The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar!-Chapter 79: Nina Vance
Her steps were big, deliberately moving toward Miles Wallace.
Miles glanced over and saw Maya Monroe raising an eyebrow at him, her beautiful eyes filled with mockery, looking as if she was about to whistle.
[Miles’s official girlfriend: Ahhhh what’s Maya doing, stay away from my husband!]
[Miles is a beauty: Why is Maya Monroe moving closer to my husband, is she trying to stir up rumors again? I knew she could never change her nasty habits!]
[Goo goo goo: Maya Monroe is doomed!]
[Mysterious Spicy Stick:...Miles’s fans don’t need to be so uptight, can’t people move a bit if their foot falls asleep?]
[Maya: Supporting the sisters in front, I’ve seen many interviews with Maya, she’s just a careless sweetheart, Miles’s fans shouldn’t overthink it.]
The host raised the microphone: "First, let me introduce myself. I’m the guide for the ’Great Survival Challenge,’ and you’ll have me with you in every episode. It looks like our five regular guests are all here. You should be familiar with the program rules; each episode features a special guest. Let’s welcome our special guest for this episode, the sixth guest, Nina Vance!"
Nina Vance walked in from the entrance; she’s a rising star with a sweet look and dimples when she smiles.
Finally, the host loudly announced, "We’re about to head to our destination!"
Maya Monroe boarded the plane with the other guests, supposedly a journey of one or two hours.
This was the least-watched time for viewers, as no one liked the boring and dull commute phase.
Jessica Young seemed to harbor hostility toward Maya Monroe, shooting unfriendly looks at her more than once.
Maya remembered Jessica Young’s persona still seemed to follow a gentle route, reflecting on how chaotic these circles are, she brutally said, "What’s with the staring, do you have epilepsy? Why roll your eyes for no reason?"
She didn’t care how the audience would perceive her, hoping they’d hate her for her fiery temper and fierce scolding.
[I wish: Suddenly feeling Maya Monroe is so sassy! Just now Jessica Young was indeed rolling her eyes and staring at Maya Monroe. If it were me being stared at like this, I would’ve flipped the table long ago!]
[Softly saying: Our Jessica is famously good-tempered, has no enmity with Maya Monroe, why would she be unkind to her? Don’t speak nonsense if you don’t know!]
[Burp: Jessica Young indeed rolled her eyes, not just once]
[Never Collapse: Maya Monroe’s temper is indeed a bit explosive, but Jessica Young was quite impolite! Who rolls their eyes at someone else like that?]
Maya Monroe was oblivious to this as she figured the viewers must be cursing her, the more the merrier, hoping this scandal would make her trend, reviving the glory of the original master.
Jessica Young didn’t expect Maya Monroe would openly say it like this, her animosity toward Maya was undoubtedly due to not successfully snatching a certain opportunity.
"Just because you said I was rolling my eyes, I was?"
Who knew Maya Monroe would play so unpredictably: "Yes, because I said so, you are!"
The assertiveness and pride in her tone left Jessica Young unsure of how to respond.
Jamie Miller felt slightly troubled too. Having been a veteran in variety shows and dealing with sticky situations wasn’t new to him; artists bickering was common, but such overt expression was rare.
Still, Jamie Miller lightened the atmosphere, shifting the topic: "I heard we have to live for two days and a night in an unknown environment; it sounds like quite a challenge!"
Justin Morgan asked at this, "An unknown environment? What environment? I remember watching the first episode of ’Great Survival Challenge,’ where guests had to survive in a tropical rainforest for two days and a night; it sounded incredible..."
Justin Morgan knew quite a bit about variety shows’ considerations, like speaking up as much as possible without post-production editing in live shows, which naturally helps build presence, potentially attracting fans readily.
Jamie Miller speculated, "I don’t know the environment, but based on the last episode, this time’s location might be as challenging as the tropical rainforest."
Maya Monroe suddenly recalled what Ryan Spencer forced her to pay attention to on the ’Great Survival Challenge’ official account, the words spoken during an official announcement flashed through her mind, almost instantaneously determining the destination of this journey.
Deserted Island.
Mad, it really is a deserted island?! Maya banished the subconscious guess from her mind; it can’t be such a coincidence, right?
If it were some other environment, Maya might find some freshness and challenge fun, but a deserted island... besides reminiscent of the tough times eating wild fruits and gnawing on tree bark, what else is there?!
Maya sighed inwardly, deciding to wait till she reaches the destination.
Regarding this rotten variety show, Maya already had a plan; this show doesn’t appear in the plot, meaning Maya can act freely, and acting freely means she can keep muddling through these few episodes.
In Miles Wallace’s mind was Claire Brooks’s instruction to speak more on the show and establish a good persona, but everything around was too noisy, so he frowned slightly and finally put on headphones, immersing himself completely in the world of music.
Beside Maya sat the special guest Nina Vance, continuously gazing at her with bright eyes. Nina Vance has puppy eyes, making her appear particularly cute when gazing at someone.
Maya paused for a moment, "Why are you staring at me?"
Nina Vance blinked, revealing dimples as she smiled, "I’ve watched the drama you starred in; your performance was really impressive!"
Considering it’s a variety show, Nina Vance did not mention other dramas by name.
Maya was surprised someone appreciated her absurd acting: "Thanks."
Nina Vance then began chatting with her, "Do you think our task will be difficult? Surviving in a harsh environment doesn’t seem particularly easy..."
Maya raised an eyebrow, "Are you scared?"
Nina Vance was quite straightforward: "A bit... I’ve never participated in a survival variety show, but I heard ’Survival Challenge’ isn’t all about wilderness survival; only the first few episodes are to make an impression, later on it won’t be in deserted places. But I’m still a little worried..."
As she spoke, Nina Vance took out a toy from her backpack, a life-size SpongeBob. SpongeBob showed two big teeth, looking cute yet silly.
Nina Vance hugged SpongeBob to her chest, mumbling, "I must bring it with me when I go out; I hope SpongeBob can bring me good luck..."
