The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 107: Asher Is Jealous
Even Abigail didn’t know why she was so keen on telling him everything. Back in her asylum, she would similarly tell every single thing, even the number of times she went to the bathroom to her doctor.
As they say, old habits die hard. Probably, that was the case with her.
On the other side, Owen made a thoughtful expression on his face and smiled. "Alright. I have to return to work, and I’m assuming you also have to go somewhere, right?"
"How did you know?!" Did Owen use some kind of magical wand or something that would help him find out everything going on in her life so accurately?!
"I just do." Owen didn’t think it was a big thing. He was a psychiatrist, after all. He could figure out things just by observing his patient’s emotions. Right now, Abigail seemed like she was in a hurry and spoke faster than usual, even blurting out such a response in a hurry, almost revealing her reality to him.
Was there any girl who was as stupid as Abigail?
Sure, Owen had already figured out the absurd truth about his patient’s reality, and at first, even he felt weird about coming up with such an idea. But what other choice did he have? The girl didn’t show a single trace of multiple personality disorder disease at all.
If there were a personality that vanished without a trace, Abigail wouldn’t remember that personality’s experience at all. But not only did she know everything about the previous Abigail of this world, she also knew things inaccurately.
Thus, Owen could only come to two conclusions: it was either that someone brainwashed Abigail, or she probably transmigrated from another world or something.
Of course, he hadn’t taken the second option seriously because, being a doctor, he had to be practical. But just now, when he read that novel, he realized that he nearly hit a bullseye by thinking of that reason.
So, she really transmigrated? How the f*ck was that possible?!
On the other hand, he strangely found that the world she described in her novel seemed a little familiar to him. He didn’t even know why.
Owen took a deep breath and tapped his finger on the table, saying, "Go back." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"Okay!" Abigail spoke joyfully.
At the same time, Asher, who was heading toward the kitchen, heard her joyful laughter and was stunned. He hid and looked in her direction only to find her on call. There was even a trace of blush creeping up her cheeks as she said, "I’ll talk to you tonight! Bye, Owen!"
Owen? A man?
Asher’s brows furrowed deeper as he pursed his lips and said, "Abigail, are you done?"
The young woman instantly hung up the call and contained her expression, saying, "No, give me five more minutes."
She was back to her cold and indifferent look as he glanced at him and returned to her dishes.
Asher was stunned seeing her expression as his brows furrowed deeper.
Just now... he heard her laugh like before, didn’t he? And that laughter came when she was talking to this Owen guy!
The question was, why didn’t she continue her indifferent act in front of that guy on the call? Why did Abigail have to ignore him and even Nicholas alone like that behind her cold disguise?!
No... it couldn’t be that there was another guy out there, right?
That thought itself made Asher feel anxious as he took a deep breath, asking, "Who was on the call?"
"My doctor," Abigail spoke the truth, but she didn’t know that this truth sounded more like a lie in the other’s heart.
Asher became even more anxious.
Do you really talk so happily with your doctor!? She was hiding that real information from him wasn’t she?!
The more he thought about it, the more he became anxious as he asked, "Can you give me his name?"
This time, Abigail’s hand paused as her brows furrowed.
It couldn’t be that Asher was jealous, right?
She giggled in her heart as she cleared her throat and said, "Why do you want his name?"
"Just casually." Asher shrugged, pretending to be cool about his absurd question.
Abigail pursed her lips.
She knew that once Asher knew her doctor’s full name, he would probably have Nicholas kick the man out. Then where else would she go for treatment?! Only Owen was the person in this entire world who could understand her without judging her like others.
Thus, she lied and said, "Owen Nick Thomas, my friend actually, but he’s also a doctor, a physiotherapist. I was thinking of going to him to stretch my body for a change when I return home."
After cooking up a lie like that, Abigail let out a breath of relief, continuing her dishes. When she was done, she finally washed her hands and turned around, saying, "Should we go? We are getting late."
Asher noted that name deep in his heart, not realizing that she lied to the man about it. He wanted to find the depths of that person and warn him not to call Abigail anymore. There were already two people fighting for her. He didn’t need an addition to that at all!
Thus, he nodded.
"Let’s go."
They reached the venue soon after that. Since it was the first day of the shoot, all the actors and actresses were called out to have a meet-up. The director aimed for the two of them to get to know one another for the sake of their film, which would take a few weeks to shoot.
Asher, since he was an investor, wasn’t going to be left behind and let go of this chance to stick close to Abigail.
Even he didn’t realize that day after another, his attraction and possessiveness toward this young woman were increasing multiple folds to the point he was even ready to resort to these small tricks to keep her by his side.
Of course, he still hadn’t forgotten that she was someone else’s wife, his cousin at that, but he considered it a temporary issue. Soon, she would be out of his clutches with his help.
Thus, a smile formed on his lips as he parked his car in the parking lot and got out, opening the door to the passenger seat.
On the side, a few actresses witnessed this scene and scoffed.
"Look at that. An investor’s boot licker. I hate women like this blondy."
