The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory-Chapter 647 - 665 Mutual Intentions
Aurora Cooper and Aiden Jiang sat in the back, feeling a bit awkward,
She had been pampered since childhood, and even when she went abroad in her early twenties, her talent and opportunities allowed her to lead a pretty good life. She never suffered hardships, and paid attention to maintenance, so naturally her figure and skin were excellent.
One of her hands was white and delicate, neatly clutched, like green onions.
Aiden glanced down at it and asked indifferently, "Did Mia say she’s going to school the day after tomorrow?"
"Yes." Aurora replied softly without looking at him, "I’ve asked Dr. Jackson, too. He said she’s recovering well and can go to school without any problems."
"Thank you for your hard work. You’ve been taking care of her all this time."
"It’s what I should do." Aurora pursed her lips, as if afraid to wake Mia who was quietly resting in the front, her voice very small.
Aiden’s gaze fell on her lips again, noticing she wore lipstick.
He was momentarily lost in thought, which Aurora noticed, but she didn’t turn her head, her fingers tightened around her clutch bag.
Then—
Aiden grabbed her hand.
The marriage matter was still pending Aurora’s response, so naturally she was startled and instinctively struggled a little.
Aiden held her hand even tighter, his grip so strong she couldn’t break free.
Gradually, Aurora gave up resisting, leaning against the seat back, her body somewhat stiff, as if accepting a certain challenge.
Aiden placed her hand on the seat between them.
His thumb gently caressed the smooth back of her hand.
Aurora couldn’t comprehend why he suddenly stepped over the line, and couldn’t help but look up at him, using her almond-shaped eyes to silently express her reproach and dissatisfaction.
Aiden, taller than her, even while seated, looked down at her, his eyes deep and profound as the sea.
Aurora found this man too deep to handle at the moment and lowered her head to pull her hand away, but failed. Annoyed, she stretched out her other hand to pry his wrist.
Aiden simply grabbed her other hand too, and with one sweep of his long arm, pulled her wholly into his embrace.
"Let go of me." Aurora whispered sternly.
"Aurora." Aiden also lowered his voice, calling her once.
Just those two simple words, yet from his mouth, they suddenly carried a different kind of feeling.
Aurora’s body stiffened, forgetting to struggle.
Aiden was satisfied and couldn’t help but laugh, continuing in a voice only the two of them could hear, "We’re not young anymore, there’s no need to waste time on this kind of thing, messing around trying to probe each other’s feelings, right? Can’t you feel my intention?"
Three phone calls a day, morning, noon, and night, he had never been so diligent in keeping contact with anyone in his life.
"Mia’s sitting right in the front." Aurora said lowly and irritably.
"She can’t see." Aiden whispered in her ear, "Promise me."
"Promise you what?" Aurora didn’t react immediately.
"Marriage." Aiden succinctly.
As he finished speaking, he took out a diamond ring from his pocket and, without waiting for Aurora to refuse, slipped it onto her ring finger.
Aurora raised her hand wanting to remove it.
Aiden held her two hands tightly again, coaxing, "I’m marrying you for you, not just for Mia. I wanted to marry you twenty years ago, and now after missing out for so long, it’s obvious fate brought us together. Your company and property are all fine, you can have a prenuptial agreement, I won’t take a penny. The Ginger Family villa has been sold, exchanged for a bigger one. How about becoming Madam Ginger?"
"Who said you’re after my money?" Aurora was practically exasperated by him.
Charlotte was a full-time housewife, and the wealth the Ginger Family had accumulated over the years couldn’t compare to Amanda Company’s. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
This point, Aiden understood, and so did Aurora.
But—
She didn’t think Aiden was someone who craved money.
She just... just felt this person was so unreasonable, he didn’t even give her some buffer time at all.
Aurora looked up and glared at him, choosing not to speak anymore.
The attitude seemed to please Aiden, who, though no longer embracing her, kept holding her hand all the way until they got out of the car.
Aurora’s hand was sore from his grip, beyond irritated, with a mix of indescribable emotions, and when she got out of the car, her expression was very peculiar.
Extremely uneasy.
Aiden, however, was evidently in a good mood and naturally entered Cooper Manor.
Seeing Margot, he even greeted her warmly.
Margot was somewhat flattered.
Not surprising for a fifty-year-old man, originally a junior.
Especially with Aiden’s status being consistently high and steadily rising,
Margot had been a bit nervous in the two prior meetings with him.
Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, she saw Aurora and Mia enter one after another.
Both with somewhat peculiar expressions.
After a while, driver Uncle King parked the car and also came in, his demeanor appearing relatively normal.
Everyone entered the hall, Bob Ginger was still outside and hadn’t returned. Aurora had Mia call him, while she took Aiden to the room first. Aiden had just returned to Cloud Capital for a week, with many affairs to handle, so naturally he would rest first at Cooper Manor, which would make managing personal matters more convenient.
The two reached the room.
Aiden placed the suitcase down, and Aurora glanced around with a smile, "The sheets and duvet covers are all newly changed, bathrobes and sleepwear are in the wardrobe, well, do you want to take a shower first?"
"No rush." Aiden said.
Aurora looked up at him, only to be directly pulled into his embrace by his outstretched hand.
Aiden, looking at her face suddenly changing color, chuckled lowly, "The color of your lipstick, I really like it."
"You! Mmm!"
