The Slender Waist-Chapter 158 - 117 Bullying
The night wind carries with it a tranquil floral scent.
If Chunyu Yan’s upward-curving lips weren’t so irritating, Feng Yun might almost have believed he was sincere...
No matter which type, after all, he’s like a wealth-bringer.
Feng Yun seriously asked, "Is Yunchuan so in need of money? Princely Heir, selling yourself isn’t as profitable as selling Graphite?"
Chunyu Yan’s gaze grew dark.
"Are you trying to say I’m not as profitable as Graphite?"
"Not at all. Based on Crown Prince Chunyu’s looks, you’d be worth at least twice that of Graphite, plus some."
Chunyu Yan’s chest seemed to have a current of air swirling within.
But he’d been played by Feng Twelve too many times, his tolerance was quite low.
"Say something nice," Chunyu Yan looked at her unmoved, then added, "Say something nice, and this deal is done."
Feng Yun watched his arms folded across his chest, looking very much like "you must cajole me," and she laughed softly.
Chunyu Yan was certainly a handsome man, his appearance enthralling.
How can such a person have the shamelessness to say such things?
"How do you want me to cajole you? No, wait... what counts as nice words?"
Chunyu Yan thought for a moment, "Say you’re delighted with me..."
Feng Yun frowned, "Would that make a difference? I can lie through my teeth about being delighted with you, but my eyes will betray me."
Chunyu Yan was nearly driven mad by her.
"Feng Twelve!"
Feng Yun gestured with her hands, "This young woman is here."
Suddenly, Chunyu Yan rose to his feet, grabbed Feng Yun’s hand, and without a word, pulled her out of the pavilion, heading towards the other side of the artificial lake, in the direction of the outer mountain.
"Miss!"
The voices of Daman and Xiaoman came from behind Feng Yun.
Chunyu Yan looked back, snorted coldly.
"Whoever dares to follow, I’ll flay Feng Twelve’s skin and make a human skin drum to return to you."
Feng Yun didn’t want to provoke him, in fact, Chunyu Yan was holding her wrist tightly, but there was hardly any real malice in his touch.
She asked, "What madness has taken over you?"
Suddenly, Chunyu Yan turned his head, staring at her, those eyes gleaming brilliantly as if flickering with wolfish light, which was quite alarming, but on closer inspection, they seemed incredibly vulnerable, his threat turning into a plea, like a child seeking an adult’s mercy...
"Just tonight. Just for an hour. Be with me."
He spoke rapidly.
The sound of the wind scattered his voice.
And he kept staring at her with a smile.
Feng Yun glanced at the wrist he was clutching tightly.
"Let go of me. I can walk on my own. Otherwise, when Ye Chuang and the rest come, it’ll be hard to smooth things over."
Chunyu Yan looked at her for a moment, then slowly released his hand.
-
Under the starry sky, the night on Tu Mountain was gentle and charming, like a dutiful little wife shedding the constraints of the day, suddenly unveiling all her beauty.
Following Chunyu Yan, Feng Yun arrived at a stone pavilion halfway up the mountain and exclaimed in surprise.
"How beautiful!"
Stars spread overhead.
With a raised hand, it seems possible to pluck the stars from the sky.
Looking down, the silver river below wraps around Tu Mountain like a jade belt.
Feng Yun marveled and felt a bit envious of Lady Tu.
What kind of paradisiacal existence must she have, cherished by her husband, adored by her people, living in harmony with the world...
"Sit here," Chunyu Yan took out a handkerchief to cushion the stone bench and signaled for Feng Yun to sit down.
Feng Yun hesitated for a moment.
He said, "Don’t be afraid, I’m here, I won’t let you fall."
Feng Yun looked back into his eyes, smiled lightly, and with an air of ease, lightly jumped onto the stone bench.
Another incredible view unfolded before her.
The Tu Family Fort at the moonlit night lay completely exposed before her eyes.
She said, "Is it inappropriate for us to run up here in the middle of the night?"
She had never been up here before because the foot soldiers of the Tu Family Fort guarded it, and it exuded an aura of mystery.
Many of the Tu Family Fort’s outputs also came from the mountain behind it, like their iron smelting, weaponry, and even their grain storehouses; she didn’t want to inadvertently offend them...
But Chunyu Yan seemed not to hear and stared at her, saying:
"I thought you wouldn’t agree."
Feng Yun didn’t catch on, "What?"
Chunyu Yan said, "To come up here with me. Giving people something to talk about."
Feng Yun squinted at the night sky’s stars, hugging her knees, slowly unwinding in the mountain breeze.
"That’s nothing to me. It’s only a pity we’re lacking some wine and dishes to enjoy with it."
Chunyu Yan chuckled softly.
"I’ve prepared them for you."
Feng Yun turned in surprise to look at him.
She saw Chunyu Yan magically take out the food and wine from a wooden cabinet in the stone pavilion, along with two Gilt High-Stemmed Cups.
"The pickles from Tu Family Fort, I noticed you liked them, so I had Lady Tu prepare some more for me."
Feng Yun narrowed her eyes, "Does Lady Tu know?"
Chunyu Yan hummed an affirmation, smiling at her.
