Chapter 34: Chapter 34: The Little Actress

Sean Grant suddenly didn’t quite understand what Leo Grant meant.

"I’ve always considered you as my real brother,

I hope you can always be my real brother."

Leo Grant looked at Sean Grant and slowly spoke, his voice soft.

If possible, he certainly hoped that Sean Grant would always be his brother and always be his family.

"Brother, what are you saying? I’ve always been your brother."

Sean Grant’s voice had a slight jump to it as he slowly spoke.

There was a sincere smile on his face, as if he’d never done anything wrong and had always considered Leo Grant as his real brother.

"Hmm, where’s Mrs. Hayes?"

Leo Grant didn’t plan to continue this topic and glanced around the living room, not seeing Mrs. Hayes.

"Oh, Mrs. Hayes went out to buy a midnight snack for me. I told her not to, but she insisted. It’s from that pastry shop downtown."

Sean Grant said, always fond of the pastries from that old shop in downtown Bexley, which are known to be delicious.

Every time he came to Bexley, he’d go eat there. Both Leo Grant and Mrs. Hayes knew this, and Mrs. Hayes would always enthusiastically buy it for Sean Grant.

Not for any other reason but because Mrs. Hayes thought that Leo Grant and Sean Grant had a good relationship, and she always treated Sean Grant as one of her own.

"Those pastries are very tasty, a century-old brand."

Leo Grant nodded and said, knowing that Sean Grant liked these pastries.

"Brother, who is that little girl?"

Sean Grant was rather curious about the little girl who suddenly appeared beside Leo Grant. She was very pretty and soft-looking.

Sean Grant wondered when Leo Grant became interested in such a type of girl.

"She calls me brother."

Leo Grant didn’t explain much about Holly Sawyer to Sean Grant, just said that one simple sentence.

If they were together, Leo Grant would definitely tell Sean Grant about Holly Sawyer, but it was different now.

"Then she should be my sister too?"

Sean Grant smiled as he spoke, even though he had a lot of guesses about Holly Sawyer in his heart.

His phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket. When he took it out, he saw it was a message from Rosalie Jennings.

Sean Grant frowned slightly, so the little girl that Leo Grant took in was really not simple?

That was indeed quite interesting.

"Brother, there are rumors, don’t you have any doubts about the girl’s mysterious origin?"

Sean Grant asked as he looked at Leo Grant, genuinely curious in his heart.

Many people actually knew about the little girl near Leo Grant, but very few had actually seen her.

"The little girl is very innocent, with no hidden motives."

Leo Grant said.

But in truth, the little girl was not simple, Leo Grant knew that in his heart, yet he planned not to say it.

"Brother, strangers..."

"I consider her my sister, my real sister."

Sean Grant was about to say something, but Leo Grant interrupted him.

The little girl held a significant place in his heart now.

Sean Grant fell silent, Rosalie Jennings had told him that Holly Sawyer was certainly not the well-meaning type, that she knew a lot of things and coming to Leo Grant’s side was not a coincidence but a long-panned scheme.

If what Rosalie Jennings said was true, then Holly Sawyer by Leo Grant’s side was a time bomb, one that could destroy their plans.

Therefore, Sean Grant testingly wanted to say some bad things about Holly Sawyer, to make Leo Grant suspicious.

The two talked for a while, and then Leo Grant, using the late hour as an excuse, went back to his room to sleep.

Leo Grant went back to his room, and naturally, Sean Grant did too. He had a room at Leo Grant’s house, which Leo had specifically set aside for him.

Sean Grant stayed in the room for a while, made a phone call, then walked out to Holly Sawyer’s door, standing there for some time.

"Is there something?"

Just as he was thinking about whether to knock and enter, the door was opened, and Holly Sawyer stood before him.

At that moment, the girl no longer had the timid look she had when she first saw him, instead, her eyes were somewhat cold.

Seeing her by Leo Grant’s side and seeing her alone now were like seeing two completely different people.

"Don’t disturb brother."

Just when Sean Grant was about to say something, the girl suddenly said.

Sean Grant then entered Holly Sawyer’s room.

Sean Grant pressed the record button in his pocket, then glanced around Holly Sawyer’s room a bit.

The girl’s room was pink and filled with a girly vibe, but Sean Grant didn’t think such a room matched the girl standing in front of him.

"Don’t bother recording, you won’t catch anything."

The girl was like a mirror; she clearly knew what Sean Grant had done and calmly spoke as she sat on the swing.

Sean Grant was taken aback for a moment, "You sure know a lot."

His voice also turned cold; indeed, this girl named Holly Sawyer was anything but simple, at least her reconnaissance skills were strong.

"I know you came to see me because of Rosalie Jennings."

Holly Sawyer smiled and slowly spoke.

If Sean Grant didn’t know Rosalie Jennings, he certainly wouldn’t have come seeking her out.

Sean Grant looked at Holly Sawyer, not speaking.

"I harbor no ill will towards Leo Grant, but towards you, it’s not certain."

With a cold smile on her lips, Holly Sawyer looked Sean Grant up and down.

She really didn’t like people with ill intentions towards Leo Grant, so she truly couldn’t bring herself to like Sean Grant.

"Tell me, where did you come from?"

Sean Grant sat on a stool to the side and started asking.

To Leo Grant, Holly Sawyer was an amnesiac, but Sean Grant knew Holly Sawyer wasn’t really amnesiac.

A heatstroke causing amnesia?

The probability was extremely low, but Leo Grant just believed that absurd reason.

Holly Sawyer: "That’s not important."

"Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell Leo Grant? I have the recording."

Sean Grant took out his phone and showed it off.

"You sure you have it?"

Holly Sawyer raised an eyebrow.

Sean Grant opened his phone’s recorder, realizing he recorded nothing, not a word of their conversation.

Sean Grant looked at Holly Sawyer, suddenly feeling that her identity wasn’t simple at all.

"Leo Grant is my brother, do you think he won’t believe me?"

Sean Grant frowned, unsatisfied as he looked at Leo Grant.

Holly Sawyer slightly smirked: "We shall see."

"Brother..."

Almost in the next second, Holly Sawyer suddenly cried out with a sobbing tone, somehow already back on the bed, her small hands clutching the blanket, looking aggrieved with tears spilling over her face.

Sean Grant: "..."

Drama queen?

"What’s wrong?"

In almost no time, Leo Grant appeared in Holly Sawyer’s room, hurriedly opening the door.

What he saw was Sean Grant sitting on a chair and Holly Sawyer sitting on the bed.
