Chapter 433: Chapter 351

The people on stage didn’t expect Rong Zhi to catch the bouquet.

Yan Qique raised an eyebrow at Bai Su and smiled, "It seems the Yan Family can have another wedding this year."

Bai Su picked up the bouquet from Rong Zhi’s knee and placed it in front of himself. He looked up and met Yan Qique’s gaze, raising his eyebrow slightly and responded casually, "Thanks for your good wishes."

Yan Qique brought Zishu Ning down to offer a toast, starting with the Yan Family’s relatives at their table.

Zishu Ning stopped in front of Rong Zhi and whispered to Yan Qique, "Wait for me a moment."

He nodded amiably, "Alright."

Zishu Ning gestured to Rong Zhi to speak aside.

"I’ve already asked Qi Que. Tomorrow we’ll go to the ancestral house."

Rong Zhi nodded and placed the gift she prepared in Zishu Ning’s palm, "Thanks, here’s a thermal sensor for you."

She didn’t have any impressive gifts; Bai Su prepared the larger ones. She could only pick out a usable part from a pile of components to make a thermal sensor for Zishu Ning.

After carefully explaining the functionality of the thermal sensor, Zishu Ning, though not very interested in mechanical products, liked it because it was a gift from Rong Zhi.

"Thank you."

Rong Zhi gently squeezed her fingertip, lowered her eyes, and smiled softly, "Congratulations on your wedding."

The wedding was grand and splendid for both families, lasting until ten o’clock at night when the banquet finally ended.

Bai Su took off his suit jacket, unbuttoned two buttons, revealing his long, fair neck. He took two steps forward, sensed something, and turned his head to look at a shadowy corner of the hall, his eyes slightly narrowed, showing a hint of chill.

Rong Zhi followed beside him, and when he stopped, she couldn’t help but ask, "What’s wrong?"

"Seems like I saw some trouble-making kid." Bai Su retracted his gaze and leisurely took her hand, raising his elegant brows playfully, "Let’s go home."

Rong Zhi uttered an unemotional "oh."

She glanced toward where Bai Su had just looked. That corner was exactly a blind spot in everyone’s view, and if someone was crouched there, they wouldn’t be noticed unless approached.

The two left the hotel.

Back at Yan Mansion, Rong Zhi changed out of the uncomfortable cheongsam she was wearing and put on a shirt. She sat on the sofa playing with her phone.

Having been away from Beijing for some time, she could only rely on reports from others to know the city’s happenings.

"I just asked Jiang Gujun, he said Bai Yu came to Four Directions County."

Unbeknownst to her, Bai Su appeared behind her. Rong Zhi leaned back to look at the room’s open window.

"Aren’t you afraid of getting caught climbing in?" She reached out a finger to push back the head that was too close, her lashes lowered.

Bai Su laughed carelessly, "They can’t catch me."

Thinking Rong Zhi was worried about him, he held her hand and sat beside her, "I’ll sit with you for a while and leave later."

Not having seen each other for over half a month, Bai Su wished to stick by her side all the time.

If it weren’t for the Yan Family rules restraining him, he would have moved in already.

Rong Zhi replied with a hum, trusting him to know his limits.

"Did you say Bai Yu came to Four Directions County?" Remembering what he said earlier, she pondered for two seconds and asked, "What for?"

"Not sure. Maybe he’s here to play."

When Yan Qique sent invitations, he certainly included Bai Family.

After all, his aunt is still the Madam Bai, and it was only proper to invite Bai Family. However, only Bai Su attended the wedding from Bai Family, and the rest just sent gifts.

Bai Yu probably got the invitation that wasn’t needed.

He and Bai Su share the same mother—Madam Bai, and are genuinely blood-related cousins to Yan Qique, naturally carrying Yan Family’s bloodline. Thus, entering Four Directions County wasn’t difficult for him.

Bai Su pondered for a moment but couldn’t think of a reason for Bai Yu coming to Four Directions County, deciding to leave it alone.

"As long as he doesn’t cause trouble, it’s fine."
