Chapter 314: Chapter 259: Schemes (Part 2)

It’s even more thorough than she imagined, saving her quite a bit of trouble.

Wild hemp isn’t exactly impossible to find; it’s just that she hadn’t specifically gone looking for it, not having come across it yet, so it’s been shelved until now.

She was just about to say something.

Malachi suddenly dashed to the loom, his wild handsome face full of disdain: "What use is this shabby frame? Better to bring back a few more prey!"

Before Kian Sterling could speak, Luna Sutton slapped the back of Malachi’s head: "Idiot, this is a loom. With it, we can weave hemp into cloth, so everyone won’t have to wear animal hides anymore."

Malachi covered his head and muttered, "Hides are great, warm and sturdy..."

Corbin Crowley’s silver eyes looked at him coolly, "Fool, although animal hides are warm, they are stuffy in hot weather, not nearly as comfortable as these."

Hemp can also be made into sacks, ropes, it has multiple uses.

He had seen it in Beast King City, but hadn’t found any hemp and didn’t know how to process it.

Rhys Blackwood picked up a strand of hemp with his fingertips: "The beastmen and females in Beast King City wear this during The Blazing Season, definitely cooler than hides."

Zeke Veridian’s emerald eyes swept over the hemp materials, wind blades flying between his fingertips, a few strands of hemp being shaved into fine threads: "Good toughness."

Kian Sterling smiled and added: "Hemp is good stuff, not only can you make clothes, you can also weave ropes, sacks, and fishing nets."

Mael Valerius glanced over it, knowing that such things were certainly in the Dragon Clan, not only hemp but also silk.

Malachi suddenly squeezed over, "This thing is very rough, how could it be softer and more comfortable than hides?"

"Hemp has its uses, why are you complaining?"

Zeke’s wind blade was about to slice past.

Malachi knew what he wanted to do, as his palm ignited with the "Netherworld Dark Fire" with a "poof," indicating if you dared to cut my hair, I’d definitely get even with you.

Luna Sutton rubbed her forehead and quickly separated these childish beings: "Stop it, guys, quickly move the loom into the shed, and later come with me to dig and build a kiln."

The Wolf Tribe was burned by the Phoenix Clan, and since they decided to settle down in Sky-mist Canyon, everything naturally must start anew.

Luna Sutton had several beast husbands move the loom into the shelter; this loom was an important tool for the future and needed to be properly placed.

Then, she led a few beast husbands to start building a kiln, preparing to fire pottery bowls, basins, jars, vats, and pots for daily use.

"Rhys, you’ve built a kiln before, so you’ll be responsible this time."

Luna Sutton instructed.

Rhys nodded, eyes scanning the surroundings, finally arriving at a hillside not far from the lake.

Standing before the slope, his black serpent tail swept through the ground, outlining the kiln foundation.

"The soil here is solid, sheltered from the wind and facing the sun, perfect for building a kiln."

His voice was indifferent, although his mind was recalling the process of kiln construction and the required materials.

"I’ll go find clay."

Corbin, who had dug clay before, was well-versed with these materials.

He spread his silver bone wings, the third eye on his brow slightly open, scanning the area, "The clay by the lake has the best quality, should be suitable for firing pottery."

Malachi squatted nearby, his fingertips flickering with azure flames, a wild smile on his unrestrained face: "If you ask me, just use my Netherworld Dark Fire to bake a few pieces of pottery, wouldn’t that be easier?"

"Idiot."

Zeke glanced at him with emerald eyes, "Pottery needs to be durable, you have to follow steps. You can’t control the heat well, what you produce would be all waste."

"Dead bamboo, who are you looking down on?"

Malachi snarled and jumped up, his palm flame bursting. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Luna Sutton quickly stepped in between them, "Stop it, Malachi, your flame is indeed powerful, but firing pottery requires slow roasting, your Netherworld Fire is too intense."

She reached out to poke Malachi’s rock-hard abs, "But once the kiln is built, you can help control the heat."

Malachi, poked like this, immediately acted like a smoothed wolf, retracting his flame with a grin: "Little Luna understands me after all."

Kian Sterling stood to one side, his ten snow-white fox tails elegantly swaying, his beautiful fox eyes filled with amusement: "Luna, I’ll lead people to prepare the wood for building houses. In Beast King City, there’s a mortise and tenon structure that’s much more solid than just piling stones."

"Really?"

Luna’s eyes lit up, pulling out a blueprint from the system backpack, "I have detailed house construction plans here, see if they can be used."

Kian took the drawing, his gaze flashing with wonder: "This is... wall design? Where did Luna get such exquisite drawings?"

"A gift from The Beast God in dreams."

She lied without missing a beat, casually glancing at Malachi stealthily kneading a lump of clay into the corner.

Curious, she followed, discovering Malachi was clumsily shaping a bowl with his rough fingers, exercising caution as he baked the edges with his finger flame.

Noticing her gaze, Malachi’s ears turned slightly red, yet he feigned ferocity: "What are you looking at? I’m just testing it out!"

She found it amusing, this wild wolf appeared rough but was delicate inside.

She squatted down, holding his clay-covered hands: "Let me teach you. Pinch like this first... there, take it slow..."

Malachi concentrated hard under her guidance, the azure flame tenderly flickered in his palm, no longer the usual frenzy.

In the distance, Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Mael Valerius noticed this scene, internally experiencing a surge of jealousy, expressions turning unsightly.

Who would’ve thought, Malachi the brute had such little tricks, not really about firing pottery, surely trying to take advantage of Luna!

Even Kian Sterling felt that the architectural blueprint in his hands seemed less appealing, his beautiful fox eyes narrowing slightly, the ten fox tails at his back swaying dangerously.

He elegantly rolled up the blueprint and approached Malachi.

"Luna."

His warm voice tinged with danger, "There are a few things I don’t quite understand about this blueprint..."

Malachi snorted interrupting him: "Cunning fox, you’re smart as hell, saying you don’t understand the blueprint? Who are you trying to fool?"

Despite his rough fingers being covered with clay, he held onto Luna Sutton’s wrist unwaveringly, with a wild defiant look in his eyes.

Kian was not fazed, chuckling softly, elegantly unfolding the blueprint, "I do indeed understand this blueprint, but I’d rather hear Luna’s detailed explanation. After all, this blueprint came from Luna, her understanding would be much deeper than ours."

Luna glanced up at Kian, understanding his jealousy and desire to pull her away from Malachi, inwardly amused.

She stood, brushed off the dirt from her hands, "Actually, I don’t understand much either, but we can study it together."

Saying this, she went to Kian’s side, where the two of them began examining the blueprint.

While Malachi was left alone, his face darkening.

Corbin inserted himself between the pair, his silver eyes chillingly sweeping over Kian: "Luna, the clay is ready."

Rhys’s serpent tail coiled up a few flat stones, sliding over with a cold voice: "The kiln foundation needs to be paved with these."

Zeke’s emerald eyes swept over the group, suddenly pulling Luna Sutton: "Teach me to weave first."

In a blink, Mael Valerius grabbed her away, a big hand tightly holding her in his embrace, "Luna, it’s my turn tonight, you promised you’d let me do whatever I want."

As those words fell, the scene fell into a dead silence, everyone gazed furiously at Mael Valerius, their eyes seeming ready to shoot fire.

Mael Valerius was indifferent, his dark golden eyes fixated on Luna Sutton.

Not only did he repeat it, but he also emphasized the words "do whatever I want," his demeanor and tone full of possessiveness and challenge.

Luna Sutton felt overwhelmed, facing these unique yet jealousy-stricken beast husbands, she only felt a headache coming on.

Silently cursing Mael Valerius, muttering it was something he should know himself, why say it publicly, and emphasize it overly.
