The Wicked Female Is Wild and Scheming, Living in a Love Battlefield Every Day-Chapter 27: Good Dogs Don’t Block the Way
Mia saw her being ignored and her face turned ugly as she quickly walked over to stop her, angrily saying, "I’m talking to you, didn’t you hear me?"
Luna stopped in her tracks and looked at Mia, who was slightly angry, with a peculiar expression.
Speaking of it, Mia was her half-sister.
Her sister Maya was as well.
Yet, despite any blood relation, it didn’t affect her dislike for this female, Mia.
She had instigated trouble time and time again; it’s no wonder she didn’t like her.
She looked at Mia coldly and said, "A good dog doesn’t block the way, move aside."
Mia hesitated slightly; she was a female wolf, not a mongrel.
Thinking of how the mongrel tribe had a terrible reputation, robbing and committing all sorts of misdeeds, even beasts fought them; her face instantly turned livid.
Pointing at her, she angrily said, "You ugly freak, dare to curse me as a mongrel?"
Luna thought to herself speechlessly; she had said a good dog doesn’t block the way, not specifically calling Mia a mongrel.
But considering that a mongrel is also a dog, the meaning was almost the same, she sneered, "I am cursing you. If you don’t want to be called a dog, then get lost."
She tolerated a few male protagonists because they were part of her mission objective; for likability, she endured.
But what was Mia to her?
Did Mia really think she could easily bully her?
Mia, having never been insulted like this, was instantly enraged and raised her hand to slap Luna’s face, "You cheap female, how dare you curse me, see if I don’t break your mouth..."
She wasn’t afraid of retribution from the leader, since Matron Quinn would protect her.
Although she couldn’t openly call Quinn Matron, she still called her that privately.
Seeing the slap coming, Luna smirked coldly.
Before the slap landed, the vine in her palm shot out instantly.
Using force with her hand, she swung Mia off completely, causing her to land painfully on the ground nearby, grimacing in pain and looking extremely embarrassed.
Despite her Wood Element Ability being only level 1, lacking in attack power, it was only ineffective against strong beasts. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Mia, being a fragile female, had no skill at all; knocking her away was a breeze.
All the beastmen present were shocked, their eyes focused on the vine growing from Luna’s palm.
Was this the power she awakened?
Looking at it, it was obviously the Wood Element, could be used like this?
Corbin Crowley was also surprised, looking at her, although knowing she had awakened powers, he hadn’t paid much attention.
Seeing her now use the vine to knock Mia away, his mouth twitched.
All he felt was that Mia deserved it.
Anyone with eyes could see Mia made the first move, and being less skilled, getting knocked away was just desserts.
Rhys Blackwood, Kian Sterling, Zeke Veridian, Malachi Arcanus, and others had varied expressions, wondering what to think, just kept watching.
The females on the square were gloating, as Mia was the most beautiful female in the tribe, always the most arrogant, looking down on them. Now seeing her being dealt with by Luna, they were inwardly delighted.
Mia’s seven beast husbands were there, seeing their female knocked away, their expressions darkened greatly.
Soon, they rushed to help her, surrounding her with concern, saying, "Mia, are you okay?"
Among them, a handsome beastman stared angrily at Luna, saying coldly, "Luna, Mia was just joking with you; you actually used your power to knock her away. Wasn’t that excessive?"
Luna recognized this as Mia’s third beast husband, Wolf Fang.
She chuckled coldly and retorted, "If I hadn’t awakened any power, and that slap landed, would you speak up for me?"
Wolf Fang and Mia’s six beast husbands were taken aback, unable to respond.
They were all warriors of the tribe, naturally understanding the situation of having no power.
If Luna hadn’t awakened any power and Mia’s slap really had landed, they might just pretend not to have seen it.
Seeing them silent, Luna sneered again, "Since you wouldn’t speak up for me, then what right do you have to question me now? Mia hit me, and I can’t retaliate? How absurd."
"Well said."
Corbin Crowley suddenly stepped out, clapping his hands, a sneer at the corners of his mouth.
His gaze was icy when he looked at Mia’s seven beast husbands, filled with disdain and indifference.
Then his lips curled in mockery, saying, "Strength reigns supreme in the beast world; if you’re incapable and get hit, serves you right, how dare you blame others?"
Though he detested Luna, as she was nominally his partner, he could bully her himself but wouldn’t tolerate others doing so and disgracing him.
Mia’s seven beast husbands found their faces turning red from shame yet couldn’t argue.
Because what Corbin said was true.
Luna was surprised to see Corbin suddenly step out and defend her.
Suddenly finding the jerk attractive; what’s going on?
But then she remembered the extent of his disgust toward her and her expression turned dark.
Feeling she had overthought.
Mia watched Corbin defending Luna, driven jealous to madness, her eyes red.
She liked Corbin, everyone in the tribe knew, even Corbin himself knew, yet he still came out to defend Luna.
What was so good about that ugly freak?
Didn’t he also despise that ugly freak?
Was it just because Luna was his female that he would defend her?
Mia grew more jealous, her face twisted with envy, her heart filled with malicious thoughts.
Luna, I’ll never let you off.
Just you wait.
Corbin caught Mia’s twisted, jealous face and frowned, his eyes filled with contempt.
Such a waste of a beautiful face.
Then his gaze fell on Luna’s face, his silver eyes watching her deeply.
Luna found his gaze inexplicably alarming; what did the jerk want? Was he planning to deal with her for disgracing him?
With this thought, she became vigilant, her expression wary, watching him intently.
Corbin, watching her vigilant glare, felt his expression darken, temples throbbing with anger.
What did this fat woman mean, afraid he’d lash out at her?
He pressed his lips tightly, an icy expression, glanced deeply at her, in the end, said nothing and turned away.
She watched his departing figure, curled her lips, unable to figure out his intentions.
But she could confirm one thing: his earlier disdain for her seemed to have lessened.
Could it be that he enjoyed the abuse?
She withdrew her power, her expression thoughtful.
Mia’s seven beast husbands felt relieved secretly seeing Corbin leave and began persuading Mia to go back.
Mia glared at them with a livid face, ultimately saying nothing, turning to leave.
Fearing if she stayed any longer, she might not hold back from wanting to tear Luna apart, which would only make Corbin dislike her more.
Maya sat among the crowd, watching Mia’s retreating figure with ridicule.
Her proud and arrogant sister had such a day of embarrassment; what a pleasure.
Growing up in Mia’s shadow, always compared unfavorably just because she wasn’t as pretty as sister Mia.
Though she was also quite comely, she was made out to be the ugly duckling.
Even Matron Quinn treated her less well compared to Mia.
Maya also knew she was Quinn’s daughter, but being the product of an affair, she couldn’t call Quinn Matron openly, only privately.
Luna, uninterested in the varied expressions of those present, was about to take the bones and innards back.
Thinking she had no salt and the stove not set up yet, she turned her steps toward Kian Sterling.
Kian Sterling saw her suddenly approach, his expression plainly looking at her, "What’s up?"
