The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 295 - 248: Sinister
Celestia Fawkes looked at the place where the Wolf Tribe once lived, now turned to ruins in an instant, and felt an unprecedented sense of delight.
Her swollen hoof crushed a piece of scattered beast bone on the ground, her voice hoarse and unpleasant: "Run? Let’s see where you can run to!"
She turned to look at Ignatius Phoenix, her festering eyelids drooping: "Great Shaman, I know you’re the most powerful; surely you have the ability to find that contemptible female."
Great Shaman Ignis Fawkes glanced at her but did not reply. Holding the Bone Staff, he walked towards a collapsed stone house and fished out a piece of leftover beast hide from the corner.
Though he didn’t know whose it was, it was certainly left by the Wolf Tribe.
Great Shaman Ignis Fawkes began to chant incantations: "With blood as a guide, pursue the soul for thousands of miles!"
He cut his finger and let the blood drip onto the beast hide, the fresh blood suddenly transforming into tiny blood worms that burrowed into the ground with a rustle.
A moment later, the soil in the southeast roiled, and the blood worms formed an arrow pointing towards Sky-mist Canyon.
"Found it."
Great Shaman Ignis smirked, "So they were hiding there."
......
Meanwhile, in Sky-mist Canyon, the night was as dark as ink.
Luna Sutton was crouched on the ground, holding a stick and drawing something in the dirt.
She was drawing a detailed map of the Sky-mist Canyon, so thorough that every route was clearly depicted.
This was based on system maps, and she didn’t forget to mark spots suitable for setting traps.
Rhys Blackwood stared at the extremely detailed map on the ground, his dark eyes looking at her in confusion: "Luna, how are you so familiar with Sky-mist Canyon?"
Although he had spent three months in Sky-mist Canyon, he could only roughly navigate without getting lost, but drawing a complete map was beyond him.
Corbin Crowley, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, Mael Valerius, and Lyle Sutton also crouched nearby, all curious after hearing Rhys’ question.
Kael, Kael Shadowend, and Frey were playing beside them, along with eight little snakes.
Luna Sutton tapped a certain point on the map with her stick, feigning calm indifference as she rambled, "I’ve been here in my dreams."
The crowd: "..."
That reason was truly irrefutable.
No one asked anything further, assuming it was guidance from the Beast God in a dream.
She didn’t care if they believed her or not, continuing to draw with the stick on the ground, "Here’s the entrance. Although the Phoenix Clan excels at flying, the toxic mists pervading Sky-mist Canyon obscure their vision, making flight unfavorable. They will surely enter from the mouth of the canyon, and upon entering, they will pass through here—traps can be set..."
What she suggested were based on various military strategies she’d read in her past life, paired with the terrain of Sky-mist Canyon.
"What I’m most afraid of now is if the Phoenix Clan can’t find us and falls into the Wolf Tribe’s ambush. In their humiliation and rage, they might recklessly set the mountains on fire, and then any traps we’ve set will be useless, exposing us without refuge."
Luna Sutton frowned, clearly contemplating how to handle such a dire situation.
Setting the mountains on fire—Celestia Fawkes would unquestionably do that.
Mael Valerius listened silently the whole time, turning his gaze to her with a sneer: "Set the mountains on fire? Then they’re sadly mistaken."
He smirked coldly, "Don’t forget, I am the Torch Dragon, capable of bringing rain and spraying water."
Upon hearing this, her eyes lit up as she looked at Mael Valerius: "Of course! You can bring rain to extinguish the fire, and use the mist to worsen the canyon’s toxic mists, making it even harder for them to find their way."
Back in Aetheria, when she first met Celestia Fawkes, the other party also set the mountains on fire to find people. Later, the Dragon Clan summoned rain to extinguish that blaze.
Suddenly feeling that the Dragon Clan was simply the nemesis of the Phoenix Clan.
Mael Valerius curled his lips into a smile: "Exactly. I will guard above the canyon. If they dare set fire, I’ll let them taste what it’s like to be drenched."
The few present all laughed at these words.
With Mael Valerius there, there’s no fear of the Phoenix Clan setting the mountains on fire.
Lyle Sutton chuckled, "Then let’s follow Luna’s plan, and head out to set traps separately. Let’s make those traps as sinister as possible and ensure the Phoenix Clan will have no return journey this time!"
Everyone responded in unison, getting up to prepare.
Luna Sutton had just stood up when the system’s voice rang in her mind.
"Host, Great Shaman Ignis Fawkes has arrived in the Lower Domain with elite warriors, and they’ve burned the entire Wolf Tribe."
Her eyes instantly turned cold, the stick in her hand breaking with a snap.
"What’s wrong?"
Corbin Crowley sharply noticed her change.
"The Phoenix Clan has arrived."
Her voice was icy, "The tribe... has been burned."
Rhys Blackwood’s footsteps halted immediately, "Did those little animals tell you?"
Luna can communicate with all living beings, instinctively assuming she heard something.
