The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 352 - 280: Perhaps It’s Better to Forget
Luna Sutton quickly weighed the pros and cons in her heart.
The Memory Cutting Knife could indeed trim away a portion of Mael Valerius’s memory, but this method felt somewhat unethical, like manipulating someone else’s thoughts.
Yet, she didn’t have a second identity transformation card, and there was no better choice at the moment.
Rather than continuing with deception, it might be better to...
But before she could make a choice.
A thunderous dragon roar suddenly echoed from afar.
Mael Valerius transformed into a hundred-meter Torch Dragon, soaring into the sky, blotting out the sun, with dark golden dragon scales reflecting a cold light in the morning glow.
He charged straight towards the direction where Luna Sutton stood.
"Luna, watch out!"
Kian Sterling’s face changed dramatically, realizing something was wrong. Ten fox tails expanded in an instant but were immediately forced back by the furious Mael Valerius.
"Mael Valerius, have you gone mad?"
Corbin Crowley rushed over upon hearing the commotion, his black hair flaring, an ice wall rising from the ground in an instant.
Rhys Blackwood appeared from nowhere, his aura cold, using his snake tail to whisk Luna Sutton rapidly away.
Zeke Veridian and Malachi Arcanus appeared one after the other, as Wind Blade and Netherworld Dark Fire simultaneously blasted towards the berserk Torch Dragon.
Soren Phoenix’s Fiery Red Feather Robe fluttered, Phoenix True Fire forming a barrier: "Cousin, calm down. Let’s talk this out."
A barrage of attacks landed on Mael Valerius, dragon scales peeling off his body, blood dripping.
But he didn’t care in the slightest, sweeping away all attacks with his Dragon Tail.
When he landed in human form, dark golden eyes surged with monstrous rage, glaring fiercely at Luna Sutton: "Liar."
The word made Luna Sutton’s heart ache, feeling both shame and distress.
"Let me explain..."
"Explain what?"
Mael Valerius looked at her with extreme disgust, as if seeing some filthy, revolting thing, coldly mocking: "Explain how you wore my Luna’s skin to enjoy my love? Do you, this stray wandering ghost from who knows where, even deserve it?"
Mael Valerius’s words cut into Luna Sutton’s heart like a knife.
She staggered back half a step, her face pale, feeling utterly ashamed.
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes instantly gathered frost, his voice like ice shards: "Take back those words."
"Take them back?"
Mael Valerius’s lips curled into a heavy sneer, the contempt in his eyes unmasked: "She is not Luna at all. The Sorceress warned me before she died, and I did have my suspicions. But unfortunately, I still believed her lies..."
He didn’t know it was the work of the transformation card; otherwise, why would he have believed so easily?
Luna Sutton’s face was ashen, rendered speechless for the moment.
She felt like a thief, stealing the original’s love.
The system’s shrill voice kept echoing in her mind: "Host, use the Memory Cutting Knife, use it! Quickly!"
But she remained unresponsive.
At this point, using it made no sense—it was better to stop the deceit.
It might as well be met with complete honesty.
Whatever came, she would endure.
Rhys Blackwood noticed her pale face, feeling pained inside, and hurriedly whisked her away with his snake tail, "Luna, let’s go."
"Go? First, get out of Luna’s body..."
Mael Valerius’s lips curled into a bloodthirsty arc, sweeping his Dragon Tail to force everyone back.
Soren Phoenix’s Fiery Red Feather Robe fluttered, quickly standing in front of Mael Valerius: "Cousin, calm down! Even if she’s not the original Luna, during these days..."
"Get out of the way..."
Mael Valerius no longer cared about familial bonds, transforming his hands into dragon claws and swiping Soren Phoenix away.
Then, with a speed as quick as lightning, he blocked Rhys Blackwood.
His dark golden eyes were fixed on Luna Sutton cradled by Rhys Blackwood, bare disdain showing, with none of his former affection: "Did you think using dark magic to take Luna’s body would allow you to replace her?"
With each word, Luna Sutton’s face turned a shade paler.
Kian Sterling chuckled, stepping forward, yet his smile held no warmth: "Mael Valerius, who do you truly love? The little female who saved you, or the act of saving itself?"
These words were like a bucket of ice water on Mael Valerius, leaving him stunned.
Corbin Crowley seized the moment to pull Luna Sutton behind him protectively, his silver gaze icy as he looked at Mael Valerius: "Even though she’s not the Luna in your heart, you’ve spent so much time together. Can you truly say you have no feelings for her?"
Mael Valerius’s expression hesitated for a split second, then returned to indifference, his voice hoarse: "What of it? My desire has always been for my Luna...not this imposter!"
The final three words completely shattered Luna Sutton.
She suddenly pushed Corbin Crowley aside, facing Mael Valerius directly: "Yes, I am indeed not the original Luna Sutton."
"Luna!"
