Chapter 140: Chapter 140: Ying Jiuyao’s Fury

Su An’an was almost bewitched by Fei Zhao. It took all her self-control to lift a hand and point toward the bathroom door.

"If you’re going to be so obedient, then hurry up and get out. I need to take a shower."

Her pink fox ears twitched slightly. She’d see if this clingy pest would try to pull something.

"As you command, Female Master!"

Fei Zhao’s gaze lingered on her collarbone for half a second before he reluctantly looked away.

His nine tails swayed behind him in a regretful arc, as if mourning the ultimate back-scrubbing technique he was unable to perform.

The bathroom door shut, blocking out the hot, humid steam. Su An’an leaned against the bathtub and let out a soft sigh of relief.

As the warm water from the showerhead washed over her shoulders, she suddenly remembered something important.

"Little Pink, what’s the situation with the Black Bull Tribe? Is Qiuqiu okay?"

"Don’t worry! Fei Zhao brought back everyone from the Black Bull Tribe! Qiuqiu is fine too. He’s fast asleep!"

Little Pink displayed a photo of a furball.

The mixed-blood cub was curled up like a glutinous rice ball, hugging its tail with a bit of drool still at the corner of its mouth.

The most heavily injured, the Big Black Bull Brave, and the other Cow Beasts were all being treated in the medical bay.

"That’s good."

She put on her bathrobe and walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair. Her eyes suddenly met Fei Zhao’s piercing gaze.

His knuckles were white where he gripped his communicator, and his next words were stunning.

"So you’re Jiu Su?"

Su An’an’s heart skipped a beat, and her entire body went rigid.

But she quickly recovered, continuing to dry her hair as she said nonchalantly,

"What are you talking about?"

A dark glint surged in Fei Zhao’s eyes as he tapped his communicator.

A holographic projection unfurled in mid-air.

At the very top, Jiu Su’s chat interface was clearly displayed.

The small green "Read" receipt was especially jarring.

"During a magnetic storm, communications can’t get through to the outside."

He stared intently at Su An’an, his voice dropping to a low, heavy tone.

"Unless the recipient is on the same local network as me."

Cold sweat prickled the back of Su An’an’s neck, and the Divine Pattern on her lower back began to burn faintly. She suddenly recalled the tragic fates of the "Divine Females" throughout history.

They were fought over by various factions, forced into the role of saviors, and made to bear cubs of different bloodlines. But because their children weren’t Divine Beasts, they were taken away for research.

’If I tell Fei Zhao the truth, will he become my protector, or my predator?’

Little Pink shrieked frantically in Su An’an’s mind:

"Your Highness, whatever you do, don’t admit it!"

"The bounty for Jiu Su on the dark web is almost a trillion Gold Coins."

"The moment you’re exposed, you’ll become the Divine Female that every Beastman in the Interstellar will be fighting crazily to possess."

’Right, I can’t admit it!’

’Some secrets must be taken to the grave.’

’She couldn’t afford to make that bet—to find out just how much beast was hidden beneath the man.’

Little Pink played a confetti-tossing sound effect in her mind:

"That’s the spirit! Your Highness shines brightest when you love yourself first. No matter how wonderful a Beast Husband is, you can never fully trust him."

"You’re responsible for your own safety! Never entrust your life to another beast!"

’Sorry, Fei Zhao!’

Su An’an deliberately put on a cold expression and tossed the hair towel in front of him.

"You’re saying I’m Jiu Su based on this?"

"I see. You’re still hung up on Jiu Su. Is that why you want to divorce me...?"

"That’s not it!"

The tip of Fei Zhao’s tail swept frantically across the floor. He snatched the towel and started dabbing at her wet hair.

"I was just worried about Master Jiu Su’s safety."

He intentionally stressed the word "Master."

"The Rebel Army captured you to lure her to Black Star. It would be dangerous if she came to Black Star too."

"Don’t worry. Master Jiu Su..."

Before Su An’an could finish, Little Pink exclaimed excitedly in her mind:

"Your Highness, the magnetic storm ended early! Night Abyss, Ying Jiuyao, and Lan Cangming have all come to Black Star to rescue you!"

At the same time, a series of shrill beeps erupted from Fei Zhao’s communicator.

The moment he glanced at the message, his handsome face darkened.

’These guys sure are fast.’

’My precious time alone with Anan is about to end.’

Su An’an, oblivious to the fox’s sour expression, said excitedly,

"That’s great! Help me get some clothes ready. I’m going to go greet them."

’Are you really that eager to throw yourself into another beast’s arms?’

Fei Zhao pressed his tongue against his back molars, the tip of his tail sweeping across the floor in an irritated arc.

But when she looked up at him, his eyes instantly curved into a smile, the red mole at the tip of his brow enchantingly vivid. "As you command!"

In the room, Fei Zhao chose a pink princess dress with a diamond tiara, earrings, and a necklace, and personally helped her put them all on.

He also chose a magenta velvet suit jacket for himself, paired with a white shirt and trousers.

It was a flamboyant color that only someone with his striking good looks could pull off.

Su An’an had just stepped into the main hall of the Wasted Female Institute, arm in arm with Fei Zhao.

Three figures tore through the air, arriving with a powerful gust of wind.

White Tiger Ying Jiuyao transformed into a silver streak of light, and in the blink of an eye, had gently pulled her into his embrace, his Tequila pheromones tightly enveloping her.

Night Abyss and Lan Cangming were half a step behind, surrounding her with concern.

Fei Zhao, on the other hand, silently retreated behind her, the tip of his tail lightly brushing against her skirt.

"Anan, are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?"

Heartache swirled in Ying Jiuyao’s Gilded Beast Eyes as he carefully inspected her body.

Night Abyss and Lan Cangming reached out to touch the tips of Su An’an’s hair, but Ying Jiuyao viciously slapped their arms away.

A low warning growl rumbled in the Big Cat’s throat, and angry, silver-white beast markings appeared on his handsome face.

"This is all your fault! If you hadn’t failed to protect her, how could Anan have been kidnapped?"

Night Abyss’s jaw tensed into a hard line, his nails digging fiercely into his palm. "I’m sorry. I was careless!"

Lan Cangming looked down, his long, silver-blue hair hiding his red-rimmed eyes. "I should have stayed by Anan’s side."

Su An’an looked at Night Abyss’s and Lan Cangming’s pale cheeks, dark circles under their eyes, and chapped lips.

She knew they must have been worried sick looking for her, and now they were being harshly berated by the Big Cat.

"Big Cat, don’t be like that!"

Su An’an leaned against Ying Jiuyao’s heaving chest, her palm pressing against the burning hot beast markings on his cheek.

"It’s not Lan Cangming and Night Abyss’s fault. The plot orchestrated by the Rebel Army was just too cunning."

"Who could have predicted a Mutated Beast Tide at the Imperial City’s Mad Beast Institute? They already did their best!"

"Failures are failures. There are no excuses."

Ying Jiuyao gritted his teeth, his beast eyes blazing with rage.

"If you weren’t completely unharmed, I would have killed them!"

"Alright, alright, don’t be angry."

Su An’an sighed and gently rubbed the Big Cat’s fluffy ears.

"If you keep being so fierce, your ears are going to puff up like dandelions."

Seeing his tail was still held rigidly straight, she simply reached out, hooked her arm around his neck, and brushed the tip of her nose against the tip of his ear.

"Smile for me. We haven’t seen each other in so long, didn’t you miss me?"

The Big Cat’s chest heaved violently, but he finally softened, pulling Su An’an into a tight embrace, his voice choked with emotion.

"When I found out you were missing, I nearly went crazy!"

"I know!"

Su An’an gently stroked his back until his muscles relaxed, then she said,

"Alright, White Tiger Marshal, put away your imposing air. Don’t let the other beasts laugh at you."

"Who would dare laugh at me."

The Big Cat wiped his tears on Su An’an’s shoulder, and when he looked up, he was once again the awe-inspiring White Tiger Marshal.

After placating the Big Cat, Su An’an finally turned her head to look at Night Abyss and Lan Cangming.
