Chapter 895: Chapter 895: Why Are You Crying?

On the trip back to the South Seas, Delphine rode on Ignatius’s private jet. When that man left, he almost took nothing with him, leaving behind the business empire built over more than thirty years and all the elites to her.

Benjamin recognized the plane as Daddy’s; his pink bunny plush was still on the seat.

"Mommy, when is Daddy coming back?" The little girl hugged her bunny plush, and seeing Uncle Arthur and Uncle Maximilian, previously by Daddy’s side but now all around Mommy, sensitively realized something.

"Daddy went on a trip, and when Mommy goes to find him, he’ll come back, hmm?" She smiled, and her refined, gentle features brightened significantly with her smile, her entire temperament changing from an earlier coldness to softness.

Arthur and Maximilian exchanged a glance, for some unknown reason seeing in Delphine qualities previously only visible in Ignatius.

Accepting a woman as their superior was no longer as difficult as it initially was.

After Ignatius left, Arthur, leading the think tank, searched quietly for a week. Finding nothing, they had no choice but to approach Delphine. Deep down, neither wanted to hand over the empire Ignatius had built to a woman who seemingly understood nothing.

Arthur lowered his eyes and sighed; perhaps Delphine would do better than they imagined?

Ignatius’s judgment had never missed the mark.

When Benjamin heard Daddy went on a trip, he pouted and said softly, "Daddy’s gone on trips again; he doesn’t want Benjamin and brother anymore."

Delphine patted the little girl’s head, seeing Nicholas engrossed with another book, and smiled, "Benjamin, go ask brother if he wants something to eat."

The little girl, holding her bunny, ran off to find her brother to talk.

Upon arriving in the South Seas, Delphine returned directly to the small villa where they used to live. Everything there, including the grass and trees, had been carefully tended by Ignatius, and the furnishings inside were arranged according to his preferences, everywhere reflecting his presence.

The mother and children continued living in the small villa, without returning to the Leclair Manor. It was convenient if Griffith or Leah returned to the South Seas, as they were close by.

Early the next morning, Delphine took the two children to the Leclair Manor to see the old man.

The old man, seeing her, was instantly moved to tears, even when two adorable little ones hugged him, calling him Great Grandpa sweetly, he couldn’t help but wipe the tears from the corners of his eyes.

His eldest grandson had been gone for a week without any news. If it could be understood being forgotten due to busyness, Delphine’s sudden return with the children clarified what the old man’s heart already knew. Where had that child gone? To leave even his grandpa? It must be something of great consequence.

"Take care of your health, and later I’ll accompany you to the Yeager’s memorial service." Delphine helped the old man, speaking softly.

"Great Grandpa, why are you crying?" Benjamin took out his bunny-faced handkerchief he carried and stood on tiptoe to wipe the corners of Great Grandpa’s eyes.

The old man, touched by her kind gesture, hugged little Benjamin tightly, not wanting to let go.

For a moment, the atmosphere relaxed considerably.

Nathan arrived at the Leclair Manor after Delphine. The situation with the Yeager Family, when all was said and done, had numerous links to the Leclair Family. Attending the memorial was a must, lest people say they were cold and heartless.

The man arrived at the Leclair Manor dressed in a solemn black suit, seeing Delphine similarly in a strikingly graceful black ensemble, paused for a moment, and noticed Arthur closely following her, lost in thought.
