The Ugly Duckling Of The Tiger Tribe-Chapter 88: Congratulations on getting slapped for the first time, you pampered bitch!
Everyone watched me as I walked towards Zevak, Ashren, and Veyra.
Solin stood at the side, not sticking to any side as she quietly observed.
"What do you think you’re doing right now?" Zevak said, but I looked at him and said,
"I have something to say to Veyra," I said and walked past him, standing in front of Veyra.
Veyra didn’t know what I was up to but she didn’t feel comfortable about it.
Yet, she was confident I wouldn’t be able to do anything to her since Zevak and Ashren were standing by her side.
Ah, but that confidence meant nothing to me who had made up my mind.
"What... What do you want to say, Sister?" She asked, her voice lightly trembling. "If you want to apologize and beg me to keep this a secret then I..."
"Ah, none of that," I said, lifting my head.
Then, I smiled at her.
"You know, I have a riddle for you."
"What... What’s that?" She asked, and I searched her eyes.
She still held up her confidence, but it didn’t look like she knew what a riddle was.
Which meant she was not a transmigrated person like me.
It was either that or she was such a great actor that I couldn’t catch on to it at all.
"It’s like a question," I said, still smiling. "But it’s quite funny too."
"O-kay?"
I could see the uneasiness on her face as I kept my smile up.
She must be confused, wondering why I can still smile in this situation.
Wondering why I was sane and making jokes in a situation like this.
It made her even easier when I dropped one hand on her shoulder.
I’m serious when I say I could hear her heart throbbing from where I stood.
"What are you doing?" Ashren asked, acting protective but I shook my head.
"I’m not doing anything, see?" I said. "She’s not even hurting. Or is a hand on her shoulder enough to kill her?"
This made them go speechless.
The situation was too abstract for them to understand what was going on.
But one thing was for sure, the snake might strike any time so they decided to focus most of their attention on where Damar and Fenric stood.
"So, the question goes like this," I said to Veyra. "What noise did the cheek make when it met with the palm?"
"What?" She looked confused and my smile grew wider.
"You’re curious, right? So am I? So why don’t we find out together?" With that, the smile fell from my lips, replaced with a stiff coldness and dark eyes as I raised my hand and slapped her hard across the face.
With Arinya’s hands that were hard, bones that were stronger than most females, and palms that were rough, I bet she didn’t expect a slap to hurt that much.
In fact, she probably never expected a slap at all.
Congratulations on getting slapped for the first time, you pampered bitch!
The slap landed hard, catching Veyra by surprise as shock spread over her stunned and sunken face.
Ashren and Zevak, who heard this, could not help but turn in shock.
"You, what did you...?"
Of course, I couldn’t be satisfied with just one slap, so I slapped her across the other cheek as well, she fell to the ground, acting all pitiful and frail, as she gasped for air while holding her cheeks and crying.
"How dare you?" Zevak planned to hit me and this triggered my husbands.
They wanted to intervene, but I had reacted before they could take a step from where they stood.
I slapped Zevak across the face, harder than I slapped Veyra.
This caught him by surprise, but I bet he was even more surprised when I slapped his second cheek and then kicked his leg so he could fall to the ground.
Then, I turned to Ashren.
He flinched, forgetting he was a male and he could take me on.
Just showing him a bit of dominance was enough for him to forget he was stronger than me and I exploited that moment of confusion.
I kicked the back of his knee and he fell to his knees.
I slapped both his cheeks so fast and then kicked his face, just as he kicked Arinya a while back.
Once that was done, I let out a sigh and felt satisfied.
Yes, this was it.
If things were going to blow up and I was going to be charged for a crime, I might as well create an actual crime and know I am not exactly without blame.
But even with this, I don’t think I’m guilty.
After all, each of them has hurt me way more than they are hurting right now.
As for Veyra...
I turned to glare at her and she flinched, swallowing her sobs. But that didn’t last as she regained her confidence and yelled at me.
"What are you doing? How dare you hit us? Do you think you’ll get away with this?" She asked and I approached her.
"I probably won’t," I said.
"That’s right. You’ll regret—" *smack!*
I gave her another slap across her already swollen cheek.
Just two slaps don’t satisfy me.
As long as she still has the energy to ramble, I think she can take a few more slaps.
They stared at me in shock and I kept slapping her until Ashren and Zevak finally regained themselves and tried to stop me.
But they couldn’t, because Damar and Fenric had them by the throat.
"Don’t interrupt her." Damar hissed.
Thanks to this, I felt so much better beating up this bitch that always tried to screw my life over.
I’m sure Arinya will appreciate this.
Yeah, this must be one of her bucket list items checked off.
I gazed into the changing sky with a look of satisfaction spread over my exhausted face, and then I sighed.
This...p Should be the best I’ve done since I got back.
This revenge feels so sweet.
But now... With the approaching thumping footsteps, I realized things had already escalated... It’s time to face the aftermath.
The people who emerged were the two chiefs as well as a few other tribe members.
The moment they saw Damar, their reaction was to capture him but I yelled,
"Stop right there!"
I don’t know where the courage or the power to make such commands came from but the moment I knew my husband was going to be treated like some wild beast being hunted, I decided to let go of whatever weight was pulling me down.
I stood where I stood, looking at them with a dead stare as I said,
"If anyone else is going to say something about my husband being here, then I can’t guarantee what I’ll do next. I... Just might become the criminal you all always call me by. So..." My forehead creased even more. "Back off!"
