The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 73: Seraphina Caldwell Has Been Taken Away
Silas Shaw stared at her for a long time, scrutinizing her expression carefully.
After a while, he suddenly grinned.
"Alright, since you want to say goodbye, I’ll take you to see the Clan Leader. Just as well, I should report the situation."
The group quickly packed their luggage and then silently followed Silas Shaw, heading deeper into the tribe.
Isaac Vaughn was closely beside Seraphina Caldwell.
His eyes constantly locked onto Silas Shaw in front, not daring to relax for a moment.
Wyatt Yardley and Evan Orwell protected Seraphina Caldwell from both sides.
Along the way, no one spoke.
In the blink of an eye, the group arrived at the cave where the Clan Leader lived.
The entrance was half-covered by massive rocks, with dangling vines and stone pillars carved with totems on both sides.
From deep within the cave, the Clan Leader’s low and intermittent voice was faintly heard.
Isaac Vaughn stood a few steps away, quietly observing everything.
He looked down at the sleeping Seraphina Caldwell in his arms.
Just as Seraphina Caldwell slowly awakened and raised her hand to touch the curtain, a sudden change occurred!
Originally curled up in the corner, Silas Shaw suddenly tensed all his muscles, with hair standing on end.
With a deep growl, he instantaneously transformed into a massive beast—a giant eagle completely ablaze with fiery red feathers!
Those wings that covered the sky suddenly unfurled!
Before the guards could react, Silas Shaw pounced like a thunderbolt!
With precise accuracy, one of his forelimbs grabbed Seraphina Caldwell’s slender arm.
Seraphina Caldwell had not even uttered a scream before she was lifted into the air.
Silas Shaw’s wings suddenly flapped, forcing the two guards to stagger backward, unable to block effectively with their Long Spears.
The next moment, he was already flying swiftly through the dusky sky, heading toward the deep mountains behind the tribe with Seraphina Caldwell.
At the moment when Silas Shaw flew into the sky with Seraphina Caldwell, Evan Orwell didn’t hesitate for a second.
Only one thought filled his mind—catch up!
The power of blood within him exploded, his body shook intensely, and dense scales rapidly surfaced on his skin.
In a blink, his body had transformed into an enormous beast.
The wings suddenly spread wide, ten yards in width, with sharp edges stirring up a violent air current.
As his wings unfurled, the strong wind pressure bent all the surrounding trees and grass.
The next moment, he took flight, darting toward the rapidly receding shadow like a shot arrow.
Wind howled beside his ears, and the outline of the retreating forest swept beneath his feet.
Even so, he felt a sense of helpless urgency.
The shadow ahead was moving too fast!
But Silas Shaw was a Peregrine, naturally one of the most agile hunters in the sky.
With each flap of his wings, a sharp sonic boom echoed.
Where the wind swept by, it was like an invisible blade cutting through.
In the blink of an eye, Silas Shaw’s figure had shrunk into an almost invisible dot in the high sky.
Soon it blurred into a shadow and disappeared at the edge of the thick clouds.
Evan Orwell looked up and stared resolutely, but could only watch as the target vanished entirely from view.
Yet he did not stop or give up.
Suppressing the anger surging in his chest, he spiraled upward, flying round after round around the vast forest.
His eyes were sore and swollen from staring for so long, and tears were scattered by the wind into the air.
Wyatt Yardley stood in place, fists clenched tightly.
His eyes were bloodshot, almost dark.
The flames burned not only against Silas Shaw but also scorched his own reason.
He understood that Seraphina Caldwell was not only someone they jointly guarded but was an irreplaceable soul in their squad.
Isaac Vaughn, seeing the situation, suddenly reached out and grabbed Wyatt Yardley’s arm with a force almost enough to crush the bone.
"Don’t chase! You can’t catch up! Silas Shaw’s speed is unmatched by us! The important thing now is to look for clues!"
"We must go to the Clan Leader! Silas Shaw belongs to the Eagle Clan, he’s their strongest warrior, the Clan Leader surely knows where he usually hides or which direction he might flee!"
Wyatt Yardley quickly turned around, his chest heaving violently, eyes filled with blood threads.
He didn’t say anything, just gritted his teeth fiercely.
Then, with Gideon Larkin and Kaelan Hawthorne, he turned to leave, each step heavy, causing a muffled sound as they stepped on the ground.
The three of them moved swiftly like the wind through forest paths straight towards the cave where the Eagle Clan Leader resided.
Two Eagle Clan men, seeing them come with an imposing momentum, instinctively raised their hands to obstruct, shouting, "Stop! The Clan Leader is in seclusion, discussing matters, no one is allowed to."
Before the sentence was finished, Wyatt Yardley’s bloodshot eyes swept over coldly.
That gaze carried intense killing intent and determination, frightening the two guards, causing their legs to weaken uncontrollably, knees bending, retreating to the sides instinctively.
The inside of the cave was deep and silent.
The air was filled with the scent of aged medicine and the dampness of rocks.
The Clan Leader was sitting on a large, polished stone bench, hands resting on his knees, eyes closed, meditating.
He radiated an aura that was calm and magnificent—distinctive of the Blue Rank.
His mere presence filled the entire space with an overwhelming, suffocating pressure.
Suddenly, a flurry of rapid footsteps shattered the quiet.
Followed closely by four figures storming in like a tempest.
The Clan Leader furrowed his brows slightly, slowly opening his eyes, gaze stern.
"Who permitted you to enter?"
Wyatt Yardley no longer cared about etiquette or rules.
He stepped forward, the soles of his shoes scraping against the stone, producing a piercing sound.
"Clan Leader! Seraphina Caldwell... Seraphina Caldwell was taken by Silas Shaw! Just earlier, right before us, he forcibly abducted her and took off into the sky!"
"What?!"
The Clan Leader abruptly stood up from the stone bench.
The usual calm on his face shattered instantaneously, unable to conceal his shock.
"Silas Shaw? You said... Silas Shaw? He would abduct a female? Impossible!"
His voice suddenly heightened.
"He’s always been composed and disciplined, adhering to clan rules, hardly involved in disputes with other males, how could he do something so against the law? Did you all misjudge? See the wrong person?"
Wyatt Yardley exploded directly.
He pressed half a step forward, veins bulging on his forehead, shouting word by word: "Mistake? The four of us witnessed! We clearly saw him lift Seraphina Caldwell into the air! Would we, four males, have nothing better to do and lie jointly to tarnish the Eagle Clan’s reputation? Do you think we’re that bored?"
Isaac Vaughn stepped forward, his strides steady.
"Seraphina Caldwell is one of ours. She’s not only the core of our squad but someone we swore to protect. If she suffers even a single hair loss, or even a minor wound... we’d overturn this sky and flatten this mountain, forcing the Eagle Clan to pay a hundredfold. This is not a threat but a promise."
The Clan Leader fell silent.
He swept his gaze over each of them.
There was no bluffing, no impulsive anger, only a deep-rooted panic.
This matter was likely genuine.
Yet... he couldn’t understand.
Who is Silas Shaw?
He’s the rarest genius in the Eagle Clan in a hundred years.
The best in combat in the whole clan, composed, extraordinarily gifted, a confirmed candidate for the next Clan Leader.
