The Seven Sisters and Their Hidden King-Chapter 192: You Should Call Me Brother-in-Law
Chapter 192 - 192: You Should Call Me Brother-in-Law
"These two must be buried alive."
John's cold voice lingered in the air like a death sentence. With those words, he turned and walked out of the club, leaving the grim task to Peter and his men.
Just as he reached the street, Peter hurried out behind him, holding something in his hand.
"Mr. Lopez, you forgot the token."
John didn't stop walking. He glanced over his shoulder and shook his head. "Take it back to Alan. Tell him I don't need it anymore. As long as your people don't provoke me again, we won't have any problems."
His voice was calm but resolute.
John was drawing a firm line between himself and the Black Dragon Gang. He had never intended to get entangled with them. When Alan gave him the token, John had accepted it simply to avoid unnecessary trouble. It was supposed to be a convenient shield, not a brand.
But now he realized—it was the wrong message.
To others, that token marked him as one of them. Worse, it suggested he was leading them. The way Peter and the others had kneeled before him just now had made his skin crawl. That wasn't who he was.
He didn't want to be mistaken for their boss, much less become one.
He was a man of principle. A man of the new era. He wouldn't let them stain his soul with their filth.
Peter seemed to understand. He murmured under his breath, "The way you dealt with those two just now... You were as fierce as our leader."
His voice was low—barely audible—but John still heard it from ten meters away.
"I was just punishing the wicked," John replied without turning back. "That's called justice."
Peter froze in place, eyes wide with disbelief.
He heard me? From that distance?
He didn't dare say another word.
This was all John could do for Rosa.
As for the rest—her father's medical bills and any lingering issues—he believed Emily could easily handle them. As for her cultivation, Rosa had indeed been working hard. But compared to Alice, her talent was lacking. And the recent events had disrupted her progress. She still hadn't managed to condense her life energy.
John wasn't worried. It would come in time.
A few days later, at the Yeats family residence.
In the spacious living room, Queenie tugged John aside mysteriously.
"Come on, Johnny," she whispered, eyes sparkling. "I want to introduce someone to you."
He followed her inside, curious.
On the sofa sat a young man around nineteen or twenty. Handsome and confident, with facial features strikingly similar to Queenie's.
At first glance, John could already guess.
Her brother.
Sure enough, Queenie smiled and gestured. "Johnny, this is my brother, Jacob. He just got back from Capital University a few days ago. Jacob, this is John—my sworn brother. He's a little older than you, so that makes him your big brother."
Jacob raised an eyebrow.
"Sis, are you serious?"
He glanced at John, then back at Queenie. "I don't have any blood ties with this guy. Why should I call him brother?"
It was one thing to accept a sister. That was family. But this random guy?
John chuckled before Queenie could respond.
"You're right—we're not related by blood. And since we didn't know each other before, you shouldn't call me brother."
Then he grinned, voice rising playfully.
"You should call me brother-in-law."
"Brother-in-law?!" Jacob's jaw nearly hit the floor.
John's grin widened. "Exactly. Say it loud, say it proud. And if you do, I'll take you under my wing."
Jacob looked stunned. He stared at Queenie, clearly expecting her to deny it.
"Sis, seriously—is this guy for real?"
Queenie blushed and was just about to clarify, but John beat her to it. With a shameless grin, he stepped forward, knocked her over onto the sofa, and gave her a firm smack on the butt.
Smack!

"There. If I weren't your brother-in-law," he said smugly, "would I dare touch your sister like this?"
Jacob was speechless.
Queenie was fuming—and blushing.
Before she could get up and retaliate, a voice came from behind them.
"Yes, Jacob. He is your brother-in-law. Remember his face well—even if he turns to ash one day, he's still your brother-in-law!"
It was Marcia, Queenie's mother, stepping into the room with her usual dramatic flair.
John immediately jumped off the sofa, flustered. "Auntie, we were just messing around!"
Marcia snorted. "Messing around? I saw what I saw. And I heard what I heard. You dare not stand by your words? Are you a man or not?"
Her eyes narrowed in mock challenge.
John's mind whirred for a counterattack. Then his lips curved into a sly smile.
"Auntie, since I gave Uncle acupuncture... you've been looking more radiant than ever."
As expected, Marcia's face turned red instantly.
She glared at him—but not too harshly.
After all, John wasn't lying. Ever since Nick had received treatment, he'd been... revitalized. Their relationship had reignited like it hadn't in over a decade. Marcia had been walking with a spring in her step ever since.
But now John was teasing her about that?
In front of her children?
Unforgivable! But also... accurate.
She knew he was getting back at her for cornering him.
She narrowed her eyes at him one last time, then let it go.
Both of them understood each other too well.
And so, the teasing ended—for now.
