Chapter 1042: Chapter 1042: You Can’t Ask That Anymore

When Richard Shaw took Crystal Landon for a bath, he found that she had already fallen asleep from exhaustion, with traces of tears still visible on her pretty little face.

The man saw the blue and red marks all over her body, and a trace of regret flickered in his deep eyes. He had somewhat lost control.

Richard Shaw filled the bathtub with hot water, helped her wash, and then carried her to the bed. The bedding was a festive bright red, now utterly disordered beyond recognition.

The man changed the bed sheets, covered her well with the blanket, and only then tidied up the remaining mess. When he lay back down on the bed, he was no longer sleepy.

The sleeping Crystal Landon unconsciously leaned into his arms. Richard Shaw was always calm and self-possessed, but that night he was provoked by her words, leading to a loss of control, which for him was almost unthinkable. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

But such was the reality. The man reached for a cigarette from the bedside, lit it, expertly puffing smoke, and as he gazed at the scratches on her body, he slightly squinted, contemplating, then looked at his tiger’s mouth and palm.

He had been through many special trainings over the years, resulting in thick calluses on his tiger’s mouth and palm. Her skin was too delicate, leaving visible marks with his touch.

The man got up to find scissors, trimming away his calluses and smoothing them out. As a man long accustomed to using guns, his hands without callus protection would be abraded, but he was a man, his pain didn’t matter, he couldn’t let the woman suffer.

Richard Shaw saw the sky lightening outside, then went back to bed, gently holding her in his arms, not daring to hold her tight.

Though Crystal Landon was only 20, she had the perfect devilish figure; recalling the feel from his hands just now, even his palms began to heat up with the memory, he fumbled to turn off the lights and sleep, but didn’t dare touch her anymore.

The next day when she woke up, Crystal Landon felt her arms weren’t arms, legs weren’t legs, fortunately she was in good health and exercised regularly, so despite some discomfort, it wasn’t anything serious, only that the late-night antics had her wake up close to noon.

She covered her face with embarrassment, knowing everyone was aware of last night’s events.

The old lady had risen early, seeing Crystal Landon sleep past 11, didn’t let Aunt Zhao call her, waited for her to wake up naturally, and when she came downstairs, a radiant smile spread across her face, pulling her to sit beside the sofa, and then instructed Aunt Zhao to serve the prepared tonic. She asked quietly, "Grandma is asking you, don’t be shy, Richard Shaw went out early, did you two have a good time last night?"

The old lady asked very tactfully, afraid she might be shy, but since this was such an important matter, it had to be asked clearly.

Crystal Landon nodded, shyly responding, "Grandma, how can you ask such things, you shouldn’t ask in the future, it’s so embarrassing."

"Alright, alright, Grandma won’t ask anymore, children and grandchildren have their own fortunes, you’re both adults, I won’t interfere," the old lady laughed heartily, seeing this, and her year-long worries finally settled.

She knew her grandson too well, with a strong sense of responsibility, if he truly opposed or disliked someone, he wouldn’t even get close. Evidently, the boy liked her quite a lot; it’s just that this blockhead isn’t quite aware yet, perhaps doesn’t even realise himself.

The old lady set aside one of her concerns, and she was in a great mood all day.
