The SSS Ranked Villain's Return-Chapter 281: Looking for Zaria
Neraxis flew through the sky, his mind a complete mess.
Lar, Bale, Asher, and Alice were dead, Jeremy was innocent, and Zed wasn't even Zed.
The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.
That meant there were only 3 more people left.
There was Leo the swordsman, and a pair of twins.
However, he couldn't get to the twins any time soon, since they didn't actually live in this world.
They were going to arrive through one of the rifts in the future, and if he had to estimate, those twins should appear in around a month or two.
He had mixed feelings about them. They always isolated themselves from the rest of the group.
But in the end, even though they were extremely late, they were still present at the time of his death. After all, from what the Sovereign of Gluttony showed him, they were in the background, then proceeded to be killed by the Eternal Sin.
I couldn't see them in Alice's memories though... I wonder why? Neraxis thought, slightly puzzled.
Nonetheless, he'd think about them later. As for Leo, he was good with the sword, but he was still a weakling.
Therefore, Neraxis would deal with him some other time.
Instead, he focused on finding Zaria.
According to Alice's memories, she lived literally on a completely different continent. The only reason she came here was simply because she was running away from her parents.
She was a rich girl and definitely someone Neraxis wanted to meet.
It was just genuine curiosity. He wasn't even sure if he would feel anything for her.
But aside from that, he focused on trying to locate her house.
However, he immediately faced the first hurdle.
It was nighttime in her continent, which meant he couldn't teleport there for at least the next six hours.
It would take him less than an hour to fly there anyway, so Neraxis did just that as he sped up his pace.
But not even a few moments later, he heard a voice in his head.
[Hey, is everything alright? Your emotions were a little unstable earlier,] Evangeline asked, worried.
Yeah, everything's alright. I just killed Lar and Alice. Also found out some interesting stuff, feel free to dig around my memories later, Neraxis replied nonchalantly.
A moment of silence ensued, but it was soon interrupted by Evangeline's sigh.
[I see... yeah... go find her, I'll keep the girls busy. Good luck,] Evangeline said softly. [Also, congratulations on the revenge. Just a few left, and it's all over.]
The Sovereigns are still left as well, Neraxis added. They're more dangerous than these idiots I've killed. But I'll try my best. See you later, Evangeline.
With that, he focused back on the flight ahead.
He was currently over the ocean, and in the distance, he could finally see some land.
This was the Laventos Continent, and it was much, much bigger than Bralkyr.
Though Bralkyr was considered more of a region due to its size. Even then, there were plenty of powerhouses gathered there.
But of course, Laventos was nothing to scoff at either.
Their population was ten times that of Bralkyr, and most of the remaining rankers were gathered there.
Of course, they had their own Dreamspire, which obviously was connected. After all, there was one per continent.
Neraxis finally arrived and stepped onto the soil.
The breezes from both the ocean and the land were relaxing, almost to the point where he'd prefer to just fall asleep here and now.
But he couldn't, so Neraxis took his one minute of rest and then proceeded forward.
Zaria lived in one of the major cities, Sordana. All of the cities on this continent had weird names, but their technological advancement was more than enough to make Neraxis not underestimate them.
After all, while Bralkyr was scrambling around with virtual reality in its beginning phases, Laventos had already set up entire virtual reality worlds which were accessible by anyone.
They weren't expensive either, so people played games and did other... activities.
But I wonder how Zaria got over to Bralkyr in the first place? Since she's a rich girl, I doubt her parents would just let her take a boat or a plane and simply fly out, Neraxis pondered.
Under normal circumstances, Zaria would have been caught before she could even leave the city. However, she not only managed to leave the city, but she also swam thousands of meters across to Bralkyr.
Safe to say, he was skeptical about what actually happened.
If that bitch Alice didn't mess with my mind, then I'd be able to know... Neraxis thought, trying to recall something.
But all his attempts led to a simple headache, which caused him to groan in pain.
Dud. Again.
He even tried using Destruction to pry open those memories, but it seemed like they were simply sealed away too deeply.
After all, up until today, he had no idea Zaria even existed.
Despite that, Neraxis sent mana toward his hair as he figured out one interesting application of his affinity.
If he sent Destruction toward his hair and eyes, they'd turn black. Frost would make them all white, and obviously Solar would make them golden.
Therefore, he swiftly infused his hair and eyes with the Solar affinity. Immediately, his appearance changed, and as he looked at himself through the Frost mirror, he nodded in satisfaction.
Golden hair and eyes didn't suit him, but at least his white hair and purple eyes no longer stood out.
I could probably use Singularity and combine the colors... but they'll probably think I'm trying too hard, Neraxis thought with a chuckle as he shot back into the sky and began flying toward Sordana.
It wasn't by the coast, nor was it on the other side of the continent. Instead, it was in the very middle of Laventos—a giant city that was probably the size of half of the Bralkyr region.
After 20 minutes of flying, Neraxis finally arrived right above the city.
It was bustling with large skyscrapers, flying blimps, and even several holograms floating around in the sky.
Better yet, there were thousands of flying cars levitating high above, allowing civilians below to walk freely.
He hadn't been here long, but Neraxis already liked this city.
Therefore, it was about time he found Zaria.
