Chapter 322: Chapter 263: System PK vs. Rogue Plugin (Part 2)

It seems it’s Corbin’s turn tonight, whether by coincidence or by the system’s design.

She was sneaking a glance at Corbin when she noticed his silver eyes narrowing as he strode over suddenly.

"What are you looking at?" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Corbin clasped her waist with a dangerous, deep voice: "Was The Mad Dragon not troublesome enough last night?"

Her face instantly turned crimson. How does this man know everything?

Is it possible he was secretly watching again last night?

Corbin’s fingertips caressed her slender waist as he leaned in to whisper in her ear: "Tonight, it’s my turn."

As for Soren, let him roll aside; trying to cozy up with Luna as soon as he arrived, how could that be possible?

At least not until the cycle rotates again or he waits a while first.

No one knew what Corbin’s nights have been like during these days.

Every minute and second were torture.

The feeling was indescribably unpleasant.

"Cough, cough."

Suddenly, Kian coughed twice, his fox tail discreetly flicking Corbin’s arm away before using it to draw Luna Sutton to his side, "Luna, the city wall blueprint needs your confirmation."

Zeke’s jade eyes swept over the two’s adjacent bodies, coldly remarking: "Public indecency in broad daylight."

Malachi squeezed directly in between them, even using his butt to push Kian aside, then wrapped his arm around Luna Sutton, pointing at Chloe and shouting: "Look, Luna, she’s having a fit; who knows if it’s contagious. Should we just tie her up?"

Rhys, however, was more direct, coldly stating: "Keeping such scum around is troublesome; we might as well kill her and be done with it."

His words seemed to drop the surrounding temperature by several degrees, the chilling intent causing everyone to shiver.

Mael Valerius’s dragon tail curled around and snatched Luna Sutton into his embrace, looking down at Chloe, who was rolling on the ground, with distaste: "I also think killing her is better; leaving her is only a disaster."

Chloe suddenly stopped screaming, enduring the excruciating pain in her head, tearfully begging for mercy while kowtowing: "No, please don’t kill me, I can work, I can birth children for the tribe—"

"Killing her is indeed easy."

Kian smiled gently, like jade, "But that would be too lenient for her; let her continue being a slave. Sometimes living is harder than dying, isn’t it?"

Chloe and Nolan conspired to poison The Old Beast King, so Kian hated her to the core, unwilling to let her die so easily, which everyone understood; hearing his words, no one said anything further.

Rhys silently withdrew his hand, leaving Kian to have his way.

Whether Chloe lived or died, it didn’t matter to him.

Kian’s cold gaze swept over Chloe, issuing the order: "Yuri Ashwood, lock her feet. Remember, she must be able to walk but cannot escape. Also, carve a Slave Mark on her face; a slave should look like a slave. Take her to dig, don’t stop until nightfall."

Yuri Ashwood immediately advanced with two beastmen, roughly dragging the still-trembling Chloe away.

Due to the system’s invading rogue plugin, Chloe’s previously used ’Basic Charm Aura’ had lost its effectiveness.

Chloe struggled in terror: "No! Please—"

"Shut up."

Yuri Ashwood slapped her, causing Chloe’s face to instantly swell, blood oozing from the corner of her mouth.

Silence fell, and she dared not struggle or plead further.

Luna Sutton watched coldly as Chloe was dragged away, inquiring in her mind: "How about now? Is her rogue plugin crippled?"

"Ding! Invasion successful!"

The system’s voice was triumphant, "Though it couldn’t completely destroy it, at least for three months that broken plugin won’t help Chloe cause trouble. But host, since she is the original female lead, Heavenly Dao might..."

"Understood."

Luna Sutton interrupted, "At least it will be peaceful for three months."

The rogue plugin had secretly implanted a virus into her system, incapacitating it for three months.

This was merely tit-for-tat.

She turned to look at Soren, who was directing the transportation of goods.

The flamboyant phoenix detected her gaze, immediately throwing a seductive wink: "Luna, are you charmed by my handsomeness?"

Corbin’s silver eyes turned icy cold, instantly stepping between them: "Young Lord Fawkes, mind your words."

Soren nonchalantly flicked his Fiery Red Feather Robe: "Why so tense? I’ve already solved the trouble for The Wolf Tribe; the old man agreed not to continue attacking. Now, I am Luna’s Seventh Beast Husband~"

"That’s just your one-sided story, who knows if it’s true?"

Rhys interjected abruptly, silently pulling Luna Sutton closer to him, "Your sister and Great Shaman Ignis Fawkes’s deaths are no small matter; along with the defection of two Tenth Rank Tributors, do you think your father would let it go so easily?"

He truly didn’t believe it; this was fundamentally irreconcilable hatred.

Soren’s eyes narrowed dangerously at Rhys’s words, "Rhys, are you questioning me?"

Rhys returned the gaze, expressionless: "Just stating facts."

Seeing the atmosphere turn tense, Luna Sutton hurriedly interrupted: "Stop arguing! Soren, did your father really promise not to pursue it?"

Soren’s face changed instantaneously, his Fiery Red Feather Robe swirled before approaching her, laughing mischievously: "Of course~ I threatened him with the Illusion Leaf; the old man fears those past events being exposed."

He suddenly lowered his voice, "But..."

His fingertips subtly hooked Luna Sutton’s pinky: "The old man wants to meet you."

"No way!"

The six Beast Husbands spoke in unison.

Soren elegantly rolled his eyes, "Why so anxious? I haven’t finished talking yet. I’ve already refused the old man, telling him to come see you himself. Luna going to the Phoenix Clan is out of the question."

Luna Sutton exhaled in relief, truly afraid Soren might not be clear-headed and agree to let his father meet her.

Although she’d been to the Phoenix Clan before and stirred it up heaven and earth, that was with an Invisibility Cloak, sneaking around.

If she went openly, who knows how she might die.

"Young Lord Fawkes, you better not try any tricks."

Corbin’s silver eyes were cold as ice, full of warning.

Soren remained unaffected, laughing wantonly: "If I wanted to harm Luna, why go to such lengths negotiating with the old man and bringing supplies all the way here?"

He pointed behind him at the dozen or so fully loaded Giant-Horned Beasts.

Malachi suddenly darted over, flipping open the foremost beast-skin bundle—

Crash!

Translucent salt crystals poured out, refracting halos in the morning light.

"Salt?"

Zeke’s jade eyes narrowed slightly, his fingertips brushed some into his mouth, "High purity."

Although The Wolf Tribe did not lack salt, even owning a The Salt Lake, this was enough to prove Soren’s sincerity.

Soren proudly flicked his feather fan: "This is Snow Crystal Salt specially provided by the Phoenix Clan, enough for The Wolf Tribe for three years."

Corbin, Rhys, Kian, Malachi, and others were all very surprised.

"Luna~"

Soren suddenly leaned to Luna Sutton’s ear, his breath smelling like orchid, "Is this offering enough to be the Seventh Beast Husband?"

Mael Valerius sneered, kicking over: "In your dreams!"

"Oh, cousin~"

Soren agilely jumped aside, the Fiery Red Feather Robe fluttering to reveal his broad chest, "You’ve got your title, can’t you let your cousin wait in line?"

Kian’s fox eyes narrowed slightly, staring at Soren with a gentle smile like water: "Young Lord Fawkes, in The Wolf Tribe, we have a rule: newcomers sleep on the outermost..."

He discreetly flicked his fox tail, attempting to trip Soren.

Soren, however, seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, spinning steadily to maintain balance, even managing to touch Kian’s fox tail, laughing effusively: "Oh my, so slippery~"

Kian’s face changed slightly, instantly retracting his fox tail, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

This Soren, indeed, is not simple.
