Chapter 100: The Great Old One and the Arch Angel Race

Ian stood still, eyes wide, as the golden mist sank deeper into his skin. His head hurt. It was like being hit by a mountain, then struck by lightning, then dropped into the sea. But he did not fall. He just stood his ground. He had chosen this.

The power that came with the merge was not just strength. It was knowledge. And not just random facts or spells, he now knew what he was, why he existed, and even hints about the real shape of the world. His chest rose and fell, heavy with shock, but also with something else... It was damn peace.

"So this... is my true self..." Ian whispered, his voice low, almost unsure.

He now understood that he was no longer just the Ian from Earth or the Ian of this vampire world. He was something more. Something deeper, older, greater.

The Great Old One! He was the reincarnation of a being that had reached a boundless power level! A taboo being among taboos.

He looked at his hands. They glowed faintly, golden veins pulsing under his pale skin, almost like sacred tattoos. His heart thumped like a drum. He felt like he could tear the sky with a shout, split the land with a glare, and yet... he felt calm. Strong, but steady.

A voice echoed inside his mind. It was no longer the old version of him, but a soft trace of it. "The rest is up to you now. You must walk forward."

Then, silence.

Ian stood alone in that space, the dreamscape slowly fading around him. The world turned gray, then black, then light again.

He woke up.

Ian opened his eyes.

He was back in his room. But it wasn’t the same room anymore. The air was different. It felt clearer. Thicker. The walls looked sharper, the light more colorful, more alive. He blinked a few times. Was it always like this? It feels like the blue is bluer, the green is greener, and the red is redder. It was damn strange like looking at a kaleidoscope.

He stood up and looked in the mirror.

Gone was the usual face he had come to know. His eyes now had golden rings around the irises. His skin, once pale, now looked smoother and stronger. A strange symbol flickered lightly on his chest, it looked like a broken circle, now whole again.

Then, a ding echoed in his mind.

Ian smiled. "So it’s real... All of it."

Ian stood with his arms crossed, breathing slowly. The numbers, the names, the titles, they were not just damned words. They were true. His truth. He could feel the power in his bones, blood, and soul. Once super calm and quiet, the room around him began to shake like a fried washing machine. Every corner of the space seemed to tremble with light.

He held out his hand. Golden lines formed in the air without effort. A strange web of light, alive and pulsing, stretched between his fingers.

"So this is... the upgraded Sensory Web," he whispered. He didn’t need to ask what it did; his mind knew. It could see all movement, all matter, all life in the world around him. Even the tiniest bug hiding in the walls, even the ants in the ground below. The web gave him a perfect sense of space. Nothing could hide. Of course, there are no ants or bugs in the God Realm.

He blinked. At once, another vision layered over the first. It was his Tri-Vision Eye. He could now see in three different ways at once: normal sight, soul sight, and divine essence. Layers of truth stacked over the world, and he saw them all clearly.

And then, his True Mind’s Eye opened. Not with light, but with thought. It let him think of thousands of things in one second. He could see every weakness in the air, predict what would happen next with perfect logic, and even reflect on the nature of time and space like a god.

He stepped outside.

The sky above shattered lightly. His foot touched the ground, and the clouds split. The wind stopped moving. The grass bent low, as if bowing to him.

Far, far away in the vast God Realm...

The Grand Devil sat on her dark throne, sipping red wine.

Suddenly, her hand froze. Her body tensed. Her eyes widened. "What... is this?" she gasped.

She tried to trace the source. Just one attempt.

But she failed.

Her head spun, blood rushed from her nose, and she fainted on the spot, her body levitated beneath her fall.

On her side, a silhouette appeared. Main God Suelo stared at the Grand Devil’s unconscious state quietly. The skies around his floating palace stilled. He felt the tremble of something new. A power so strong, it stood just one league below his own.

He did not move. He did not try to trace it.

Instead, he sighed. "So it has begun," he whispered. "Who would have known... Kratos, you are finally about to taste your own medicine." He grinned widely.

From many lands across the divine plane, True Gods and Devils felt the quake. Their palaces shook. Great oceans froze. Mountains split. They looked to the skies, confused. None could sense where it came from. But all felt it, pure power, beyond reason.

Even their Devil Attendants, beings stronger than them, felt small.

In the Shattered Plane, Adam’s eyes narrowed. He stared at the sky above, as if he had just missed something important.

"...Ian?" he whispered, then laughed and shook his head. "No. It can’t be. Not even he would reach that level... right?" Then he thought of Ian’s monstrous talent and he became unsure. "I mean, he certainly can, but this soon? Impossible..." he shrugged as he dismissed his absurd thoughts.

Still, his hand trembled slightly.

He wasn’t sure anymore.
