The Villain’s Mother-Chapter 17: Song Tingshen: "..." (2)
Chapter 17 – Song Tingshen: “…” (2)
Ruan Xia obviously wasn’t at the same high level as the novel’s Ruan Xia. But, at least Song Tingshen didn’t seem exasperated with her causing a fuss. This meant that her actions were still within the scope of what he was willing to tolerate.
Ruan Xia’s tone improved as she said continued, “It’s not a big deal if I can’t adapt to saying here. But, can’t you see that Little Wang is also unused to this place? Let’s go back tomorrow. Home is definitely more comfortable than living at a hotel.”
She thought it over, then she said to Assistant Chen, “You don’t need to change the plane ticket. I’ll book the tickets. Assistant Chen, you can go do your own stuff. You don’t need to worry about us.”
Assistant Chen:“……”
His boss still hadn’t said anything.
Ruan Xia naturally had her own considerations. For the readers, this had only been a novel. But now that she had transmigrated here, this was her reality. If Assistant Chen left Song Tingshen’s side, his chance at getting into a car accident by himself would probably be miniscule.
“Oh yeah, Assistant Chen, I watched the weather forecast. It’s going to rain heavily starting tomorrow evening. If you’re going to leave, you should go ahead. Otherwise, the plane might be delayed.”
Assistant Chen blankly nodded. Although he felt Mrs. Song behaved strangely, she still seemed like a good person.
Song Tingshen didn’t know what Ruan Xia was up to, but in front of outsiders, he wouldn’t do anything that would cause her to lose face. And so, he said to his assistant, “Assistant Chen, you don’t need to be concerned about us. You can have the rest of the week off and go back later.”
Assistant Chen assented. He felt that happiness had come too quickly.
His girlfriend lived in City A, and this was his first time traveling here for work. Of course, he would want to stay here longer.
Song Tingshen didn’t have opinions about going back tomorrow, and neither did the chubby kid. And so, Ruan Xia took on the task of booking the tickets. Song Tingshen didn’t question her why she wanted to book their plane tickets herself. Anyways, it was just booking plane tickets. She should be able to do it.

Later that night, as she lay on the big bed, Ruan Xia was no longer interested in enjoying the night scenery.
A few minutes earlier, right after the chubby kid had gotten a bath, Song Tingshen brought him over. The chubby kid was only wearing a pair of underwear as he and his dad stood in the hallway.
Song Tingshen cautioned Ruan Xia, “He’s feeling hot from his bath. Make sure he puts on a top before going to bed. His stomach has to be covered so he doesn’t catch a cold. Don’t set the AC at a temperature that’s too low either.”
Before Ruan Xia could speak, the chubby kid had whizzed past her and gotten onto the big bed. He happily jumped on the big bed like it was a trampoline.
Ruan Xia sighed; this was the most that Song Tingshen had said to her so far.
