The Villainess Wants a Divorce:Beast Husbands Regret It to Tears-Chapter 154: She Saved Him
Gideon Larkin and the others are out of danger now, and they only need a few days of quiet recuperation to recover.
But Isaac Vaughn’s situation is different.
He is the most powerful male warrior in the tribe, with a naturally strong physique and spiritual power reaching Level Nine.
If such a male enters his estrus phase without being calmed, he can easily go berserk, harming others and himself. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
His breathing is very steady, and there’s a faint blush on his cheeks.
This is usually a sign of recovery, but on a male in estrus, it’s a dangerous signal.
Normally, a male during estrus would have elevated body temperature, restless emotions, and extremely sensitive senses.
Though Isaac Vaughn is unconscious at the moment, the redness on his cheeks persists.
This is his body craving comfort, an instinctive call.
Her heart tightened.
Isaac Vaughn’s estrus isn’t over, and nobody has comforted him these past few days.
The wounds are healed, but if this issue isn’t solved...
If estrus is not relieved, a male’s mind gets consumed by desire, turning him into a beast that only acts on instinct.
By then, he might attack anyone, even former comrades.
She didn’t hesitate much, immediately moving closer to Isaac Vaughn, pushing aside his arm gently and snuggling into his embrace.
This is the safest method for now.
Though she lacks spiritual power, her body fragrance is mild, and she is the most suitable comforter.
She closed her eyes, deciding to sleep holding him tonight.
This night may be arduous, but she isn’t afraid.
As long as everyone is safe, she would do anything.
This scene suddenly hit Kaelan Hawthorne’s eyes.
He stood there, his steps frozen.
Seraphina Caldwell had thrown herself into another’s arms without hesitation, while he, not even eligible to approach.
Originally, he had reached out to hold Seraphina and move her to a pile of dry grass nearby.
Over there, it’s farther from the draught, warmer.
The dry grass was gathered by his own hands, even deliberately laid out in the sun.
He thought this might make her a little more comfortable, let her stay by him a while longer.
But before he could even touch Seraphina, he saw her burrow into Isaac Vaughn’s embrace.
She didn’t even avoid the bloodstains on him.
Those bloodstains came from the wounds he received protecting her.
But she didn’t spare a glance, didn’t even frown.
He stared at Seraphina’s back curled up in Isaac Vaughn’s embrace, remembering the last time he tried to approach, how she avoided him.
Back then, he just wanted to help her sit down, but she stepped back before his fingers even touched her wrist.
Towards Isaac Vaughn, she had complete trust.
The trust Kaelan Hawthorne had never had.
Towards him, there was only evasion and rejection.
Kaelan’s fist clenched quietly, his face turning pale, but he didn’t move another step.
If he stepped forward now, it would only make her resist more.
So, he walked to the cave’s entrance, pulling the beast skin curtain down a bit more.
He stood there, but his eyes never left her back.
Kaelan Hawthorne really wanted to slap himself.
The self that left her alone to battle the beast deserved to be torn apart.
If he hadn’t recklessly pursued that injured Snow Wolf, Seraphina wouldn’t have faced the beast, wouldn’t have nearly gotten into trouble.
Now that Seraphina had rescued several Beast Husbands, surrounded by others, she wouldn’t even glance in his direction...
What should he do so as not to be driven out?
This question gnaws at his heart day and night.
Isaac Vaughn woke up in the middle of the night; as soon as his eyelids moved, he felt the soft warmth in his arms.
He then slowly opened his eyes, discovering Seraphina Caldwell nestled in the crook of his arm, occasionally rubbing against his chest.
He immediately held his breath, looking down at his own arm.
The deep wound he had during the day that exposed the bone, now didn’t hurt at all.
Herbs covered it, and the blood had dried.
He remembered how deep that wound was, the flesh rolling back.
Logically, such a wound would need several days of lying down.
But now, the wound had already scabbed, and the flesh had healed.
The new skin was slightly red, the edges beginning to peel off the scab.
This speed was far beyond reason.
He was shocked to his core.
The smaller wounds on his body were untouched.
Ointment was applied only to the deepest wound, nowhere else.
This wasn’t a coincidence.
His heart trembled, suddenly recalling that night, the cool touch of Seraphina’s fingertips when she secretly applied medicine to him.
That night, in truth, he hadn’t fallen asleep.
She had approached carefully and gently applied it to his wound.
Not long after applying the ointment, the pain began to fade away.
He had thought the medicine was highly effective, only now realizing.
It wasn’t just herbs used, but her own power as well.
The severe wounds on him, there was no guessing needed, it was her who quietly healed them.
And he had been kept in the dark until tonight when he discovered it.
Isaac Vaughn gently touched her hair’s top.
This time, it was she who saved him.
"If you’re awake, come out."
Isaac Vaughn turned his head, looking towards the outside of the cave.
He saw Wyatt Yardley leaning against a tree trunk, glancing over at him, then looked inside the cave again.
Isaac Vaughn lowered himself gently, carefully moving Seraphina Caldwell’s head off the cold stone surface.
He then reached out for a clean piece of beast skin, gently pulling it over to cover her waist and abdomen.
Watching Seraphina unconsciously turn over without waking up, he finally breathed a little easier, stepping quietly outside.
Outside the cave was a clearing.
Gideon Larkin was sitting on a stone, rubbing another arm with a blue and purple tint.
Aidan Sullivan leaned against a large stone not far away, checking the wound on his leg.
Kaelan Hawthorne, however, stood in the farthest corner, back turned to the others, his gaze fixated on the cave entrance.
As soon as Wyatt Yardley saw Isaac Vaughn come out, he immediately spoke.
"Kaelan, how exactly did you all make it over here? How did you find the Elephant Clan? And why did The Beast King agree to step forward?"
Kaelan Hawthorne’s gaze flickered slightly.
He didn’t disclose everything, only selecting the parts he could share and speaking slowly.
"After the teleportation, we rushed towards The Beast Realm. Halfway there, scouts from the Eagle Clan caught up with us. We were forced to jump into a river, hiding behind rocks underwater to barely escape. Later, we rested a night in the city, replenishing some food and herbs. This morning, I directly brought The Beast King over."
"Initially, The Beast King wanted to help Silas Shaw, but Seraphina persuaded him."
Wyatt Yardley frowned slightly.
He knows Ian Brighton’s temperament too well.
That proud Beast King always stood only on the side of the strong.
With Silas Shaw being the next Clan Leader of the Eagle Clan, powerful and prestigious.
Logically, Ian Brighton had no reason to go against his stance and punish his own clan members.
But he didn’t pursue further.
Because he knew, Seraphina must have put in significant effort to make that stubborn Beast King change his mind.
To persuade Ian Brighton was not as simple as a few soft words.
"Are your injuries caused by Silas Shaw?"
Kaelan Hawthorne suddenly countered.
No sooner than the question came out, Gideon Larkin clenched his fist tightly.
"Who else! Those beasts didn’t just hit us, they smeared poisonous plant juice on the wounds, saying it was so we would ’suffer alive’! Moving even a bit felt like my whole arm was being scorched by fire!"
He was enraged, roughly rolling up his sleeve to reveal a claw mark deep enough to see bone.
"This, he did with his own hand! At that time, he even sneered, saying, ’Letting Seraphina go, you should prepare to die!’"
He trembled with anger.
If Aidan Sullivan hadn’t reached out in time to grab his shoulder and pull him back in place, he would have kicked the stone away in fury.
