The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 342: Sooner or Later, I’ll Turn the Kenway Family into the Kensington Family
Sophia Zobel truly did care for Nathan Lynch.
After crying for a while, Victor Vance managed to compose herself. "I’ve been investigating ever since we last spoke, and just as I suspected, there was something wrong with what happened all those years ago."
Victor Vance’s eyes turned cold. "Christina Lynch and Renee Jennings knew each other long before any of this. While there’s no concrete evidence yet that they were having an affair back then, they certainly weren’t as innocent as they publicly claimed. I got my hands on a few videotapes. The footage clearly shows I was unconscious when I was brought into the hotel room, so the claim that I willingly cheated is baseless."
Hearing Victor Vance’s story, Naomi Kenway’s heart clenched. She squeezed Victor’s hand. "You’ve been wronged."
Realizing what Naomi had misunderstood, Victor Vance explained, "Nina, don’t worry. I wasn’t... violated that year." She gave a cold laugh, her usually gentle face contorting with extreme anger. "Perhaps Christina Lynch was in too much of a hurry. He brought the paparazzi to ’catch me in the act’ less than five minutes later!"
"What a disgusting, despicable scumbag," Naomi Kenway said coldly.
Victor Vance paused for a second before nodding. "That’s a very fitting description."
"Actually, I came here to ask for your help with something, Nina. The incident took place at The Sutton, which I’ve since discovered is a Shaw Family property. Some of the surveillance footage from that year was for internal use only and was never released. That’s why I need your help."
Naomi Kenway nodded. "Alright. No problem, it’s a small matter."
Victor Vance said gratefully, "Thank you..."
Naomi Kenway shook her head. "Don’t be so formal." Her gaze drifted into the distance. "Christina Lynch and Renee Jennings have been all over the trending topics these last few days. With a sensitive issue like child abuse, even if it doesn’t destroy them, they’re going to pay a heavy price. But without concrete evidence, this whole thing could blow up or blow over. If I’m not mistaken, their next move will be to issue a statement clarifying that it’s all just a rumor. Then, they’ll act all lovey-dovey during tomorrow’s live broadcast recording, and the rumors will collapse on their own."
Victor Vance nodded. "I’ve already seen their statement, but a lot of people online aren’t buying it. Their next step is probably to put on a show, just like you said, Nina." She sighed. "Whether the accusations are true or not, I just hope they’re a little kinder to my son."
Naomi Kenway patted her hand reassuringly. "It’ll be soon. Before you know it, Nathan will be back with you. And as for Christina Lynch and Renee Jennings..." A sharp glint flashed in her eyes. "Sooner or later, they’ll be devoured by the public backlash."

「Kenway Residence」
"Jackson, look! Caleb sent this over. It’s wild mountain ginseng, over a hundred years old, they say. A true Mountain Ginseng King! This stuff is incredibly restorative! Caleb is so busy at the office, but he still remembers to honor us old folks. You couldn’t find a son-in-law this good if you searched with a lantern!" Lorraine Warren beamed, her eyes crinkling as she reached out to stroke the red brocade box.
"Listen to you, you’re practically glowing. You really do dote on him like he’s your own son." Though his words were teasing, Jackson Kensington’s face was filled with a satisfied smile. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Lorraine Warren smiled at him. "You always love to tease me. But look at Caleb, always sending these fine tonics to the house. Who wouldn’t be touched by such devotion?"
Jackson Kensington nodded. "He’s a good kid."
’He had always been somewhat wary of Caleb Bishop. In fact, the first time he’d met Caleb wasn’t through Jeanette. It had been on a warm afternoon, when Naomi had excitedly run over, phone in hand, to show him and Rose her boyfriend. On the other end of the video call was Caleb Bishop’s handsome, youthful face, unable to hide his nervous apprehension. The memory was still vivid.
Perhaps it was because Caleb had seemed so serious about Naomi back then, only to switch his allegiance so quickly. When Jeanette brought Caleb home, he couldn’t help but suspect the man had ulterior motives.
That suspicion lingered for a long time, only fading after several years of interaction. Caleb was consistently gentle and considerate toward Jeanette, always emotionally stable, never losing his temper. He was flawless. If all of that was just an act, then Caleb was playing at a level far beyond his own.’
Lately, Jackson Kensington had been enjoying his leisure. Though the Kenway Group had taken a nosedive after cutting ties with the Shaw Family, Caleb, thankfully, had proven his worth. In just a few short months, he had helped secure several major partnerships, and the company was now thriving. It was all thanks to Caleb.
At first, Jackson Kensington had been reluctant to let Caleb handle company affairs, but now, he couldn’t manage without him.
Recognizing this dependence, Jackson Kensington frowned instinctively.
Lorraine Warren’s voice broke Jackson Kensington out of his reverie. "The Kenway Family is doing better and better every day. It’s wonderful. Those few wealthy wives who used to give me the cold shoulder are now fighting to take me out to dinner."
Hearing this, Jackson’s gaze darkened. "The Kenway Family? That name is so grating to the ear. Sooner or later, I’ll turn the Kenway Family into the Kensington Family."
Lorraine Warren admired his ambition, but couldn’t help worrying. "There are a few stubborn old-timers on the board who are staunchly loyal to the Kenways. They’ve been with the company since Old Mr. Kenway’s generation."
"So what? A bunch of guys with one foot in the grave dare to tell me what to do?" Jackson said. "Things are different now. The past is the past. With Caleb assisting me, it’s only a matter of time before those old fools are kicked out of the company!"
The look of adoration in Lorraine Warren’s eyes filled Jackson Kensington with pleasure. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "I told you I’d give you the good life, Lorraine."
Lorraine Warren gazed at him affectionately. "Jackson, I’m so lucky to have met you..."
’Staring into those eyes, so full of tender affection, Jackson’s mind inevitably flashed back to another pair of eyes—cold and clear. They were often icy, yet they had burned with fiery love whenever they looked at him.
In idle moments, Jackson would wonder: did he ever truly love Rose Kenway? Did he love the wife who had stood by him, unwavering, for twenty years?
Yes, he thought, he must have. Even though he’d been deeply infatuated with Lorraine Warren for a long time, and even though he had only used Rose Kenway as a stepping stone into high society, he thought, he must have loved her.
Rose Kenway was talented and beautiful; her face alone was enough to make one’s head spin. A wife so beautiful and capable, and so utterly devoted to him... his heart wasn’t made of stone. How could he not have loved her?
Sometimes he even thought he could have gone on like that forever, with a beautiful, capable wife and a gentle, considerate lover. But life is rarely so smooth, and his affair with Lorraine Warren was discovered.
Rose Kenway was a stubborn, fiercely principled woman. She could not accept such a tangible betrayal.
The memory of that day was distant now, and Jackson could no longer recall the exact details. He only remembered the towering rage in Rose Kenway’s cold eyes. He remembered her saying the word "divorce," her tone firm and unyielding.
After all their years together, Jackson knew she was a woman who never went back on her word.
But how could he agree to a divorce? If he left with nothing, he would be left with nothing. The house, the cars, the fawning gazes of those around him—all of it would vanish. He would be forced back to the countryside, back to a life of mediocre toil. Decades of effort would turn to smoke.’
