The Strongest Beast Tamer With the Strongest System-Chapter 53: White Element
"What is it?" the woman asked when she noticed him staring.
"By the way, what exactly is the white element ability of the White Element Peacock?" Leonardo asked.
For something like this, he could simply ask her directly. It was also a good chance to shift Margaret’s attention, since she was clearly curious about what he had been reading.
"The White Element is a supportive power used on others," Margaret replied. "Something like the buff you use on your monsters. The other elements, such as White Lightning or White Wind, are just mediums that deliver the White Element."
"What about Thousand White Eyes? Are they just mediums too?"
"They are still eyes," Margaret answered, "but they can detach from the peacock—or from you if you borrow the ability. They can be used to see, and they can also deliver the White Element."
"However, controlling a single eye requires 10 Intelligence from you or the peacock. If you don’t have enough Intelligence, they’re nothing more than decorations on the peacock’s tail—or on yours."
"Not bad," Leonardo said.
This ability was definitely useful. For him, it only needed to be upgraded to a higher class to make it far more efficient.
While they were talking, more students began entering the library. Even though they pretended to read, it was obvious they were curious about Leonardo and Margaret suddenly being together.
Soon, Elsa and Mary also arrived. Their expressions looked even more shocked than the others.
"Don’t you want to greet your friends?" Leonardo asked Margaret, glancing toward Elsa and Mary.
Margaret frowned slightly before waving at them, signaling them to come over.
They were shocked again but still approached the table. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"One of you, go buy two cups of hot coffee from the cafeteria," Margaret said casually.
Leonardo already knew that nothing good usually came from Margaret’s mouth, but he remained silent.
He actually wanted coffee anyway.
In front of Margaret, the two girls couldn’t show any anger. They only pretended to be surprised—though in truth they really were.
"Margaret... is there something going on between the two of you?" Elsa asked curiously.
"Isn’t it obvious?" Margaret replied.
But that answer wasn’t clear at all. After all, "something" between them could mean many things.
Elsa realized she couldn’t ask further.
"I’ll buy it. Do you want milk in it?" she asked before leaving.
"Yes, add milk," Margaret answered.
"Let me help. Elsa’s hands might not be enough to carry two hot cups," Mary said with a smile before quickly following Elsa.
They had actually been arguing earlier.
But after arriving at school and hearing that Leonardo and Margaret were together, they immediately forgot their fight just to see whether it was true.
"What’s going on?" Mary asked Elsa as they walked toward the cafeteria.
"How would I know?" Elsa replied while glancing back toward the library. "But don’t they look like two people who might start dating?"
Mary nodded instinctively, though her brows knitted together.
"Is that even possible?"
"Something must have happened. Let’s just watch how they interact later. But my instincts really say that’s what it looks like."
"Hard to believe. Anderson should hate Margaret."
"Hate can disappear. But what man wouldn’t be tempted by a beautiful woman? That bitch might be extremely annoying, but she’s the most beautiful woman I know. Even my father and grandfather always smile brightly when they see her—as if they want to lick her vagina."
"..."
Both of them walked faster toward the cafeteria.
At this hour, the cafeteria was usually crowded. The food there was cheap but highly nutritious because it was subsidized by wealthy families whose children studied at the school.
Poor students almost always ate breakfast there.
Even so, Elsa and Mary returned as quickly as they left.
If they didn’t want to queue, no one would dare block them.
Although Mary had offered to help, Elsa still carried both cups and placed one in front of Leonardo and the other in front of Margaret.
Without expression, Leonardo drank the coffee and continued reading.
He didn’t feel like talking anymore.
"Why are you two still here? Do you want to watch us?" Margaret suddenly snapped at Elsa and Mary.
The two girls were still standing beside their table, which of course looked strange.
They became awkward after being scolded before they could even say anything.
"Margaret, maybe you need help with something else," Mary said.
"Right... or maybe you want a recommendation for a good place," Elsa added.
Mary glanced at her strangely, as if asking what she meant by a "good place."
"What do you mean?" Margaret asked.
"Places that... provide entertainment," Elsa replied with a small laugh. "I’ll send you some later."
After saying that, she left.
Mary followed her but looked at her curiously.
"Why do you look so happy if they start dating?"
"I think it’s good," Elsa said. "That way that bitch will focus only on her love life."
"I don’t think it’ll be that simple... She probably just wants to use Anderson."
"Maybe yes, maybe no. Margaret isn’t that kind of woman. She values herself more than anything. Without special feelings, she would never give herself to a man—or she would’ve done it long ago."
"Maybe she wants to use Anderson, but she also wants that kind of relationship with him."
"Well, Anderson isn’t stupid either. He must have his own plans."
"This whole situation is ridiculous..." Mary sighed.
"That’s their business. Anyway, I should send Margaret some good places for dates," Elsa said while typing on her phone.
Not long after, Margaret received the message.
She read it with a frown.
Then her expression darkened as she began typing furiously.
(Bitch, who do you think I am? I don’t need these stupid places!)
The suggestions included a cinema showing erotic romance films, karaoke rooms that allowed sex and provided drugs, and similar places.
A woman who always wanted to appear elegant and respectable like Margaret would never go to such places.
Meanwhile, another figure made Leonardo shift his gaze away from the computer.
He could feel the person’s presence immediately the moment they arrived.
Thomas Harper.
Of course.
There was no way he wouldn’t come to see Leonardo standing together with Margaret with his own eyes.
