The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 167: She Forgot Her Towel!
Abigail felt like she had just heard something wrong. After witnessing such a scene, all she wanted was to sleep nicely and forget about the events. But she also knew that she would probably cry upon missing Asher.
Why wouldn’t she cry? After all, he was also her love interest. Thus, she wasn’t really in a mood to have any romantic advances toward her husband. All she wanted was to have someone to comfort her at this point.
But what the heck was this man doing?! It was almost as if he had himself gained Asher’s tactics that would often make her blush day in and out.
He was actually pushing her to come out of the bathroom entirely naked!
She said through her gritted teeth, "Husband... I’m not wearing any clothes. Isn’t that why I’m asking you to give me some?"
"Sure." Nicholas sat back and continued typing on his laptop that was placed on his lap as if he hadn’t spoken so brazenly just now. "It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked."
Oh no. don’t you remind me of that incident!
Abigail gritted her teeth again and forced her heart to calm down, "You... Give me my clothes right now!"
"What if I don’t want to?"
"...."
Abigail had never been this speechless for a long time. She stared at the door dumbfounded as she took a deep breath. No worries. No need to get angry at such a small event. She could do this. She just had to pressure her husband and threaten him a bit to get her clothes.
"Dear husband... if you don’t give me my clothes right now, I’ll destroy this entire bathroom!"
"Then do it." Nicholas still continued to act like nothing happened as he glanced at the door and said with a serious expression on his face. "That’s your bathroom anyway."
"...."
Abigail’s brain finally snapped as she felt a trace of anger rising in her heart, reaching her face in an instant. "Nicholas Harrison! What the f*ck do you want with me?!"
Nicholas finally stopped typing as the corners of his lips ticked up. "You won’t believe me even if I told you."
The two of them remained silent as he started working as if he wasn’t the one saying those absurd words just now. Abigail finally realized that he wasn’t going to listen. She decided to compromise and said, "Well, then close your eyes."
"Okay."
Abigail looked at the door suspiciously and frowned.
He listened to her? He actually agreed?
Even if she was doubtful of his intentions, she still had no real choice with her. She still had to grit her teeth and walk out.
Thus, she finally turned over the knob and pushed open the door just like that. Of course, she didn’t come out but only poked her head from the door.
Sure enough, the man had closed his eyes for real.
This made her relieved a lot. She hurriedly opened the door and rushed to her wardrobe, wearing clothes one after another at a blinding pace.
However, she didn’t know that a certain someone who was supposed to remain on the bed obediently with his eyes closed had long opened his eyes and was staring deeply toward her as she wore clothes.
When Abigail was finally done, she turned around only to find the man staring at her with such an intense gaze. Her eyes widened slightly as traces of anger spiked up in her heart all over again.
"You... You promised!"
"I didn’t." Nicholas had somehow transformed into a brazen young man who liked teasing his wife too much, but his expression still remained cold and indifferent as if he had just been making a business deal. "I just said okay."
"...." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The number of times the man made her speechless was getting out of hand. She instantly took a deep breath as the corners of her lips twitched a bit.
"I want to sleep."
It was late night already, and they had eaten after getting out of the airport. Thus, Abigail just wanted to sneak inside the comfort of her blanket and sleep to her heart’s content. Probably by then the heaviness of her heart would disappear abruptly just like that.
"Okay." Nicholas scooted over and made a space for the woman to sleep. He even patted that space beside him and said with a straight face, "Go ahead."
"You..." Abigail wanted to ask where he was going to sleep, but she swallowed her words in the end. In any case, things shouldn’t change that much. Hadn’t she slept in the same bed with her husband? Sure, she had!
And she even knew that the man always preferred to build a wall made out of pillows between the two of them so that she wouldn’t end up in his arms. That’s why she wasn’t very much afraid that something might happen in her sleep.
She shrugged and walked over, laying on the bed without any hesitation. She didn’t bother keeping the pillows there because she knew very well that the man would himself do it. Who knows what Nicholas actually wanted with her.
Sometimes he treated her warmly, but another second, he would turn around and ignore her all day long. Abigail was honestly done with this kind of thing and only wanted to get out of this marriage right now.
Even if there wasn’t Asher around her to get married to, Abigail didn’t care as long as she got out. In any case, she felt that it was useless to waste any breath on a man like Nicholas who rarely shares his emotions with others.
She had tried, tried, and tried very hard to keep her marriage, but it was this young man who didn’t care for her. So what else could she do? She turned over, covered herself with her quilt, and closed her eyes.
Nicholas glanced at her from the corner of his eyes and sighed.
He now knew she had already decided on breaking off this marriage. Why wouldn’t she do it? He hadn’t given her any other option. The start of their marriage itself was wrong in the first place.
But that didn’t mean he would let her do whatever she wanted.
