The Twisted Obsession-Chapter 313: Framed
Chapter 313: Framed
Abby sat in her office, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the desk as her mind raced through a whirlwind of emotions. The shattered phone lay in pieces on the floor, but her rage had cooled just enough to begin thinking clearly. She had always known Nicole was a threat, but now she could see it all clearly: Nicole wanted to take Remo from her, and she was willing to use any means to do so. But Abby wasn’t going to let her win. She couldn’t. Nicole had to be dealt with, and she had to be dealt with permanently.
The sudden ring of her office phone startled her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the caller ID—Remo. Her heart skipped a beat as she reached for the phone, her hands trembling slightly. Forcing herself to breathe, she pressed the answer button.
"Abby?" Remo’s deep voice came through, calm but with an edge of concern. "I saw the news."
Her grip on the phone tightened, but she kept her voice steady. "So, you know?"
There was a pause on the other end before he spoke again. "It’s just tabloids. You know how they are, twisting everything for a headline. You and I know the truth, and that’s all that matters."
Abby’s jaw clenched. The words were meant to soothe her, but they only fanned the flames of her jealousy. Did Remo really think he could brush this off so easily? That a simple explanation could erase the image of him with Nicole?
"I don’t care what the tabloids say, Remo," Abby said, her voice laced with venom. "I care about what you’ve been doing behind my back. With Nicole."
Remo sighed heavily, his patience clearly wearing thin. "There’s nothing going on between me and Nicole. She’s trying to stir up trouble, that’s all. I’ve already cut her off—she’s not going to be a problem anymore."
Abby’s eyes darkened as she stared at her reflection in the glass window. "Oh, Remo," she whispered, her voice sweet and icy. "I believe you. I do. But I think it’s time Nicole learned a lesson about staying in her place."
There was another pause, this time longer. "Abby, don’t do anything rash. We don’t need any more drama. I’ll handle it."
Abby smiled, though Remo couldn’t see it. "Of course, darling. I trust you."
The lie came out easily, and she hung up the phone before Remo could say anything else. Her smile faded the moment the call ended, and the darkness in her eyes deepened. No, this wasn’t something Remo could handle. This was something she had to do herself.

The plan had come together quickly after that. Abby knew exactly how to lure Nicole into her web. She had sent a message to Nicole’s phone, calm and polite, inviting her over to the house to "clear the air." The bait was simple enough—Nicole wouldn’t be able to resist the chance to gloat, to try and assert some twisted dominance over Abby.
And now, as Abby stood in the kitchen, stirring a pot on the stove, she could feel the anticipation building inside her. Everything was ready. Everything was in place.
The doorbell rang, and Abby’s heart quickened with excitement. She wiped her hands on a towel and went to open the door, her face calm and welcoming as she greeted Nicole.
"Nicole, so good of you to come," Abby said smoothly, stepping aside to let her in.
Nicole’s eyes narrowed slightly as she entered, her guard up but her curiosity piqued. "I wasn’t sure if you’d actually follow through on this little invitation. After everything, I thought you’d be more... upset."
Abby smiled, her expression deceptively soft. "Oh, believe me, I was. But I thought about it, and I realized that this could all be settled with a conversation. There’s no need for us to be enemies, is there?"
Nicole raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical, but she followed Abby into the kitchen nonetheless. "So, you’re not mad about the rumors? About what people are saying?"
"Not at all," Abby said, her voice light and breezy. "After all, I know Remo would never betray me. He’s loyal to me, and me alone. You... well, you’re just a distraction."
Nicole bristled at the remark, her pride clearly wounded. "I wouldn’t be so sure of that if I were you," she snapped, her voice hardening. "Men like Remo... they get bored easily."
Abby’s smile widened, but there was no warmth in it now—only cold calculation. "Oh, I’m sure you’d love for that to be true. But Remo’s not going anywhere. And neither are you."
Nicole blinked, confusion flickering across her face. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
Abby moved quickly, faster than Nicole expected. She reached for the knife on the counter, her movements swift and precise. In one fluid motion, she grabbed Nicole’s hand and pressed the knife into it, forcing her to hold it.
Nicole’s eyes widened in shock as Abby twisted their hands together, the blade of the knife gleaming under the kitchen lights. "What are you doing?!" Nicole gasped, struggling to pull away, but Abby’s grip was like iron.
Abby leaned in close, her lips brushing against Nicole’s ear as she whispered, "I warned you. I told you to stay away from Remo. But you didn’t listen. And now, you’re going to pay."
Before Nicole could fully react, Abby shifted her weight and thrust the knife into her own side, her face twisting into a mask of pain. She let out a gasp, staggering back and releasing Nicole’s hand, allowing the knife to remain lodged in her abdomen.
Nicole stood frozen, horror etched across her face. "Oh my God... what did you—what did you do?!"
At that exact moment, the front door opened, and Remo’s voice echoed through the hallway. "Abby? I’m home."
Nicole’s face paled as Remo entered the kitchen, his eyes immediately landing on Abby, who was slumped against the counter, the knife sticking out of her side, blood staining her shirt. His gaze then shifted to Nicole, who stood there in shock, her hands trembling, covered in blood.
"Abby!" Remo shouted, rushing toward her, his face a mix of panic and confusion. "What happened?!"
Abby’s eyes fluttered open, her breath shallow as she looked up at him, her voice weak but deliberate. "She... she tried to kill me, Remo. I... I tried to talk to her, but... she attacked me."
Nicole’s mouth opened in disbelief, but no words came out. She was too stunned, too horrified by what had just happened to even begin to defend herself.
Remo turned to Nicole, his eyes darkening with rage. "What the hell did you do?" he growled, his voice filled with fury.
Nicole backed away, shaking her head. "No... no, I didn’t... she—she did this to herself!"
But Abby’s quiet sobs filled the room, her trembling hand reaching for Remo’s. "I just wanted us to be friends," she whispered, tears filling her eyes. "I didn’t want this to happen..."
The scene unfolded before Remo, who stood there, torn between his wife’s apparent betrayal and the dark, twisted realization that something far more sinister had just taken place.
