Chapter 879: Chapter 879: Benjamin Has Money, and So Does My Daddy

Delphine arrived in Brocade City at night. This small town nestled against the mountains and beside the water was enveloped in tranquil darkness, all was silent.

Griffith Squire took her and Leah to the villa in Brocade City, then left for errands.

She carried Nicholas Carter to bed, and sat with Leah in Daxton Summer’s courtyard chatting. Neither of them felt sleepy, and finally returned to rest only when the sky began to lighten.

Early the next morning, Nicholas Carter woke up to find himself in a new place. The young boy was startled at first, but seeing his mommy sleeping beside him, he calmed down, carefully got up, and began exploring the new surroundings.

Nicholas Carter found the sink, then brought over a stool to stand on. He took out an unused toothbrush and towel from the cabinet, brushed his teeth and washed his face, then ran downstairs to explore the environment of their new home.

Since childhood, he had followed Delphine everywhere, becoming adept at adapting to new places.

Downstairs, there was only a middle-aged aunt. The helper aunt was startled to see such a beautiful little boy.

"Auntie, may I make a phone call?" Nicholas pointed to the phone in the living room and politely asked.

"You may." The aunt nodded quickly, thinking he was a child of the homeowner’s friend.

Nicholas’s lovely little face lit up instantly, sitting properly on the sofa, then dialed Benjamin Leclair’s number. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Benjamin cried for a while at night and hardly slept, but held onto the phone her daddy bought her, feeling that as long as she had it, even if her mommy and brother were not present, they could still video call, just like last time when daddy took mommy for a retreat in the mountains.

The little girl was a bit dazed when the phone woke her. She rubbed her eyes, saw the unfamiliar number, patted her cheeks, and pressed the answer key, speaking softly, "Hello, who are you looking for?"

"Benjamin, it’s your brother." Nicholas stood up joyfully when the call connected, speaking crisply and happily, "Mommy and I moved to a new place. It’s really big here, Benjamin! After Mommy and I settle in, we’ll bring you over."

The little girl paused for several seconds before she responded, excitedly shouting, "Brother, brother, where are you? Benjamin wants to come."

The young boy looked at the unfamiliar villa, scratched his head, and chuckled, "Actually, I’m not sure either. I’ll ask Mommy when she wakes up."

Looking at his pajamas, Nicholas whispered complaints, "There’s nothing here. Settling down might cost a lot of money."

The young boy felt a bit distressed thinking about all the clothes, books, and toys left at the Leclair residence. Mommy worked hard to earn money.

"Benjamin has money." Benjamin scrambled off the bed, not even bothering with shoes, excitedly going to find daddy.

The little girl rushed downstairs, taking three steps at a time, and excitedly said as she saw her daddy sitting at the dining table, his back like a mountain, "Daddy has money too! Brother, tell me how much you need, and I’ll have daddy give it to you."

Benjamin’s sweet voice, like a spring on a fresh morning, startled not only the old butler and old master but also Ignatius Leclair, who was sitting at the dining table, his body stiffening for a moment.

The little girl tugged at Ignatius Leclair’s clothes and handed over the cute pink phone, looking up, she softly said, "Daddy, brother called me."

The handsome, cold man paused for several seconds before taking his little girl’s pink phone, speaking in a deep voice, "Nicholas, are you alone?"
