Chapter 104: Ian and Grand Elder’s Reunited

The walls of the Blood Empire shook lightly with the force of Ian’s voice. It didn’t take long before the Grand Elder arrived, rushing into the throne room. His long robe fluttered behind him, and his hair had turned completely white, though his face looked no older than before.

"Ian... Is that really you?" the Grand Elder said, his voice cracking with emotion.

Ian smiled faintly. "Yes. It’s been a long time."

The Grand Elder stepped forward, then paused. Ian narrowed his eyes. With his Tri-Vision Eyes and True Mind’s Eye, he could see deeper than what the naked eye could. That was when he noticed it.

A huge, dormant power was hidden within the Grand Elder’s heart. It wasn’t just any power, it was divine ki, the type only True Gods possessed. But the Grand Elder didn’t even seem aware of it.

Ian blinked. "Grand Elder... Do you know that you have divine ki sealed inside you?"

"What?" The Grand Elder looked confused. "That’s not possible. I’ve never felt anything like that."

Ian stood up and walked closer. "Let me show you."

He placed his hand over the Grand Elder’s chest and let his angelic energy flow. It was pure, glowing, and stable. As the energy seeped into the Grand Elder’s body, a sudden burst of light exploded from within.

The Grand Elder cried out as power surged through his veins. The divine ki, once dormant, bloomed like a fire set free. His aura flared, shaking the walls even harder than before.

"What... is this power?" he whispered, overwhelmed.

Ian smiled. "You’ve stepped into the level of True Gods. This power was always inside you. I just helped you unlock it."

"But why was it hidden?"

The Grand Elder looked at Ian, both in awe and confusion.

With a sigh, the Grand Elder spoke slowly, "A long time ago, I used a technique to connect myself to the Blood Empire and you automatically become a part of the system after you agreed to be the king. The stronger and more prosperous the Empire becomes, the stronger I grow in return. Since you became king and your power grew, I also unknowingly received that growth."

"So, I’ve been feeding your strength all this time," Ian said with a raised brow.

The Grand Elder nodded. "I didn’t expect the boost to be this massive. It was my own fault for not noticing. And I apologize for only telling you now." He sighed.

He looked down at his hands, then back at Ian. "But you... how strong are you now?"

Ian chuckled lightly. "Stronger than the Grand Devil."

The Grand Elder tilted his head. "What’s a Grand Devil?"

Ian paused, then answered in simple words, "Let’s say... It’s someone who is one of the strongest beings in the God Realm, specifically, the mother of Devils. And I may already have surpassed that."

The Grand Elder’s eyes widened, speechless.

Ian placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don’t worry. From now on, no one will dare harm this Empire again."

"No wonder I received such feedback that directly propelled me to the power level of True Gods in your mouth... I wonder how strong True Gods are? How strong am I now?"

Hearing this, Ian willingly answered. "True Gods can definitely destroy a Universe if they exhaust all their energy. However, doing so would cause the Grand Devil to personally kill you, so don’t even attempt such a thing..."

’Damn, am I that strong now!?’

Grand Elder took a deep breath. "How strong is the Grand Devil exactly?"

Ian scratched his chin. "She’s the Mother of Devils. You have to know that even the weakest Devil could annihilate all True Gods. At the very least, the Grand Devil can destroy multiple universes with little to no effort."

"And you’re saying you surpassed her." The Grand Elder asked cautiously, his heart stirred.

No wonder he receives such massive feedback! He also felt surreal that he gained the powers of the so-called True Gods in Ian’s mouth at the level of single-universe destruction. He was ignorant all this time that the feedback power had accumulated within his heart. No one can blame him though...

After all, Ian hasn’t returned for almost 5,000 and so years. If not for the initial portion of power feedback that he received from Ian. He would have thought Ian had already perished in the God Realm. Also, he didn’t expect the feedback would be secretly stored in his heart.

The Grand Elder asked Ian about this.

Ian smiled. "Divine Ki isn’t something mortal could access or even sense. Since you’re a mortal, even though you received the feedback, the Divine Ki had nowhere to go since you can’t even sense its existence, so it might be the reason why it went to your heart instead for later access." As Ian said this, he let his words sink into the Grand Elder. "And it needs to be catalyzed by someone who has mastered Divine Ki to help you stimulate it so you’ll be able to finally have access and sense it... And that’s why I managed to help you tap it."

The Grand Elder was stunned at this. "Damn... Why haven’t you returned sooner than?"

"A lot of things happened in the God Realm, and it’s a long story." Ian spread his hands helplessly with a bitter smile. ’Should I tell him I’ve guarded the Entire North of the Universe? Trained Under a Devil to eventually become a Devil, and even got entangled by a Time Vortex?’ He chuckled inwardly, truly, too many things happened.

"So, how’s the Blood Empire faring? Also, how did two of my friends die?"

"It’s like this..."

Grand Elder and Ian talked for a while regarding Kate and Liz’s death, the situation of Blood Empire and Imperium, and the hidden conspiracies of leader of Dar Races that had rebeled after vanishing.

"That’s how it is... tch..." Ian clicked his tongue after he heard Kate and Liz had died trying to protect his name after the leaders of the Dark Races began to tarnish his reputation, saying he had abandoned the Imperium.

Kate and Liz died for his sake. Ian felt angry at this and the stupidity of the two. However, he was also moved by their loyalty. ’It seems the only way to resurrect them faster is to ask Suelo. Mastering my angelic powers and returning to the Great Old One’s prime would take time even for me.’
