The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 346: The Cameraman Gets Lost in the Manor
[Holy crap, even TV shows wouldn’t dare to script something like this! This is ten times more luxurious than the mansions you see on TV. Forgive me for being so uncultured, I don’t even know how to describe it...]
[It’s so packed with stuff. If a thief got in, they wouldn’t even know what to steal first.]
[I doubt a thief could even get in. The distance from the estate gate to the house is insane. Wouldn’t they just collapse from exhaustion walking all the way here?]
[Hahahahaha, I’m dying! But that’s a good point. You really could collapse from exhaustion walking that far.]
[Why did the cameraman start crying? Didn’t Naomi Kenway say she didn’t blame him? Besides, it was just a shelf. How can an adult be that fragile, crying over every little thing?]
[That shelf is either sandalwood or huanghuali wood. But that’s not the point. The point is that the porcelain antiques on it look incredibly old. If they fell, he would’ve had to pay for the damages.]
[I know a little about porcelain. I can’t see the pieces in the back clearly, but those two blue-and-white vases on the outside look like they’re from the Valerian Dynasty. Judging by their color and pristine condition, they’re worth at least several hundred thousand. So don’t go criticizing the cameraman for being fragile. If an ordinary person realized they almost knocked over porcelain worth a million, they’d probably be scared enough to fall to their knees, unless they’re rich, of course.]
[Damn, Naomi Kenway really keeps her wealth on the down-low. She’s never flaunted it on the show before. I had no idea her home was this... I’m just floored.]
[Mama, I’m your long-lost child! Please notice me!]
[Enough said. Is it too late for me to get reincarnated?]
...
"Where’s Ian?" the assistant director asked.
"He’s upstairs. I’ll take you to him," Naomi Kenway said, leading the cameraman up the stairs.
As they walked, the assistant director made small talk with Naomi Kenway. "It seems Mr. Shaw isn’t here today."
Naomi Kenway nodded. "He went to the office early this morning to take care of some things. He should be back around noon."
Naomi Kenway knocked on the door. "Ian, the assistant director and the cameraman are here to visit."
The door opened, and Ian Shaw peeked his head out. He took Naomi Kenway’s hand and called out softly, "Mom."
Knowing the show was recording, Ian Shaw had become quite a natural at greeting the camera. He waved his hand. "Hello to all the uncles, aunties, big brothers, and big sisters!"
The assistant director was pleasantly surprised. "It seems Ian isn’t as shy with strangers as he used to be." As if performing a magic trick, he pulled a lollipop from his pocket, held it out, and said with a smile, "A colleague of mine told me you really like lollipops."
Ian glanced at Naomi Kenway before accepting it. "Thank you, sir."
"Aw, what a good boy."
The cameraman entered the room, panning his camera across the bedroom.
Ian Shaw sat back down at his small desk. He had been reading a book, but after seeing Naomi Kenway, he lost interest. He took a model airplane he had made from his desk to show her.
The model airplane was exquisitely crafted, not at all like the work of a four-year-old, but Naomi Kenway was already used to this. She held it in her hands, examining it closely for a moment, a smile touching her lips. "It’s beautiful."
"It can fly, too," Ian said. He then took the model back from Naomi Kenway. With a slight movement of his pale, slender fingers, he revealed a hidden slot. The complex tangle of wires inside was enough to make one’s head spin just by looking at it.
The slot was too small for Naomi Kenway to see clearly, but she could tell Ian was turning something with a tiny screwdriver. A moment later, he reassembled the model, took out a remote control he had prepared earlier, and the model, which had been sitting on the desk, lifted off smoothly. Under Ian’s control, it flew a circle around the room before landing gently in Naomi Kenway’s hands.
The surprise in Naomi Kenway’s eyes was unmistakable. "This must have taken you a long time to make, didn’t it?"
"It didn’t take that long. The teacher in arts and crafts class told us to make paper airplanes, and I got a little bored, so I made this model instead." He frowned slightly, his pale cheeks puffing out. "It just took a while to find the materials."
[His childhood and my childhood... it seems they’re not the same.]
[Who knew Ian had this kind of talent? He could get rich just by making model toys in the future! No wonder Naomi Kenway never worries about his education. At least Ian has a marketable skill.]
[Are you sure it’s just *one* skill? Ian knows so much, okay? His language abilities and memory make even me, a full-grown adult, feel inadequate.]
[At the beginning, a bunch of people were calling Ian dumb. Look who’s eating their words now, huh?]
[I always thought Ian was smart. He’s just as impressive as Mona.]
[Why does everyone always have to compare them? They’re both brilliant kids. Can’t we just praise them both?]
[For real? A kid made that model airplane himself? That’s too unbelievable. It has to be store-bought.] 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
[Didn’t you just see Ian tweaking it? What’s so impossible about that? Child prodigies are rare, but they exist. Don’t be so surprised by things you haven’t seen before.]
[Back in the first episode, I probably would have thought this model airplane was just bought for the show. But after following for so many episodes, the amount of shock Ian and Nina have given me is just too much. Seeing this model now, it actually feels perfectly normal for someone with Ian’s abilities to make it.]
[Wait, are we serious with that bookshelf? I can’t even read the titles. Is that French or Spanish?]
[Doesn’t Ian speak French? What’s the big deal about him reading a French book?]
[But the point is, it’s not just French books up there! Besides English, there are some less common languages too.]
...
The assistant director also noticed the books on the shelf and asked curiously, "Are these all books that Ian reads regularly?"
Naomi Kenway nodded. "Yes, these are some of his favorites."
A knock sounded at the door. It was Nanny Warren, reminding Naomi Kenway that it was time for Ian to go to school.
Ian put on his small backpack and went downstairs with Naomi Kenway.
A figure rushed in through the doorway—it was the cameraman, Lloyd Dawson, who had been missing for quite some time.
The assistant director pulled him aside. "Where have you been? You’ve been gone forever."
Lloyd Dawson wiped the sweat from his forehead, his face a mask of misery. "It’s not my fault! I just got lost."
"What?"
"Luckily, I ran into the butler here, and he showed me the way."
The assistant director looked over and saw the butler in the distance, who gave him a slight nod.
[Someone jinxed it. Forget a thief, even the cameraman can’t find his way around.]
[I bet it’s hard to find the bathroom, too.]
[I can’t believe he actually got lost (crying laughing)]
[Ahhh, that’s it! I, a poor person, am going to fight you rich people!!]
[This has to be scripted, right?]
[The estate is this huge, so I don’t think it’s scripted. And even if it were, you can’t deny the estate is genuinely massive.]
[The AD’s expression is literally me right now. Shocked all over again.]
[I’m dying. The cameraman better remember the way next time. I doubt GPS works inside the estate.]
[No wonder Naomi Kenway didn’t care about all that negative press about her before. Turns out being an actress is just a hobby for her.]
