Chapter 106: I Was Hungry Again

As Su Yan bade farewell to Madam Su, she whispered, โ€œMum, just think about it. Have another child with father.โ€

Without waiting for Madam Suโ€™s reply, she pulled Gu Ruoyun and ran. ๐’‡๐‘Ÿ๐ž๐žw๐ž๐‘๐™ฃ๐‘œvโ„ฏl.co๐‘š

Madam Su was left shouting from behind, โ€œSlow down, donโ€™t fall.โ€

After they had gone far away, she laughed and scolded, โ€œThis child.โ€

Gu Ruoyun also followed Su Yanโ€™s movements. Su Yan ran far away and giggled, โ€œDo you know what I just said to my mother?โ€

Gu Ruoyun cooperated and revealed a curious expression, asking, โ€œWhat did you say?โ€

Su Yan leaned close to his ear and said, โ€œI said to let her and my father have another child.โ€

Gu Ruoyunโ€™s eyes darkened and said, โ€œOh, is that so?โ€

He picked Su Yan up and said, โ€œAre you hinting that I should speed up as well?โ€

Su Yan did not understand what he meant. When she finally reacted, she threw a punch at him.

โ€œWhat are you thinking about? Put me down.โ€

Gu Ruoyun smiled and immediately carried her into the carriage.

Su Yan carefully looked around and only relaxed when she did not see anyone.

What she did not know was that after the two of them left, Old Master Su and Master Su came out from behind the bushes at the side. They looked at their backs and sighed, โ€œYanโ€™erโ€™s marriage to His Royal Highness is not bad.โ€

Master Su nodded in agreement.

The one whom they had looked down on the most had instead become Su Yanโ€™s good husband. It was a good thing that they had not insisted on it.

On that day, Master Su had noticed the marks on Su Yanโ€™s neck the moment they had returned. That was why he had been looking for trouble with Gu Ruoyun, displeased with him.

However, he was still satisfied with this son-in-law in his heart.

Upon returning to the imperial residence, Su Yan rubbed her hungry belly and said, โ€œIโ€™m hungry. I want to eat grilled fish.โ€

Gu Ruoyun looked at her belly. It had indeed become flat.

However, when he thought about how her stomach had bulged in the afternoon, he was still worried and rubbed it with his hand to make sure that there was no accumulation of food. Only then did he feel at ease. fre๐‘’๐˜ธ๐šŽ๐š‹nเซฆัตโ„ฏl.c๐’๐˜ฎ

Su Yan blushed at his actions and said angrily, โ€œWhat do you mean by this? Are you complaining that Iโ€™ve eaten too much?โ€

Gu Ruoyun replied, โ€œThe imperial residence can afford to feed you no matter how much you eat.โ€

Su Yan scoffed softly and said, โ€œI just want to eat until youโ€™re poor.โ€

Gu Ruoyun smiled, โ€œJust donโ€™t eat until youโ€™re too full.โ€

He then instructed the kitchen to prepare a grilled fish. Su Yan then added, โ€œAnd a shredded sweet potato.โ€

Gu Ruoyun looked at Su Yan and said with a strange expression, โ€œIโ€™ve raised a little pig.โ€

Su Yan pounced on him and covered his mouth, โ€œIf youโ€™re not willing to raise me, Iโ€™ll look for my father.โ€

Gu Ruoyun took her hand and begged for mercy, โ€œHow would I dare? I canโ€™t wait to take care of you for the rest of my life.โ€

The two of them argued for a while. Su Yan nestled in his arms, rubbed her belly, and sighed.

Gu Ruoyun asked, โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€

Su Yan replied, โ€œItโ€™s all your fault. Iโ€™m even hungrier now.โ€

She then pinched the flesh on her belly. It was indeed a little more than before. She said resentfully, โ€œIf I gain weight, will you not like me anymore? Then youโ€™ll find and take concubines. Iโ€™ll have to stay alone in an empty roomโ€ฆโ€

Gu Ruoyun saw that she was getting more and more depressed as she spoke. He cut her off helplessly and said, โ€œYou little girl, what are you thinking about all day?โ€

Su Yan sat up and looked into his eyes. She said seriously, โ€œGu Ruoyun, if you donโ€™t like me anymore, you must tell me. I wonโ€™t pester you.โ€

Gu Ruoyunโ€™s face darkened and said, โ€œDonโ€™t say such things anymore. Donโ€™t even think about leaving me for the rest of your life.โ€

Su Yan retorted indignantly, โ€œYouโ€™re saying this because you like me now. If you donโ€™t like me anymore, youโ€™ll change how you behave.โ€

Gu Ruoyun was almost angered to the point of laughing. โ€œI havenโ€™t even done anything yet and youโ€™ve already convicted me?โ€
