The Tempting Educated Youth Married to a Rough Man-Chapter 51: Underground Prison
In Wang Man’s house, there’s a secret mechanism. In the kitchen, there’s a cupboard for bowls and chopsticks, filled with various items. The upper layer contains bowls and plates, while the lower layer holds rice and miscellaneous grains.
Half-used, dusty, standing inconspicuously in the corner.
Wang Man put Wen Ran down, leaned against the wall, and stood up, still complaining, "This kid looks skinny, but isn’t light at all."
Wen Ran: "..."
Damn it!
Just you wait.
Xi Yang was even less gentle, putting Xiao Chenye down from his shoulder, leaning him against the wall, letting him fall limply and making a loud bang.
Wang Man: "!"
She widened her eyes, gritting her teeth, "Could you be gentler? This boy only had a couple of drinks, and if you drop him awake, it’ll be troublesome."
Xi Yang rolled his eyes indifferently, "Even if he wakes up, in his dazed state, do you think he could beat me?"
Wang Man exhaled, too lazy to argue with him, "Do as you please."
She bent down, triggered the mechanism on the cupboard, which creaked open to reveal a dark hole.
"Come on, hand them over to me."
Xi Yang first moved Wen Ran over, unable to resist, and reached out to touch her waist a couple of times.
Seeing Xi Yang’s increasingly unscrupulous hand, Wang Man said melancholically, "Xi Yang, you’re bound to die at the hands of a woman."
Xi Yang laughed, smoothly caressing Wen Ran’s cheek, then handed her over, "Haven’t you heard the old saying? ’If you die under a peony, you’ll still be charming as a ghost.’
"Tch!"
Wen Ran felt herself being placed into a large basket, she held still, not daring to move. Soon after, Xiao Chenye was also placed down, landing right on her. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
One lay half-tilted, while the other was covered head-down.
Wen Ran: "."
Can’t take it, being crushed to death.
Xiao Chenye, with his broad shoulders and narrow waist, how is he so heavy?
"Hey! No, can’t do."
Wang Man shouted, "Don’t crush her to death."
Xi Yang took a look, "It’s fine."
"Switch quickly!"
Xi Yang: "..."
The final stance was Xiao Chenye at the bottom of the big basket, with Wen Ran placed on top of him. The two of them snuggled together, placed right at the bottom.
In such hot weather, the bottom indeed felt cold and damp.
Especially the discomfort in the mind, an indescribable sense of oppression.
Wen Ran couldn’t help but frown, unbeknownst to her, Xiao Chenye was nearly blushing bright red.
She, she’s so small, just lying on top of him, so intimately...
Xiao Chenye’s mind was in turmoil.
Wen Ran knew nothing, her mind still spinning rapidly, thinking about ways to escape, feeling more cowardly the more she thought, eventually giving up in despair. Forget it.
If worst comes to worst, at the last moment, just solve everything violently.
Wang Man and Xi Yang also came down, each dragging someone, twisting and turning in the underground.
It took less than three minutes to reach their destination.
"Alright, we’re here."
Wang Man opened a cage and tossed Wen Ran in, still warning the people inside, "No one is to touch this person, and if anyone dares to misbehave, I’ll cut off your food supply."
The anticipated pain never came; Wen Ran fell onto straw.
Dark, damp.
Until there was a creak and the lock fell shut, with two sets of footsteps, one deep and one shallow, fading away, Wen Ran finally slowly opened her eyes.
Darkness.
Couldn’t see a thing.
After a while, she could barely make out shapes in the darkness.
"Are you okay?"
A voice sounded beside her, Wen Ran swallowed, weakly whispering, "Where is this?"
"You’ve been captured."
Now that someone spoke, small noises slowly began to arise.
Wen Ran propped herself up, taking stock of her surroundings.
It was horrendous, hard to describe, stinking to high heaven, dark and wet.
"Xiao Wen!"
Xiao Chenye suddenly spoke, startling Wen Ran. She was dumbfounded, "You’re okay?"
She thought Xiao Chenye had been compromised too.
Xiao Chenye sounded more thrilled, "I’m okay; I’ve traveled around quite a bit, so I’ve come across things like this more often."
Then, Xiao Chenye hesitated for a moment, "But, how did you..."
Wen Ran: "..."
How was she supposed to answer that?
"Alright, let’s not talk about this now, we should figure out a way to get out of here."
"Okay."
Suddenly, a voice eerily echoed, "You still think about getting out after coming here? I don’t know whether to say you’re truly naive."
"What do you mean?"
In the darkness, a slim figure of a woman stood up, fiddling with the massive lock, mockingly, "You want to get out? Have you asked it yet?"
Wen Ran didn’t know why, but suddenly that voice sounded familiar, though she couldn’t recall where from.
She ignored the discouraging words, taking things from her pocket in the dark, pretending.
"Phew phew phew~"
With three puffs, a glimmer of light suddenly appeared in the dark environment.
It was Wen Ran’s doing, a flint.
In the dark, closed space, flickering with grace.
All at once, the enclosed space stirred, Wen Ran quickly said, "Everyone quiet down, making noise doesn’t help us now."
"If you can bring in fire, can you send me home too?"
Speaking was a small child, his hair messy, holding back tears, "I’ve been caught here for days, I miss my parents."
Wen Ran’s heart softened, she whispered softly, "We will, we will all go home. Don’t cry, we’ll figure something out."
With the flint, she moved to the edge of the cage, "Fifth Brother! Where are you?"
The light from the flint was faint, showing only a few cages close by. Suddenly, a pair of hands appeared diagonally, "Here!"
"Do you have a way to get out?"
She didn’t want to reveal her strength until absolutely necessary.
After all, having great strength and having really great strength, there’s still a bit of a difference!
Breaking iron cages and such, sounds terrifying.
"I can."
Xiao Chenye, having traveled around for many years, picked up a few tricks following Xiao Chengguang, he knew his righteous stuff.
And he knew some of the shady stuff too.
He retrieved a wire from who knows where and, using Wen Ran’s dim light as a guide, started fiddling with the lock.
Wen Ran focused intensely, tension gripping her midair, as the person next to her started flaunting their presence again.
"Heh~ bragging here, can he really do it, haven’t seen you unlock it for ages!"
In her busy state, Wen Ran threw a glance, "Can you shut up?"
"Nope."
Wen Ran gauged the distance between herself and that person, speaking kindly, "Can you come over here a bit?"
The woman looked wary, "What do you want to do?"
Wen Ran smiled without answering, and the woman couldn’t resist, moving closer, "What do you want to say?"
Wen Ran didn’t utter a word, raising her hand with a loud slap.
"Slap~"
There was a moment of silence in the scene.
Wen Ran lowered her voice and threatened, "If you keep blabbering, I’ll tear your mouth off!"
She had a sense of justice, and a sense of morality, but these traits weren’t there for others to use against her for moral coercion.
If it made her uncomfortable, she’d toss it anytime.
She’d just do it!
"You..."
Wen Ran silently raised her palm, and the woman instantly fell silent.
