
Her hands were all oily too, grabbing directly with hands.
Normally, grilled meat was eaten by hand, the Beast Realm had no chopsticks or anyone who would use them.
"This dead girl’s cooking is pretty good, just heard Kian Sterling ate pig intestines so much he couldn’t lift his head, even took a whole big plate back. She didn’t believe it then but now sees it’s true."
She was fully immersed in the food, not noticing a figure slowly approaching.
