Chapter 309: Chapter 256: Jealousy

Under the moonlight, Luna gazed at the unclothed Malachi before her. His perfectly toned body, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, was on full display. The droplets of water tracing down his V-line made her swallow hard.

This man was truly a feast for the eyes.

"Do you like what you see?"

Malachi noticed her staring intently, feeling rather pleased, a roguish smile playing on his lips, "So, little Luna is quite taken with my body."

"Don’t flatter yourself."

She reached out to poke his rock-hard abs, the sensation on her fingertips making her heart skip a beat. "Give me a back rub."

With that, she turned around, exposing her back to him.

Malachi chuckled softly, his big palm pressing against her smooth back, fingers gently sliding down her waistline, "Little Luna’s back is beautiful, even whiter than moonlight."

Droplets rolled off his fingertips, leaving winding trails on her skin.

Luna whimpered lightly, turning back to slap his wandering hand away, "I asked for a back rub, not for you to cop a feel."

"Isn’t this rubbing as well?"

Malachi mischievously leaned down, gently nipping the soft flesh on the back of her neck, "Using one’s mouth is still considered rubbing."

The lake surface suddenly rippled.

She quickly spun around, splashing Malachi’s face with water.

With wet eyelashes fluttering under the moonlight, his rugged face presented an unexpected cuteness.

"So little Luna likes playing in the water?"

Malachi wiped his face, a dangerous curve outlining his lips, and suddenly lifted her by the waist, "Then let’s have some fun in the deep water—"

"Splash!"

The two plunged into the heart of the lake, startling the night herons resting by the shore.

The cool lake water instantly enveloped them; the world beneath the surface became tranquil and dreamy.

Luna was startled by his sudden move and instinctively struggled to emerge from the water, brushing wet hair from her face, just in time to see Malachi breaking through the water’s surface.

Droplets cascaded down his collarbone, with his eight-pack glistening honey-like under the moonlight.

"Mesmerized?"

Malachi pressed her against a large rock in the lake’s center, "I’ll give you a good look in a moment."

About to lean in for a kiss.

A crisp "snap" suddenly echoed from the shore.

"Who’s there!"

Malachi furrowed his brows, yelling sharply as his gaze turned toward the sound.

They saw a furry silver head pop out from the reeds by the lake.

It was none other than Kael, who had sneaked out to play.

The little wolf tilted its head, silver eyes blinking, a flapping fish clamped in its mouth.

"You little rascal, go play somewhere else."

Malachi nearly laughed in frustration, this little one truly belonged to Corbin Crowley, just like his father, loved sneaking peeks.

Inside, Luna was speechless, poking Malachi’s chest with her fingertip, "It’s just a pup, what does it know?"

Malachi quickly caught her mischievous finger, his Adam’s apple bobbing, voice husky, "This little guy’s smart. Last time, he even learned to weave nets with vines from Zeke."

Before he finished speaking, Kael suddenly let out a "howl," dropping the fish clutched in his mouth, and dashed off towards The Wolf Tribe’s temporary camp, disappearing in a flash.

"He sure can run."

Malachi laughed softly, nudging her neck with his nose, "Now there’s no one to disturb us."

Moonlight pierced the lake surface, casting ripples onto their bodies.

Malachi’s muscles rose and fell with his breaths, droplets tracing down his V-line into the water.

She deliberately brushed against him with her knee, a mischievous smile on her lips, "In such a rush? Didn’t you say we should get thoroughly cleaned just a moment ago?"

Malachi grabbed her restless legs, his voice raspy, "Let’s get to it then."

Suddenly pulling her underwater, in Luna’s gasp of surprise, he kissed...

Her body went rigid immediately, an electric sensation overcoming her, her eyes shimmering with moisture.

Only Kian Sterling had ever been like this, not Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, or Zeke Veridian.

"You wild wolf... you do know how to please someone."

Waves rippled from their movements, fractured moonlight scattering like silver shimmers.

In the shadows, Maya gripped the medicinal herbs in her hands tightly, almost crushing them.

The witch doctor said there weren’t enough herbs, hence she was told what to gather and sent out to collect some more.

But unexpectedly, she stumbled upon this scene.

She never expected Malachi would do such things for Luna...

It didn’t feel...

Thinking back about her own beast husbands, not even Wolf Fang had ever done this for her.

But that didn’t mean she didn’t secretly yearn for it, she was just shy to voice it out.

"Slut."

Jealously reddening eyes, Maya turned only to bump into a wall of flesh.

Wolf Fang stood behind her with a grim expression, still holding a blood-stained bone knife.

He had just returned from handling the battlefield and saw Maya eavesdropping on others mating.

Hiding in the reeds.

"Seen enough?"

Wolf Fang grasped her chin, "Want to take a closer look?"

Maya was intimidated by the fierceness in his eyes and suddenly remembered that Wolf Fang was once her brother-in-law. Back then, in pursuit of her sister Mia, he defeated many formidable warriors in the tribe, counting as one of the strongest.

She pretended to be calm and shook off his hand: "What are you crazy about, I’m just here to help the witch doctor gather herbs.."

Wolf Fang sneered and tore off her beast skin skirt: "Does gathering herbs require crouching in the reeds?"

Suddenly, the reddened sound of water came from the heart of the lake, accompanied by the male and female whimpers drifting over.

Wolf Fang’s eyes darkened, and directly hoisted the struggling Maya towards the depths of the dense forest. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

On the large stone, Luna Sutton was in a complete daze. Though Malachi Arcanus was wild, he was willing to lower himself to serve her, not minding a bit.

Like now, Malachi was kissing her toes, a look of intoxication on his face.

"Don’t you think my feet have a smell?"

She couldn’t help but ask curiously, since many men couldn’t stand it.

Malachi looked up, a wild smile playing on his untamed face: "Luna’s whole body is fragrant, everywhere smells good."

After speaking, he deliberately took a satisfied sip, showing his fondness.

Luna Sutton laughed at his straightforward remark, stretching her long leg, her toe hooking his chin: "Do you like it?"

"Like it."

Malachi took the opportunity to grasp her ankle, his gaze burning as he stared at her, "I like every part of Luna."

He suddenly rose, his strong body pressing against her in another bout of passion.

Half-dazed, Luna Sutton’s mind then sounded the system’s voice.

"Ding, congratulations to the host, Malachi’s favorability +20, current favorability 95, entering the deep love stage, rewarding the host with 1 construction blueprint, 1 Heavenly Craftsmanship Map, 1 Hundred Beasts Taming Whistle, rewards have been sent to the system backpack, please check."

Half-dazed, Luna Sutton heard the system prompt, a smile unconsciously tugging at the corners of her mouth.

This wild wolf’s favorability sure rises fast.

She was about to check the system rewards, suddenly Malachi flipped her back onto the lake heart stone.

In the moonlight, his wild and unrestrained face was near, his nose brushing against her neck: "Luna, it’s not good to be absent-minded..."

In the rippling water, Luna Sutton again fainted in a daze.

...

At dawn, Malachi was already carrying her fainted body back to the hut, gently placing her on the beast-skin mat, with hay underneath, covered in beast hides.

He gently caressed her face, a tender smile on his lips, then quietly sneaked out of the hut to prepare food.

Corbin Crowley and Rhys Blackwood carried dozens of bundles of rice back to the tribe.

Both were still covered in morning dew, their silver and black eyes simultaneously swept towards the hut, just in time to see Malachi coming out, his face wearing pleasure from the spring breeze.

Inside the hut, Luna Sutton was fast asleep, a contented smile on her lips.

Corbin Crowley and Rhys Blackwood exchanged a glance, both seeing the dissatisfaction in each other’s eyes.

It seems these two had a lot of fun last night.

Recalling how they worked tirelessly cutting rice through the night, their dissatisfaction grew.

They wished they could immediately beat Malachi up.

With such thoughts in mind, they actually did it.

Malachi was in a great mood, about to go out and prepare food for Luna Sutton.

When he caught two unfriendly gazes.

He looked up, right into the sullen faces of Corbin Crowley and Rhys Blackwood.

Malachi: "..."

Why do these two look like they want to eat him?

He didn’t provoke them last night.

"You’re back."

Malachi stopped: "Did you finish cutting the rice?"

"Finished."

Corbin Crowley spoke coldly, his silver eyes glaring at him, "Had a lot of fun last night, didn’t you?"

Malachi grinned triumphantly: "Not bad, too bad Luna’s stamina isn’t enough, or else I could’ve lasted longer in battle..."

"Bang!"

No sooner had he finished speaking, Corbin Crowley suddenly punched him in the face.

Caught unawares, Malachi was hit squarely, his entire body falling back, crashing into the rice drying pile behind him.

"Ow!"

Malachi cried out in pain, clutching his quickly swelling cheek, glaring at Corbin Crowley, "What are you crazy about?"

Corbin Crowley flexed his wrist, a playful look in his eyes: "Nothing much, just think you’re particularly asking for a beating today, couldn’t resist the urge."

"Indeed asking for a beating."

Rhys Blackwood coldly added, "Luna was already exhausted last night, before leaving she told you to hold back, yet you fought till dawn, trying to exhaust her to death?"

Malachi, no matter how dumb, realized that these two were openly jealous, deliberately picking a fight.
