The Villainess Redeems Herself, The Beast Husbands are in a Daily Love Battle-Chapter 15: So Precious
"Hayden, slow down, you’re flying so fast I’m getting dizzy."
Selene squinted her eyes, following Hayden Langdon’s figure in flight, while she couldn’t help but support her slightly swelling belly.
A person and a butterfly, speaking entirely mismatched dialogues.
Selene looked up at the figure spiraling up and down in mid-air.
But the rapidly flipping Little Butterfly in the air seemed to completely misunderstand her plea.
Selene couldn’t afford to delay any longer.
Her face was pale, cold sweat streaming down.
Right now, stabilizing her state was of utmost importance.
Otherwise, not only would the fetus be in danger, but the special blessing from the system would also be wasted.
"Host, if you don’t receive treatment soon, the fetus may not survive. The resources previously awarded to you will also become invalid, and those pregnant women who shouldn’t have survived will revert to the normal death process."
A cold voice echoed in her mind.
Selene took a deep breath.
Even though her abdomen was vaguely aching, she forced herself to stand firm, her gaze tightening.
"Little Butterfly, come here for a moment."
She yelled at the little fellow fluttering endlessly in the sky.
Her small belly started a series of cramps, and although Selene had never given birth, she understood this feeling was very wrong.
The intense and recurring pain seemed to originate from deep within her womb.
She bit her lower lip tightly, daring not to act rashly.
Ethan Sinclair smirked and sarcastically said, "Do you think Hayden Langdon can understand what you’re saying? Even if he understood, he wouldn’t care at all."
He crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes full of disdain, his words dripping with mockery, "It’s just a butterfly without the ability to speak human language."
Before he finished speaking, his eyes suddenly widened.
Moments ago wearing a mocking smile, his expression became frozen.
Because he saw Hayden Langdon really swoosh down to Selene’s side.
Fanning his wings anxiously in front of her, looking worried.
The delicate butterfly shadow was circling urgently in the air, even lightly brushing against Selene’s nose.
"Female, what’s wrong? You look very uncomfortable."
The butterfly’s voice echoed from deep within her mind.
"If it were me, I couldn’t bear to see you in so much pain."
It circled Selene a few times, then gently perched on her shoulder.
"You know, I’m just a little butterfly who feels for females."
The soft whisper trickled into Selene’s consciousness.
Selene was nearly driven mad by his chatter.
She hadn’t expected that someone usually so quiet would become so loquacious after turning into a butterfly.
An endless stream of words issued from a small butterfly body.
Distracting her momentarily with this stark contrast.
Was it because he was usually too lazy to speak, and now every flap of his wing unleashed a torrent?
She thought with a bitter smile.
Using up the last bit of her spiritual power, Selene directly charged into Hayden Langdon’s sea of consciousness.
Since he didn’t resist, in an instant, a gentle calming power filled his body.
At that moment, the agitated thoughts were soothed.
"This feels so nice."
Hayden Langdon let out a satisfied purr, his wings gradually stopped flapping.
His whole body seemed to become soft and weak.
Under the calm, Hayden’s wings beat slower and slower, and drowsiness crept in.
His bright eyes slowly closed.
He finally collapsed to the ground and turned into a broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted male, holding his forehead, a handsome brow tightly furrowed.
"Did I pass out again?"
He lifted a hand to rub his forehead.
He remembered he was in the car, completely stunned.
The last scene in his mind was still him driving, and now he found himself in this strange space.
He looked around, utterly bewildered, unable to speak for a moment.
"Hayden!"
Selene’s sharp scream pierced the air.
Hayden Langdon’s body jolted violently.
Oh no, she’s mad again.
He instinctively frowned with a bitter smile, pondering what he had done wrong this time, sighing as he prepared to admit his mistake.
As soon as he opened his mouth, his eyes met Selene’s face, twisted with pain and pale as paper.
She held her slightly bulging belly with one hand and supported herself on the door frame with the other.
"I’m pregnant... Quick, call a doctor!"
Hayden’s mind was skeptical.
Yesterday she was still lively and spirited at the training ground, punching people as a pregnant woman?
But he knew, once Selene said something like that, it had to be done.
He always did whatever she said, with no mistakes or corrections allowed.
A few hours later, a dim light filled the private room in the top hospital of Aethelgard.
On the steps in front of the door knelt two young men, brothers Evan and Ethan Sinclair.
Their knees shackled heavily to the ground.
And what happened to Hayden Langdon was even more ridiculous; he had been directly shackled with heavy iron chains, his wrists and ankles bound.
A middle-aged Law Enforcement Officer stood with arms folded behind his back.
"You are suspected of willfully harming a female, seriously violating interstellar protection ordinances."
Evan could guess what had happened.
He remained calm amidst everyone’s panic and even held onto Ethan, who was starting to shiver slightly.
He tightly gripped his brother’s cold, trembling hand.
"It’ll be alright, this too shall pass."
As he said this, his eyes were tightly closed.
He had made up his mind.
Even if it came to prison, or facing the harshest punishment, he would never allow his brother to bear the guilt, absolutely not.
"Brother, I really didn’t know... I thought she was hurting Hayden... I was genuinely worried... I got impulsive... that’s why I took the Energy Rod... I didn’t mean to hurt anyone..."
Ethan said with red-rimmed eyes, his voice choking.
He appeared to be collapsing.
"Enough."
Evan suddenly opened his eyes and glared at him.
"Not another useless word, be quiet."
Meanwhile in another direction.
According to the report from the law enforcer, at that time, Hayden Langdon was carrying the pale-faced Selene Kane and burst into the hospital.
He hadn’t even waited for the security system to pass, and he was already rushing into the emergency area.
The whole scene was thrilling.
Witnesses claimed that blood continuously seeped from Selene’s lower body, staining an entire pant leg and hem red. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Below her legs were already full of bloodstains, a scene that was shocking to behold.
So he just handed her over to the doctor who’d rushed there.
A middle-aged male in a white gown immediately rushed over.
Without even looking at the examination report, or even touching Selene Kane.
Just seeing the startling bloodstains, he was already losing control of his emotions.
"Do you understand how important a female is?"
As he said this, he abruptly raised his fist.
"Boom—" he smashed it fiercely into the unguarded Hayden Langdon’s face.
Hayden Langdon steadfastly withstood that punch, producing a dull thud when the fist struck his chest.
His internal organs seemed to be overturned.
Since their relationship became muddled, she often used various tricks to provoke him.
Sometimes by pretending to be in danger, sometimes by feigning indifference.
But this time was different, she didn’t glare or accuse him, nor did she keep on sneering.
She was curled up on the ground, her face pale.
And the blood slowly seeping from between her legs pricked Hayden Langdon’s eyes sorely.
Perhaps she really was pregnant this time.
Even though he didn’t know if the child was of the Langdon or the Kane Family.
And the child itself, was so precious.
