The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 78: Fighting the Ogre
[Oho, now that’s a big one,] Evangeline remarked with a whistle, causing Neraxis’s brows to furrow.
This is no laughing matter. I have ten minutes to kill all these monsters, as well as the Ogre, but I— He suddenly froze as he remembered one of his skill effects.
Crimson Sovereignty’s third skill effect, Blood Sovereignty, allowed him to create blood constructs, and it did not specify a limit.
Therefore, Neraxis immediately turned toward the pile of corpses scattered in the middle of the arena and used that skill.
Soon, the blood began levitating off the ground and quickly formed into a single blob.
The moment that happened, Neraxis felt as though he had complete control over the levitating blood and, without waiting further, imagined the blood pooling itself into the shape of goblins.
He was shocked at the rate at which it was forming, since in just a few seconds, it was all over.
[10x Blood Constructs Summoned! Type: Combat—Goblin Swordsman]
The red system message fell, signifying the success of the skill.
However, the sensation was a bit odd. It was almost like there was an extra 10 people connected to him, which he soon commanded to attack the nearby monsters.
The red goblins he created dashed, and as they did, swords formed in their hands as they attacked the nearby monsters with great fervor.
Perfect. I can cut myself some slack now, Neraxis nodded to himself.
It was definitely a good skill, but due to his rank or something else entirely, the efficiency was not great, as he was only able to summon 10 blood constructs from over 200 corpses.
Nonetheless, he proceeded with the hard part: the boss monster ahead of him, which had been staring at him as though he were a dead man.
But in the end, Neraxis was confident in being able to kill him, since, after all, he still had the Mark of Destruction.
Therefore, Neraxis decided not to waste any time. A mob like this was at the very least D+ ranked, but since the difficulty was increased, C- rank was not completely out of his expectations.
Using Sword Dash, he appeared in front of the Ogre, and before he could even finish swinging his sword, a boulder came flying at him from the two Troll Scouts by the side.
He did not give up, however, as he swiftly made his way toward one of the Troll Scouts and soon used Mark of Destruction on it.
A completely black-and-silver orb appeared, and Neraxis took this chance to reach maximum stacks.

It was not a difficult challenge to avoid its attack, yet he was constantly wary of the Ogre behind him, which was slowly approaching as if taunting him.
But in the end, it was perfect, since that gave him the chance to do a clean sweep of the area.
As soon as Neraxis reached maximum stacks of Decaying and completely severed all of the Troll Scout’s limbs, he moved onto the next one.
A few attacks fell on him, such as the Dire Wolves dashing toward him and trying to bite his head off.
However, they too were met with a precise slash of the sword that hit or even grazed their vitals.
Nonetheless, it was enough to kill all of them.
Blood started getting into his eyes, but just before it became a problem, Evangeline pushed it away.
Thank you, he expressed before finally arriving in front of the other Troll Scout.
Neraxis quickly marked it and began stacking up his attacks while nimbly dodging the aggressive punches being sent at him.
The Swordsmanship skill was really shining currently, since he couldn’t imagine himself reaching such a swinging speed regularly, and it was even more ridiculous since it kept increasing.
That was until the stacks accumulated to the maximum in just 10 seconds. Meanwhile, the other Troll Scout still had roughly 28 seconds remaining on its stacks.
This meant Neraxis was still on time.
Quickly cutting off the Troll Scout’s limbs, he turned toward the Ogre, who by now had broken off a part of the arena and held it as though it were some sort of club.
Yet Neraxis did not have time to admire it, as he immediately began running toward it.
However, the moment he got within its swinging range, the Ogre attacked with the club.
But to his utter surprise, it did not swing it. Instead, it was sent flying right at him.
And just as it was about to hit Neraxis, he recalled his remaining 10 Blood Goblins, which quickly reduced the brunt of the attack, giving him enough time to dodge.
At the same time, he used Mark of Destruction, and with 21 seconds remaining for the first Troll, he had to act fast.
Using Stellar Dominion’s Cosmic Cascade, the entire area was lit up in an aurora-like fashion, and soon, it made impact with the Ogre’s body.
Even then, it seemed like it did not deal much damage aside from scorching its body heavily.
Yet Neraxis was not discouraged. He took this time to get closer and began attacking its ankles with various strikes that dealt even more damage due to his new passive Ruin debuff, which made each attack do 1% of unblockable True Damage.
The Ogre did not take this lying down, and soon, it seemingly jumped up in the air.
The moment it did, a frown appeared on Neraxis’s face as he awaited the Ogre’s drop back down onto the ground.
But before it could, he used one of his newer skill effects, Shadow Mantle.
Neraxis seemingly phased through the attack before swiftly striking the Ogre a couple of times and applying the Blinding Curse.
Similar to his Decaying debuff, it had a gray orb circling around its eyes.
It seemed like the Ogre began panicking a little, as it started kicking all over the place, yet just narrowly missed Neraxis.
Right as his Shadow Mantle ended, he took this chance to jump onto its erratic body and immediately use the Simple Horizontal Slash.
Surprisingly, the effects were instantly noticeable as its arm was lopped off, and it was not healing either.
At the same time, he noticed the blood loss quickening, which immediately gave him yet another idea.
Therefore, Neraxis used Vampiric Dominion’s Blood Rend.
It struck directly onto the Ogre’s chest, and soon, blood began spurting out like a fountain from every single open wound.
Yet Neraxis wasn’t finished. He focused his mana into his blackened-out arm until it emitted a faint white glow.
And soon, he swung his arm down, punching a hole through the Ogre’s abdomen while at the same time disintegrating most of its internal organs.
Neraxis nodded in satisfaction before hopping off and paying attention to the Troll Scouts he had dismembered. The first one had just 6 seconds left on its mark.
But what really intrigued him was that both of the Troll Scouts were being dragged over by the nearby monsters.
The Dire Wolves were in the lead, almost in front of him.
However, before they could attack him, Neraxis locked onto a faraway monster—a lone goblin who was too afraid to fight back—and soon used Sword Dash, appearing before it, and decapitating it in an instant.
Only now could he look back at the chaos he had caused, as well as the monsters that had gathered around the Ogre and the two Troll Scouts.
Neraxis took one final deep breath and spoke, "Detonate Mark of Destruction."
