Already!?, Neraxis twisted his body, dodging an incoming kick from one of his classmates.

The battle royale had just started, and already, they were attacking each other—some even teaming up to fight one another.

However, this was also a great chance to see what they were made of.

He already knew the fighting capabilities of some of his classmates; however, there were some he knew nothing about.

It didn’t take long to spot one such person, as he was standing on the edge of the platform, trying his best to hide himself from the fights that were happening.

But Neraxis managed to spot him, steadily making his way while dodging incoming kicks and fists until eventually, he arrived right before his target.

A frail kid, slightly shorter than Neraxis, whose blue eyes gave off a dangerous gleam—practically warning everyone not to mess with him.

However, since this was merely a training exercise, he would not go uncontested.

Neraxis made eye contact with him and, before he could even react, performed a sideways kick, attempting to knock the kid backward and off the platform.

It was a simple yet effective kick, but the blue-eyed kid managed to dodge it seamlessly while, at the same time, sending out a kick of his own.

The problem was—the angle, the strength—it felt exactly like the kick Neraxis had sent out just a moment ago.

Is he mimicking me? This single thought passed through his mind as he evaded in the same manner that the blue-eyed kid did.

Neraxis decided to step up his attempts, kicking off of the ground and stopping right before the kid, before quickly performing a leg sweep.

The blue-eyed kid naturally dodged, but he was expecting that. Using the momentum of the leg sweep, he used his arms to send out a straight kick at the kid’s torso.

To Neraxis’s surprise, the kid grasped his foot and twisted it in the air, nearly breaking it, but due to his low strength, he was unable to.

However, that gave a good estimate of the kid’s abilities, as he had perfect combat awareness, practically seeing how the fight would turn out and what moves Neraxis would make.

Feints don’t work, and speed doesn’t either.

An opponent that could avoid any and all attacks while, at the same time, countering them.

But there’s always a limit. Neraxis thought as he replicated the pattern of attacks he had done previously—just this time, he did them slower.

Immediately, the leg-twist maneuver failed, as the kid could not use the downward momentum, meaning he was basically a sitting duck.

But it did not stop the blue-eyed kid from simply pushing off Neraxis’s leg and nearly falling off the training ground platform, the artificial wind literally holding him up.

"You are pretty nimble," Neraxis couldn’t help but point out, fixing his posture.

"And you are annoying," the blue-eyed kid shot back with a scoff, not moving from his spot.

Hearing this, Neraxis raised an eyebrow. "Really? Is that why you evade instead of attacking? Because I am annoying?"

"Yes," the kid replied, causing Neraxis to let out a sigh before, once again, dashing forward.

This time, he incorporated a slow start, followed by a fast punch, and lastly, a constantly slowing-down kick—which, in the very end, would not even connect with the blue-eyed kid’s body.

That was the plan initially. However, as his fist stretched out, the blue-eyed kid did the same, mimicking his strength and colliding their fists together.

"Going on the attack now?" Neraxis questioned as he sent out a downward kick, which was met in the middle with another downward kick.

"Nope. Can’t you go somewhere else, though? I want a good grade on this."

[He’s pretty shameless, but why don’t you just end the fight? His flaw is lack of experience, as you can probably already tell,] Evangeline commented as Neraxis sent out another kick.

I mean, yeah, but what is the point? He looks like a fun opponent to face. It’s not like I ever faced anyone who could completely read me like a book, he replied with a chuckle.

But it was also no fun simply exchanging blows. That’s why Neraxis decided to use an attack with a slightly different variation.

So far, the blue-eyed copycat had been mimicking his muscle movements, but what would happen if he manipulated his muscles to mask what he was actually doing?

Therefore, he put that to the test with a single jab that immediately made the copycat’s eyes widen. Instead of his usual counterattack, he ducked, dodging the attack.

"What’s wrong?" Neraxis asked teasingly before doing the same with his kick, making the copycat dodge out of the way before sending a back heel straight to his chin.

As good as he was at dodging and negating the damage of an attack, he was unable to do so with this one, being sent tumbling down to the ground, blood dripping from his mouth.

Neraxis walked up and stopped right before him before asking, "What’s your name?"

"...Soren," he replied, spitting out some blood before standing upright and assuming a fighting stance.

However, Neraxis had other plans, as by the side, he saw Raeny staring daggers at him.

Therefore, he simply turned around before saying, "Soren, let’s talk later. Good luck on your grade or whatever."

Raeny’s brows furrowed as she walked up to him and raised her fists. "Do you want to fight?"

"And if I don’t?" Neraxis questioned with an amused look, but before he could receive a reply, a fist headed straight for his face—which he immediately evaded.

At the same time, he grabbed her wrist, and with a single motion, flung her off the platform.

It was an elimination because she went out of bounds.

"Whoops?" He chuckled, watching as her face began growing redder by the moment.

But before she could speak up, Magnus appeared beside her, grabbed her by the collar, and vanished.

Neraxis took this chance to look around, and to his surprise, out of the 20 people who had been present at the start, only 8 remained.

Obviously, Aurelia wasn’t here—she wasn’t exactly a fighter.

However, what surprised him was Aella, who all this time had been swinging her fists, smashing someone’s head in before throwing them off the training ground platform.

"YEAAAAAAAH!" Her shout resounded as she flung her arms into the air in excitement.

But soon enough, Celina appeared with a leg sweep, tugged on her hair, and threw her off the platform, all while shooting Neraxis a small glare.

That was a bit brutal, he thought as a shiver went down his spine.

Six people were left in total now—a decent number when the fighting had only lasted for five minutes at most.

The remaining fighters were Soren, Kael, Celina, Neraxis, and two others he couldn’t recognize.

But if they had the skill—or more likely, luck—to get this far, then they definitely had something up their sleeves.

Or that’s what he was hoping anyway, since if they didn’t, Kael would definitely beat him up for all the times he had lost.

"Neraxis!" Kael’s voice rang out from the side, and upon turning toward it, he saw a massive smile plastered across his face.

"Let’s fight!"
