The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 380 - 379: Vicious Sister
[What did Jeanette Kensington actually do? I have no idea. I think she’s a pretty nice person, so why do people dislike her so much? Are they just haters?]
[Jeanette Kensington used to bully her group members all the time in Hansea. One of her teammates was a better dancer, so she pushed her down a flight of stairs. The girl survived, but her leg was ruined. She had to leave the group not long after. Her future was so bright, and that venomous bitch destroyed it just like that. Jeanette Kensington ruined someone’s life, and because her family is rich, the whole thing got swept under the rug. Anyone else would’ve been crucified online a hundred times over for something like that.]
[The person above must be one of Jeanette’s haters, right? Stop spreading baseless rumors!]
[What baseless rumors? I’m in Hansea right now, and plenty of people here know about it; the news just never made it back home. Or else, why do you think Jeanette Kensington’s teammate just randomly quit? And why did Jeanette suddenly decide to come back home to continue her career? It’s just easier for her to keep up her shameless cash grabs. How can someone like that still have fans?]
[If you can’t show any proof, you’re just spewing nonsense. To the person above: spreading baseless rumors is slander, and you can be held accountable for it!]
[If this is true, then Jeanette Kensington is terrifying!]
[How could that be true? This is obviously a coordinated smear campaign against Jeanette!]

Jeanette Kensington scrolled through the messages on her phone, her brow slowly furrowing. The hands at her sides suddenly clenched into tight fists.
’Anson Colt is filming a new drama? Why didn’t I hear anything about it? And why is the female lead Naomi Kenway? How could it be Naomi Kenway?!’
If it had been anyone else, she wouldn’t have cared. But every time she saw Naomi Kenway doing better than her, it felt like a stinging slap to the face.
Jeanette Kensington scrolled down and found the hit pieces targeting her, accusing her of stealing Naomi Kenway’s role.
’Even though that was, in fact, what happened...’
Jeanette Kensington made a phone call. The man’s voice on the other end was unusually solicitous. "Jeanette... you finally decided to call me. Where are you? I miss you so much..."
Listening to his unctuous voice, Jeanette Kensington frowned. "Enough. I’m calling about something serious. Have you seen the news online? Make sure you get rid of any trending topics that are unfavorable to me. My career is taking off, and I don’t want to be dragged down by baseless speculation."
The voice on the other end sounded a little crestfallen. "Alright... Jeanette, when can we meet? The last time we were together was two weeks ago..."
Jeanette Kensington brushed him off impatiently. "I’ve been busy lately."
"I understand you’re busy with work, I do, but..." His voice was tinged with irritation. "How long are we going to keep sneaking around like this? I love you so much, can’t you just dump that pretty boy of yours? What does he have that I don’t? I’ll let you spend all my money!"
"Shut up," Jeanette Kensington said coldly. "We agreed from the start that this was a mutually beneficial arrangement. I am never leaving my boyfriend, so get that idea out of your head for good!"
With that, Jeanette Kensington furiously hung up the phone. But as she stood up, she was shocked to see Caleb Bishop by the door, changing his shoes. She had no idea how long he’d been there...
"Caleb..."
Caleb Bishop finished changing into his slippers and walked over.
"Let me explain. That was just a guy who’s pursuing me. He’s been pestering me relentlessly. I don’t like him at all, you know that. I only love you. He can’t even begin to compare to you!"
"Oh."
That one, flat word stopped Jeanette Kensington in her tracks.
"You... what do you mean, ’oh’?"
"I believe you," Caleb Bishop said. "Why are you at my place again? Doesn’t my mom dislike you coming over all the time?"
"So you just do whatever she says?" Jeanette Kensington snapped. "You’ll listen to anyone but me!"
"Don’t start." Caleb Bishop looked at her, his patience wearing thin. "I just got off work. I’m tired and I don’t want to fight with you. There are drinks in the fridge. If you want to stay, stay for a bit. I’m going upstairs to rest."
Jeanette Kensington watched his retreating back, then looked down as her eyes quietly filled with tears.
Her phone rang. It was Paul Grant.
"The initial press announcements are done. We’re scheduled to start filming on the eighteenth of this month. Make sure you’re ready."
Jeanette Kensington replied, "Okay, Grant."
Paul Grant grunted in acknowledgment. "I’m a little busy here, so I’ve got to go."
Jeanette Kensington was about to say something else but was met with the dial tone.
Paul Grant’s attitude toward her was cold, nothing like the warmth he’d shown before. She had expected this. She knew this would be the eventual result of blackmailing him over a past debt of gratitude.
More than a decade ago, Paul Grant had received help from Rose Kenway. He’d said that money helped him get through a major crisis. And so, Jeanette Kensington had used the identity of "the only daughter of the Kenway Family" to trade for the role she wanted.
She had originally intended to knock Naomi Kenway down a peg, but she never expected Anson Colt would actually agree to work with her...
The thought gave Jeanette Kensington a splitting headache. ’But it doesn’t matter,’ she thought. ’I’m confident I can teach Naomi Kenway a lesson, just like when we were kids.’

The Lynch Family was hit with one blow after another. After Christina Lynch was sent to prison, custody of Nathan Lynch was awarded to Victoria Vance. She transferred some of her overseas business assets to the country and purchased a villa near Nathan Lynch’s kindergarten.
With Nathan Lynch by her side, Victoria Vance felt her heart finally begin to settle. She never brought up the car crash or Christina Lynch’s imprisonment, and luckily, Nathan never asked. Otherwise, Victoria wouldn’t have known how to explain it to him—how to explain that his father was a senseless nightmare. But she had a nagging feeling that maybe Nathan already knew. That he knew everything, and that was precisely why he never asked.
"Mom, what are you thinking about? Look what I made! Isn’t it cool?"
Victoria Vance snapped out of her thoughts and smiled warmly at Nathan Lynch. "It’s beautiful." Then she asked, "We’ve moved into a new house. How do you like it here, Mike?"
Nathan Lynch nodded. "I love it! Mom is here, and my annoying dad and stepmom aren’t. I really love it here!"
A smile spread across Victoria Vance’s face.
The doorbell rang. Nathan Lynch scampered over to open it. "It must be Uncle Dawson!"
"Slow down," Victoria Vance said, watching his scurrying form with a doting smile.
The door opened, and Nathan Lynch looked up. "Uncle Dawson."
"Hey there, Little Mike!" Aidan Dawson scooped Nathan Lynch up with one arm and spun him around. "Did you miss me?"
"I’m not little anymore! Don’t call me Little Mike!" Nathan Lynch said, feigning anger.
Aidan Dawson laughed and agreed. He carried Nathan Lynch over, his expression growing a little tense when he saw Victoria Vance. He placed a plastic bag on the table.
"It’s nothing fancy. My mom made some dumplings, so I brought them over."
"Aidan, why do you keep bringing so much stuff over?"
