The Unveiling of Secret Queen-Chapter 1487 - 1486: I’ll Take You to Meet Mr. Dax
The following day.
Caryn Zachmann woke up early.
After washing up, she waited outside the hotel with Celine Tucker for Ellen Quarles to pick them up to report to the Pharmaceutical Association.
At half past nine, Ellen’s car arrived. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
The Quarles Family driver, dressed in a proper suit, respectfully opened the car door for the two: "Mrs. Zachmann, Ms. Zachmann, please get in the car."
Caryn and Celine got into the car one after the other.
The car slowly headed towards the Pharmaceutical Association.
Throughout the journey, Caryn kept her lips pursed, hardly speaking, her gaze constantly directed at the outside of the car window, her expression tense, showing she was very nervous.
Ellen chatted with Celine briefly, then turned to see Caryn so nervous, smiled gently, and said casually, "Caryn, you don’t need to be nervous. Once we get to the Pharmaceutical Association, just follow me, I’ll take you to report."
Caryn’s bright and beautiful eyes looked at her, feigned composure, and thanked her with modesty: "Thank you, Godmother."
Ellen did not respond, merely looked at her with a faint smile, her eyes briefly flashing disdain and contempt.
Honestly, if it weren’t for the Quarles Family, she would never have given Caryn Zachmann the spot at the Pharmaceutical Association.
Lenny was far more talented than Caryn Zachmann in medicine.
Originally, she intended to keep this precious spot for her own family, but fate has its twists— the Quarles Family had offended the Red Alliance, forcing her to seek outside support.
The spot at the Pharmaceutical Association, she had no choice but to relinquish it.
After all, Ellen wasn’t Evelyn Quarles, at over forty years old, she had long been seasoned by society, no matter how dissatisfied she was in her heart, she could maintain an impeccable facade without showing any dissatisfaction.
"Before I came, I called Mr. Dax; he’s here today, too. Once you finish your paperwork, I’ll take you to meet him."
Caryn hadn’t expected Ellen to introduce her to Mr. Dax. Her eyes brightened, unable to suppress the joy on her face, she expressed excitement, "Thank you, Godmother."
This time her gratitude was much more sincere than the previous.
Ellen smiled with pursed lips again, waved her hand, and said considerately, "You don’t have to be so polite with me."
"But when you see Mr. Dax later, remember to behave well, be sensible; this way you can make a good impression on Mr. Dax, which will benefit your future at the Pharmaceutical Association."
Without her reminder, Caryn understood the subtleties involved, nodding solemnly, "I know, don’t worry, Godmother, I won’t disappoint you."
Ellen tidied her shawl elegantly, smiling luxuriously, as if fully confident, "You, child, really, I’ve said you don’t need to be so polite with me. I am confident in you, of course~"

Half an hour later, the car arrived in front of a very rustic building, and found a spot to park.
Ellen glanced outside, opened the car door, and said to the two, "We’re here."
Caryn was still immersed in the joy of Ellen saying she would introduce her to Caleb Dax, until she saw Ellen unbuckle her seatbelt and get out of the car, only then did she look outside.
What met her eyes was a building with a distinctly European style, its exterior not particularly striking, yet its rustic charm quietly standing there.
She immediately felt a strong visual impact, along with an invisible pressure bearing down on her, causing her heart to race.
Is this the Pharmaceutical Association?
Caryn’s breath shortened, pupils contracted, she opened the car door handle, and got out of the car with Ellen.
She dared not utter a single breath.
