The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 292 - 246: Qi Cultivation Seventh Layer (Part 2)
If Corbin Crowley were born later, he probably couldn’t help but say that such people are suited to be monks or Taoists.
Rhys Blackwood sat cross-legged by the fire, spread a wide beast skin on the ground, and gestured for Luna Sutton to sit down.
Luna smiled and didn’t refuse, sitting down naturally.
The eight little snakes immediately slithered over to lie beside their parents.
The witch doctor carrying a beast skin bag handed out herbal pills to everyone, "Eat these, to prevent snake venom."
Malachi Arcanus took a pill and tossed it into his mouth, raising an eyebrow at Rhys Blackwood: "Your Black Serpents are quite considerate, afraid we’d get poisoned following along."
Rhys Blackwood ignored him, directly slicing a piece of meat to roast on the fire. As it turned golden and crispy, he handed it to Luna Sutton.
Luna took the roasted meat and ate it in small bites, suddenly remembering she had three bottles of ability-enhancing potions in her system backpack.
These were rewards she received when Rhys Blackwood’s affection level reached 90, along with abilities like dream foresight, permanent immunity to snake venom, and a basic spell compendium.
She occasionally read the basic spell compendium but couldn’t learn anything beyond wood-related spells.
Since those required corresponding Spirit Root, she eventually tossed it into her backpack to gather dust.
But she could consume the three ability-enhancing potions to boost her strength in preparation for the upcoming battle.
She wasn’t intentionally saving them.
Instead, she was constantly harassed by several men every night, leaving no time for herself.
She was also busy during the day.
Then so many things happened that she simply forgot.
She only remembered now.
Finishing the piece of roasted meat in her hand quickly, she clapped her hands and found a convenient excuse to leave, swiftly heading for the lakeside.
She didn’t forget to tell the men not to follow her, warning that she’d be angry if they did.
Corbin Crowley, Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, and Mael Valerius pursed their lips.
They heard she was going to relieve herself, so they didn’t follow, continuing to sit around the campfire eating roasted meat and discussing how to set traps next.
The night was like ink, with moonlight fragmenting across the lake surface.
Luna Sutton crouched behind the reeds, sneakily taking out two vials glowing green.
"System, if I drink these now, will I explode?"
She shook the test tube in her hand, the liquid inside shimmering with her movement.
The system’s lazy voice sounded in her mind: "Wood Element Ability and Wood Spirit Root are essentially plant energy, at most expelling deep impurities, making your body stink."
Luna: "..."
Rolling her eyes, she tilted her head back and drank the potion.
The moment the liquid slid down her throat, her Dantian ignited with a sudden heat.
The dormant Spiritual Energy in her meridians burst forth like wildfire, rushing madly towards her limbs.
Enduring the pain, she swiftly sat cross-legged, closed her eyes, and began circulating her cultivation technique.
Suddenly, the wild grass around her grew crazily, vines burst out uncontrollably from her palms, wrapping up her arms and blossoming small white flowers.
In the distance, the sound of wolf pups playing reached her ears, clenching her lips to remain silent, channeling her rampant Spiritual Energy into her Dantian to refine for her own use.
Her Dantian’s Spiritual Energy circulated faster, accumulating more until it finally hit a critical point and exploded—
Peak of Qi Refining Seventh Layer!
When she opened her eyes, the world looked entirely different.
She could see the veins of leaves hundreds of meters away, hear the movement of fish tails in the lake’s depths.
Most magical of all, an aura of faint green light seemed to emanate from the nearby Priest, evidently...
"Qi Cultivation Eighth Level?"
She blurted out.
She had been unable to discern his cultivation level before, but now it was clear at a glance.
The Old Priest was squatting by distant tree roots, startled by her voice and hurriedly turning around, seeing Luna Sutton hiding in the reeds, although her figure was indistinctly visible.
"Girl, not sleeping at midnight, peeking at an old man?"
Luna’s lips twitched, but her gaze clung to the flowing Spiritual Energy around him.
No wonder this old wizard’s divinations were never wrong; he was actually a hidden Cultivator.
Just about to speak.
The Priest suddenly covered his nose and bounced away: "Why is it so smelly? You must be hiding to relieve yourself in the reeds!"
"Stinky old man, you’re the one relieving yourself."
Instinctively she cursed back, looking down in shock at her arm smeared with black grime, smelling intensely foul.
No wonder he said it stank; it was the toxins expelled from her body.
Feeling somewhat embarrassed, she hastily pushed through the reeds, "Splash," jumping directly into the lake to wash.
The black impurities quickly spread across the lake surface, causing several fish to float belly-up.
The Old Priest jumped even farther: "Wow! You girl are even more poisonous than the swamp toads!"
The cold lake water made Luna shiver as she scrubbed the sticky, slimy, black dirt from her arms.
Internally she couldn’t help but ponder; after several detoxifications, why was her body still so dirty?
As she was laboriously scrubbing, the old man’s voice suddenly rose several octaves: "Peak of Qi Refining Seventh Layer?"
The Old Priest rubbed his eyes, rubbed them again, seeing unmistakably that this girl’s cultivation was at the Peak of Qi Refining Seventh Layer.
He abruptly leaned closer to the lake, nearly fainting from the stench, quickly retreating again, his old face scrunched like a chrysanthemum: "Weren’t you Qi Cultivation Fourth Level in the daytime? How suddenly..."
Luna moved her wet hair back, soaking the night heron from the reeds away, her eyes drifting back to the Priest: "I’m just exceptionally gifted."
The Old Priest stared without speaking; that beast skin was a remnant scroll he picked up in his youth, only training himself to the eighth level.
This young girl actually...
"Wait!"
He focused on her: "Did you consume any Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures?"
"Yes, I did eat Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures."
Luna quickly admitted, directly pulling out the last vial of potion from her system backpack and tossing it to the shore: "Catch!"
This old man also had a Wood Element Spirit Root, but his talents weren’t as good, so the ability-enhancing potion could be consumed by him too.
The Old Priest frantically caught the glass vial, the green liquid luminescent like flowing jade under the moonlight, furrowing his brows: "What is this thing? I’ve never seen anything like it."
Hastily pulling out the wooden stopper.
An overwhelming vitality poured out, slightly squinting his old eyes, whiskers standing wildly, widening his eyes in shock: "This, this, this..."
He realized at once this was a treasure, the girl sharing so generously without knowing where it had come from.
"Drink it or not? If not, give it back."
Luna wringing out her hair, wrapping her damp beast skin skirt, stepping onto shore, feigned to snatch it back.
Startled, the old man downed it in one gulp.
As soon as the potion went down, his old face scrunched into a chrysanthemum, expression pained, the explosive energy within inflating his beast skin skirt.
With a cry, he leaped to the ground, sitting cross-legged, guiding and absorbing the potent medicinal power.
Luna watched with a smile: "The process is a bit painful, but being old and vigorous, you should be able to endure."
From the campsite came Malachi Arcanus’s voice: "Little Luna, are you done with your business? You might have fallen into the lake, if you don’t come back, I’ll fish you out!"
Luna quickly responded: "Coming, coming."
She glanced back at the old Priest engulfed in green light, his face twisted in agony, yet stubbornly silent.
Suppressing laughter, she ran to the camp, the wet beast skin skirt clinging to her, the night breeze chilling her with shivering.
Returning to the campfire, Malachi Arcanus looked at her, raising an eyebrow: "Why are you so wet? Did you wash your ass or fall into the lake?"
Rhys Blackwood gently frowned, quickly ushering her into the shelter: "Hurry in and change, don’t catch cold."
She glanced at Rhys but said nothing, entering the shelter to change her beast skin skirt, using Spiritual Energy to dry her damp hair.
