Chapter 61: Dangerous

Princess Eleanor looked at the entrance when she heard the footsteps coming her way. By the weight of the footsteps, she knew who was coming her way. The man she was waiting for.

Soon Sir Kit entered the tent as his eyes narrowed at the Princess. "You asked for me,"

Nia was the one who walked toward Sir Kit as she handed him the letter that she wanted to give to Duke Felix.

Sir Kit looked down at the letter and with a smile took hold of the letter without any words. He knew that giving a reply was a confirmation from Princess Eleanor’s lady in waiting that she will give the vial of perfume to him soon.

"Did you call me here for this?" Sir Kit said but in an annoyed tone.

"It was one of the reasons." Princess Eleanor said as she said in a low tone. Sir Kit could not help but look at the Princess. She was wearing thin clothes. Although he could not see it clearly as the light in the tent was low, but the image of when Princess Eleanor had wetted her clothes was still prominent.

"Princess?" Sir Kit said but before he could say anything he saw Nia bow as she moved out of the tent.

Sir Kit was confused. Why would Princess Eleanor send Nia away? Wasn’t she afraid of the rumors going around?

"I want to talk with you. Can Sir Kit send the knights away?" Princess Eleanor said in a small voice. Her tone was soft but she was serious.

"That will be difficult." Sir Kit said in a small tone. He could feel that the Princess wanted to do something. But he was afraid of the results. What if things turn difficult.

"I think Sir Kit could know that I am not here to talk nonsense. Do you really think I am afraid of the rumors? I can just do the sinful thing here and say that I am impure." Princess Eleanor said with a smile. Her eyes were twinkling as she continued, "To avoid such unnecessary things, Sir Kit should understand the importance of the matter and send the knights away."

Sir Kit was silent. His eyes narrowed but he could tell that something was bothering the Princess. He sighed, "I will be back soon."

Sir Kit knew that the knights cannot go against him. It was a matter of a few words and the knights moved a few distances away. There were all the loyal knights of the Beaumont and they will not go against his will. This can be one of their little secrets that will go to their grave.

"They are gone," Sir Kit said as he walked back into the tent but then he saw Princess Eleanor sitting on the bed in a relaxed manager as if she was not expecting him at all. His eyes widened as he looked away,

"Please come here." Princess Eleanor said as if she was not bothered at all. Her eyes looked at her side indicating Sir Kit to follow her words.

Sir Kit swallowed hard as he took a deep breath. Maybe because of the dim light his other senses amplified. Sir Kit felt like he could even feel Princess Eleanor’s breaths.

Sir Kit closed his eyes before he opened them again. He was now in control of his emotions but why was his heart beating faster? He could not understand the unusual feeling he was experiencing but Sir Kit’s walk did not stop.

Sir Kit took the chair as he moved it towards Princess’s bed. He sat there as he waited for the Princess to talk.

"I heard there was a commotion outside? Some other Princess was also attacked?" Princess Eleanor asked in a small tone.

"Yes, but the matter was solved." Sir Kit explained in a dull tone.

"Yes, I understood that. But tell me did you find the culprit?" Princess Eleanor said with a smile.

Sir Kit felt like Princess Eleanor had eased up near him. She was not on guard like she used to be and now it felt like they were a little closer. Princess Eleanor was comfortable giving him the orders. It was a rare thing for them to tackle orders from anyone but Sir Kit did not mind.

He felt like if it was princess Eleanor he might not mind it because she always has something brewing in her mind. It was quite new and interesting to him.

"Not yet. But we are searching." Sir Kit said in a stiff tone.

"Can Sir Kit do something for me?" Princess Eleanor moved a little. Her body leaned near Sir Kit as she smiled innocently. Her fingers touching Sir Kit’s hand, "I can only trust you with this. You can find it for me, right?"

Sir Kit’s eyes sharpened. He understood what Princess Eleanor was trying to do. She was not talking nonsense when she said that she would shout about her being impure. She was trying to seduce him into giving up the resistance and following her.

Sir Kit had experienced this a lot. He was not a naïve knight who was new to getting pulled into such a method. Sir Kit was beyond it all. Or it was what he thought was true. But now he had no confidence in himself.

’This is dangerous,’ Sir Kit thought but his body reacted before he could understand what was happening. He held Princess Eleanor’s hand in his as his body leaned forward.

"Is Princess sure about this?" Sir Kit said in a dangerously low tone.

Princess Eleanor was silent as her eyes widened. She bit her lips as her breath hitched. She never felt like Sir Kit would do something like this. He was always there to surprise her.

Princess Eleanor’s heart was beating faster. She looked into Sir Kit’s eyes only to find that his expression was serious as if he was not ready to joke. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Princess Eleanor was not sure if she should continue on this path. She knew that it might get out of hand.
