Waves of corruption, along with existential-disrupting waves, flowed towards Alexander like a rolling tsunami, striving to invade his existence to no avail.

A cleansing pulse erupted from Alex's body, pushing back the waves of corruption. The corruption might not affect him, but it was too repulsive to move in.

Following the movements of the grotesque apparitions, Alexander focused on the mass of distortion that had been given shape.

Among the remaining three, that one had the longest reach, thanks to its long limbs. Moreover, the creature simply moving around was tearing the Chaosveil apart, dealing more damage to reality.

The abomination had lunged three of its disgusting limbs at him, while the other two closed in on his position.

Two of the limbs came from above, while the last one came from below. His spear won't arrive on time, and creating another one would take a bit of time to manifest due to the crushing suppression.

Even with his increased body size that rivalled massive planets, he paled in comparison to the abominable 'generals'.

A devastatingly powerful explosion erupted in the void, the point of impact and essence shockwaves ruthlessly shaking and tearing apart the veil of chaos.

The three massive limbs buried Alexander's figure within, and for a few moments, nothing else happened.

But then, one of the ghostly limbs quivered, sending the jolt through the creature's entire form. The apparition let out a rippling screech as it flung its three limbs apart.

Alexander was speedily travelling through one of its limbs towards its centre, where its core was located.

Before the abomination could attempt to sever that limb, Alexander's spear came out of nowhere and explosively tore through the limb that tried to separate the other.

Another shudder ran through the distorted apparition as cracks appeared in its ghostly form. Its form contorted and wobbled for a moment before exploding in a rain of essence.

Whether flesh or ethereal, no form could escape his powers.

Emerging from the heart of the explosion with a disgusted face, Alexander caught his spear and flawlessly manoeuvred out of the sea of rifts in the veil of reality.

As much as he wanted to maintain an indifferent expression on his face, he could not. Swimming through the abomination to reach its core did a number on his psyche.

The creatures were just too abhorrent.

Already aware of the movements of the remaining two abominations who changed their attack trajectories as soon as they realised where he was, Alexander advanced to meet the six-winged, corpse-pale apparition.

Behind him, the slug-like creature, with its numerous, grotesque mouths, dragged itself across the ruptured, chaotic void, producing whispering waves of disruptive essence at Alex.

The corruptive waves with the power to corrode existential frameworks crossed the chasm of distance and washed over Alexander's body.

Anyone else would have had their existence disentangled like the threads that make up a fabric, doomed to be erased forever. Unfortunately for the creature, Alexander was not a part of their reality.

Ignoring the sickening power rolling over his existence, Alex brandished his spear as the winged abomination unfurled its massive, disgusting wings, the runes on them glowing in a sinister light.

The abomination had attempted to change Alexander's fate several times with no success. However, as its means of attacking, there wasn't much it could do.

When Alexander first realised what those runes were, he flashed a slight smile because the abomination could not incorporate Alexander in its world-ending spell.

His existence was literally out of this reality.

Against someone like him, the six-winged apparition might as well be the weakest of the five 'generals'.

Alexander's spear shot towards the abomination a split second later, spiralling as it cut through the waves of corruption and suppression with apparent ease.

Using the momentum of his spear throw, Alex turned around to face the last abomination, his eyes flaring with murderous light. The creature was indeed fast… fast when compared to his suppressed speed, at least.

Due to taking a moment to root himself for the spear throw, the slug-like creature managed to close the remaining distance, one of its disgusting, razor-sharp mouths chomping down on him.

Alexander caught the massive and disgustingly sharp upper rows of fangs above his head, his legs breaking the momentum of the set below.

The abrupt break in the chomp's momentum caused the void to erupt violently, whipping essence out in every direction.

'You'd have to be a lot stronger than that, worm.'

Alex scoffed as his eyes blazed with deadly white radiance. The apparition continued to chomp down on him to no avail.

It struggled and whipped around like the worm it was. But try as it might, it could not push down any further.

Then, the six-winged apparition's distance explosion echoed, the shockwaves shaking the already devastated void.

Through his spread-out senses, Alexander confirmed the death of the ripped-apart abomination that was slowly dissipating into harmless essence.

As the slug-like creature haphazardly rolled around while dishing out waves of whispering madness directly at Alexander, he pinpointed the location of its core. Then, he unleashed a tiny fraction of the might of his destructive optic beams.

Like two barrels of white light, the beams ruthlessly tore through the corrupted and nasty flesh of the abomination, almost instantly reaching its core.

The abomination let out a desperate screech as the beams fractured its core, the existential erasing trait of its power quickly devouring and dissipating it.

As the last of the 'generals' exploded in a gory mess, Alexander distanced himself, an invisible field shielding him from the mess.

Everywhere he looked was filled with massive tears and destruction, with barely any space left untouched.

The fight had only lasted a few short seconds, but that was way too much time. Several more universes had fallen in that short span of time, worsening the condition of the Omnisoul.

Turning his attention to the architect of this madness, Alex extended his hand out for his spear. A split second later, it was in his grasp, humming with excitement.

The Cosmic Horror was entirely focused on its task, seemingly in a desperate attempt to break the invisible dome. He had been right in his haste to get here.

From what Alexander noticed, the Master of Horrors had expanded the cracks from those few seconds he focused on killing its 'generals.'

'It hadn't even bothered to spare another glance my way.'

As for The Omnisoul, aside from its wobbling and pulsing behaviour, the frequency of its irregular and out-of-place shuddering had increased.

He had a suspicion about what was causing that behaviour. But that was irrelevant at the moment. He had to first deal with the Cosmic abomination.

One thing about the void was that every direction could be up or down, and it was up to an entity to create a bearing.

Resetting his bearings to look as though he was above and adjacent to Cthulhu, Alexander extended his hand with the spear forward, the spear perpendicular to his figure.

For a brief moment, he closed his eyes and channelled his power. In response, the spear in his hand trembled, the gem glowing with the element of absolute oblivion and nothingness.

All around him, the trembling of the void intensified, twisting and churning as though it was subjected to an unbearable heat.

When he reopened his eyes, the void rumbled; the suppression it exerted on his existence forcefully and momentarily pushed back.

Eyes were set ablaze as waves of annihilating power rolled off his body like a ruptured dam.

The Cosmic Horror finally tore its focus away from The Omnisoul. Then, something akin to terror flickered in its gaze.

'How ironic… The Master of Terrors is terrified.'

The observation put a slight smile on his face as he pulled his hand back, the spear trembling with unhinged excitement.

'Goodbye, monster… Your reign of terror ends now.'

When Alexander threw his spear, the void and surrounding essence failed to react, almost like they were too slow. The spear instantaneously crossed the chasm to the massive apparition of a creature. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

A slight frown creased his brows before everything went white. And when the void and surrounding essence caught up, everything around him collapsed in a devastating explosion.

The remnant veil of chaos was ruthlessly shredded and erased, exposing the blank and absolute void of nothingness.

'...'

Alexander straightened his figure as he silently watched the radiant effect of his attack slowly dissipate. That attack was the most powerful one he had ever dished out.

As much as he wanted to spare harming reality any further, anything less wouldn't have sufficed.

For the rest of the multiverse, everything within the void turned white for several milliseconds, momentarily pausing the raging madness.

Everyone, without exception, was forced to shield themselves from the rippling shockwaves. Surprisingly, the shockwaves were not destructive.

It seamlessly washed over everyone and everything like a cool breeze.

'Tsk, the bastard sure is powerful… not to mention, smart.'

Alexander indifferently took in the scene before his eyes, a little bit of annoyance and respect hidden within his eyes.

He had failed to one-shot the Cosmic Horror, as he had its 'generals', resulting in an almost improbable outcome.

'No matter… It was a long short anyway.'
