The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 324 - 264: Seventh Beast Husband (Part 2)
"Bang!"
Corbin Crowley’s ice crystal, Mael Valerius’s dragon tail, Rhys Blackwood’s snake tail, Kian Sterling’s fox tail, Zeke Veridian’s Wind Blade, Malachi Arcanus’s Netherworld Dark Fire simultaneously blasted towards Soren Phoenix.
Soren Phoenix didn’t expect a joking remark would provoke such anger from everyone. His figure flickered, transforming into a streak of fire to dodge everyone’s attack, while sarcastically remarking, "Oh dear, someone can’t take a joke."
Luna Sutton watched Soren Phoenix’s flamboyant evasion, her eyes twitching.
This guy is definitely a show-off.
She cleared her throat and said seriously, "Everyone, stop messing around. Since we’re all family and will live together from now on, I hope you can get along peacefully."
Upon hearing this, all the Beast Husbands restrained their attacks, but their gazes towards Soren Phoenix were still unfriendly.
Soren Phoenix, however, appeared unaffected, gracefully waving his feather fan. "Alright, alright, I was just kidding. Since Luna has spoken, I, the newcomer, must obey."
With that, he cast a wink at Luna Sutton.
Luna Sutton ignored his wink and turned to look at the busy beastmen, "Everyone, don’t stop. Keep working."
The beastmen responded and continued their tasks.
The construction of the city wall proceeded in an orderly manner.
After Kian Sterling conferred with the Priest and Lyle Sutton, they made some modifications to the original building blueprint based on the terrain and practical circumstances.
They finally decided to build city walls on all four sides to encircle The Wolf Tribe.
The wall thickness was set at five meters, the height at ten meters, and four city gates would be left open for convenience of access.
As for houses, they would be built slowly after the construction of the city walls.
Luna Sutton supervised while teaching Shawn Sutton, Stellan, and Felix Forrest, three Beastmen youths, how to fire pottery.
With clay pots and other vessels, everyone could store fresh water and food, eliminating the need to wrap them in leaves or animal skins as before, greatly facilitating daily life.
The three Beastmen youths learned diligently.
Especially Shawn Sutton; he was naturally dexterous and quickly grasped the key skills of pottery firing, producing increasingly refined pottery.
While Stellan and Felix Forrest weren’t as gifted as Shawn Sutton, they were hardworking and eager to learn. Though their pottery wasn’t as exquisite, it was very functional.
Luna Sutton was very satisfied with their results and specially praised them at the tribe meeting, entrusting them with the task of pottery firing. Henceforth, any beastmen needing pottery could approach the three of them for firing.
They would receive remuneration, either in meat or animal skins.
Sixty percent would go to the tribe, thirty percent to Luna Sutton, while Shawn Sutton, Stellan, and Felix Forrest would share ten percent.
For a time, the previously low-status, often looked down upon Beastmen were suddenly sought after by everyone.
Those beastmen who once looked down on Shawn Sutton, Stellan, and Felix Forrest were now eagerly gathering around, trying to curry favor for priority in purchasing pottery.
Technical personnel are highly valued no matter the world. This truly is a secure job.
The three Beastmen youngsters, having never witnessed such a scene, were momentarily at a loss.
Eventually, it was Luna Sutton who stepped in, establishing a system and order for taking orders and processing them sequentially, prohibiting any rushing.
No one dared to oppose this and obediently followed the set sequence.
After setting the rules for Shawn Sutton and the other two, Luna Sutton turned around to see Soren Phoenix crouching beside the kiln, his Fiery Red Feather Robe dragging on the ground, covered in dirt and ash without concern, enthusiastically shaping a crooked clay pot.
"Is Young Lord Fawkes changing careers to become a potter?"
She raised her eyebrows and walked over.
Soren Phoenix looked up, his flower eyes gleaming with charm. "Making a love token for Luna~"
As he spoke, he raised the uniquely ugly clay pot, its bottom still leaking mud.
Malachi Arcanus suddenly appeared from behind and sneered, "This rubbish? My Luna could stomp something better than this!"
"What do you know?"
Soren Phoenix’s fingertip suddenly emitted a Phoenix True Fire, turning the crooked clay pot red-hot, "Personally fired by Young Lord, even ugly is limited edition~"
Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes glanced at the leaking-bottom pot, coolly saying, "Luna doesn’t lack containers."
"Waste of time, better to go work."
Rhys Blackwood suddenly blurted out a phrase.
"Exactly!"
Mael Valerius’s dragon tail curled, pulling Luna Sutton to him, "Anything Luna wants, those three wolf cubs will naturally fire it for her. You aren’t needed."
"Cousin, you’re so annoying~"
Soren Phoenix rolled his eyes but was about to retort when suddenly a dragon’s roar echoed from the distant sky.
"Look at the sky!"
A beastman heard the commotion and shouted.
Everyone looked up to see an Azure Torch Dragon spiraling down, transforming into a silver-haired elder with kindly features upon landing.
The newcomer was none other than Silas Valerius, The Dragon Clan’s Third Elder.
"Uncle?"
Mael Valerius squinted his eyes upon seeing the newcomer, then strode over, "What’s the old man sending you here for?"
Silas Valerius strode over, his gaze noticing Soren Phoenix messing around with the clay pot beside the kiln, a flash of surprise crossing his filmy old eyes.
But that lasted just a moment before he returned to normal.
He directly addressed Mael Valerius, revealing his purpose, "Young Master, the Clan Leader orders you to return immediately to The Dragon Clan, saying there’s urgent business to discuss."
Mael Valerius deeply furrowed his brows, extremely displeased, "What’s the old man plotting now?"
Silas Valerius’s expression did not change, remaining benevolent and kind. "Young Master, the Clan Leader didn’t elaborate, only mentioned there’s urgent business requiring your personal presence."
As he spoke, he sideways glanced at Luna Sutton, his eyes harboring deep meaning.
Mael Valerius, being so sharp, immediately sensed something amiss.
His dark golden eyes narrowed, speaking coldly, "Is the old man thinking the Phoenix Clan’s two elders’ betrayal is linked to Luna? Is he trying to trick me back?"
Such thoughts weren’t hard to deduce; the old man’s nature, what he’s plotting, Mael pretty much knows with accuracy.
