The Villain's Little Cat-Chapter 305 - Mutated Plants
305 Mutated Plants
When they reached City C, Dylan was escorted to White Family Residence while the rest chose to stay behind. Anyway, they knew that Dylan would help with some important matters in regards to White Family defense.
Even in this changed world, the technology still didn’t lose its function and still play prominent role.
“Let’s see the field. Even if we can’t enter, we should be able to take a look of it from a distance, right?” Lotte suggested.
“Good idea.” Jake was also curious.
“Can we even know what changed without them telling us?” Lucy was skeptical. In her opinion, they would need others to explain about the changes that occurred for them to truly understood.
“We can try.”
“Yep, it will be interesting.” Marc also nodded in agreement. He was getting bored with the time he spent in City E. Being able to see new things naturally interest him greatly.
“Wang! Wang!” <I also want to see!>
As they walked, Kate was also looking in the direction of the field with a strange gaze. She felt strange white dots fluctuation from that direction. This made her wonder what kind of mutation happened on the field.
.....
The giant mutated animals were different. It was definitely not humans either because the shape was different.
So Kate was confused.
When they got close, they were stupefied to see the large cocoa plant in the middle with many other cocoa plants around it.
“Are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Jake asked, his voice contained astonishment and disbelief.
“Yes, I see it.” Lotte looked at the giant mutated cocoa plants in front of her and took a deep breath.
They thought that the third red rain wouldn’t affect them so much because these giant mutated animals only got stronger slightly. There were no other species that turned into awakened nor any strange giant mutated animals.
But now, they felt that they had thought too simply.
Of course, these giant mutated animals didn’t change.
Because the one that experienced mutation was the plants. Now, there will be another creature that they might need to face named giant mutated plants.
“…I really wish that the third red rain didn’t happen now.” Marc clutched his chest in pain. He had reached rank 6 thanks to the third red rain, but thinking about how to deal with these plants in the future…
He felt that the future was really bleak.
Giant mutated plants will be very different from giant mutated animals because of their location. Giant mutated plants would exist depending on their geography while giant mutated animals could move around because they were mobile.
But all in all, they were troublesome to deal with.
At this time, Marc felt that there might be some areas that would be marked as red zone in the future thanks to these giant mutated animals and giant mutated plants.
“The mutated giant plants might not be so hostile towards humans as those giant mutated animals,” Kate remarked. She watched the giant mutated cocoa plant in front of her and it didn’t give her the same feeling as those giant mutated animals.
Those giant mutated animals were attacking based on instinct no matter who it was. It was to the point that they would not hesitate to kill their own kind in their instinct to grow stronger.
But these plants were more peaceful.
They didn’t take the initiative to attack anyone and instead seemed to coexist peacefully with the human beings.
At the same time, she was analyzing these white dots. Previously, she couldn’t see any plant’s white dots. Not that they didn’t exist, but it might be for herself so that she wouldn’t be overwhelmed.
If both giant mutated animals and normal plants were to be filled with white dots, how should she differentiate them?
Kate knew very well that she couldn’t.
Instead, she would feel tremendous headache because everywhere she looked would be filled with both white and black color. She would never be able to see the world in the same way as she used to be, which would be very troublesome.
Now that some of these plants had mutated, she could see their white dots better.
Perhaps, she could control what she sees?
Kate was somewhat intrigued by this conjecture but she didn’t want to try it here. It would be strange if she didn’t listen to the others and fell into deep though in the middle of the road.
“Really?” Lotte asked curiously.
“At least, this one didn’t seem to be hostile.” Kate shrugged. “I don’t know about the other giant mutated plants, though.”
“Then I guess humans’ development in the future would not be separated from these new mutated plants.”
Everyone looked at the giant mutated cocoa plant in the middle.
At this moment, they realized very deeply that even if they worked hard to eliminate all of these giant mutated animals, their world could never be the same anymore. The changes that had been brought by those red rain will exist for an extremely long time.
They might need to adapt to this change in humans’ ability and how to use them in their daily life.
The so called hope for things to go back to how it used to be had long gone.
It was impossible.
They just had to adapt to this new changes and the way of life for the next few years until order returned. And how the world shaped in the future would depend on these awakened who held the strongest power.
Because their abilities alone were more than enough to destroy a city.
If they were to disagree with the rules and law that was made, it was estimated that a big battle that could change the landscape could happen.
It would be disastrous.
Even if no one said it at this moment, they had known it in their heart and silently looked at the row of these giant cocoa plants in front of them. Everyone had mixed feelings but neither one of them spoke it out.
