The Secret Obsession of the CEO-Chapter 216: Surprise Visit
Rory decided to buy flowers before visiting her parent’s grave. She knew Liam would be sad that she goes there alone, but she was planning on leaving before he comes here. She can visit her parents once more with Liam and their baby.
"Rori, wait!" Rory stopped in her tracks hearing Ian shouting.
"What? Are you stalking me, Ian?" she chuckled.
Ian chuckled without answering and walked with her.
"What do you want?" Rory asked. She didn’t think that Ian who likes to wake up for lunch woke up early that day to take a walk and coincidentally met her.
"My mum talked to me last night," Ian walked with a skip in his steps.
"Yeah?" Rory shook her head with a smile.
"She told me that you talked to her about me..." he smiled. "Did you tell her that I am too young to marry?"
"You’re happy about that because?" She raised her brows.
"Come on, Rori... My mum told me that she won’t pester me evermore. And... Did you talk about Elizabeth to her?" he asked.
"Why would I? Why should I?" Rory furrowed her brows in annoyance and waved her hand. "Shoo! Off you go! Stop pestering me..."
"Arigatou gozai mashi ta," Ian bowed his head.
Rory sighed and stopped. What is this stupid guy up to now?
"That’s thank you in Japanese, if you didn’t know," Ian grinned ear to ear. "Thank you so much, my dearest friend!"
"Oh my God!" Rory rubbed her forehead. She is on the way to the cemetery and this guy is enacting some cheesy drama in front of her. What should she do?
"Stop grinning and start acting your age, idiot!" She hit his arm. "My husband is the same age as you and he’s already a father. He’s been through so much and yet he still persevered! Learn a thing or two from him," she started walking.
What’s with him acting like a kid? He is the same age as she is.
Ian smiled and walked with her. He talked to Liam that day and he heard the sincerity in his tone. Truly, he is a remarkable man. And no wonder Aurora chose him as her partner. She is smart.
"I used to sit on the tree branch a lot in the past, whenever I remembered you. You used to get so mad that you can’t climb to that branch alone..." he initiated a conversation with her.
Rory sighed. She didn’t know that Ian grew up to become someone who hated silence. What would it take for her to get some silence?
"And I saw Elizabeth staring at the branch the other day," she smirked.
Ian blushed. He had very pale skin that almost looked grey in that moody lighting and that blush was like a berry in snow, prominent.
That shut him up. Maybe he started thinking about his love. Rory walked along with him remembering her parents.
It was odd that she doesn’t remember much as time passed. She had already forgotten what they sounded like.
Ah, I should watch the tapes from before. They had a lot of tapes...
Rory got the flowers in the flower shop and decided to ask Ian to leave. She wanted to be alone. But before she could open her mouth, Ian dragged her out.
"Oh, you must see this, Rori!" he walked her out on the street. The street was empty and there were the usual stores on that road that were there forever.
Why is he acting weird?
"Ian, I~"
Rory tried to talk to him, but Ian started shouting. "There’s a taxi!" he jumped and waved his hand. "Taxi! There’s a taxi in the village! Rori, you know what we should do," he looked at her with a smirk.
"No, Ian. We are not going to pretend faint in front of the taxi and act hurt. We are not ten-year-old anymore!" she said gritting her teeth. "Let go of my hand! Why are you so annoying today? Come on, Ian... Let’s get out of the road!" She tried to get her hand out of his grasp.
Ian didn’t let go and was still standing in the middle of the road. The taxi stopped in front of them.
"Come on, Ian... Let’s not be a nuisance..."
As she was speaking, she saw a familiar figure getting out of the taxi.
"Fizzy?" Rory’s eyes widened. He didn’t look washed out in that gloomy light as his blonde hair cast a halo over him exuding warmth.
My handsome husband!
Standing by the side, he extended his hands out with a smile. "Aurora!!!" he shouted.
"Fitzwilliam!" she ran to him. She didn’t even know when Ian let her hand go. She only had Liam in her eyes. She didn’t even know when she dropped the flowers she got for her parents.
She ran to the man of her heart as nothing else was in her mind or her eyes at the moment she laid her eyes on him.
"Oh, Fizzy! When did you get there?" she hugged him the moment she reached him without even slowing down.
Liam had to take a couple of steps backward to hold her without falling down. She rammed him like a bull. But he can take it. With a smile, he lifted her up using the inertia.
"Aurora," he smiled and turned a full circle.
"Fizzy," Rory held his cheeks with a giggle. She didn’t care that her shoes fell down. She pecked his lips. "You are here! I can’t believe you’re here!" she kissed him, this time nibbling on his lips.
"Oh, dear!" Liam felt dizzy with the warm welcome he received. He thought he would get a hug; he never expected a kiss from her.
Ah, I knew I won’t regret sending her away for some time... See how much she had changed...!
Ian watched them with a smile and picked up the bouquet. Those were her mother’s favorite flowers and he thought that now both of them can visit their grave together.
"Fizzy..." Rory couldn’t stop her giggles and kissed him some more. She didn’t mind that she was standing in the town square for everyone to see. He is her husband, and she is who she is. No one in this town is going to find problems with her.
"Ah! Where’s Ellie!" she asked and jumped down. "My poor baby..." she ran to the car and opened the door. "Did you miss your mum?" she unbuckled the car seat. "Oh... Look my baby got big... I left you for two weeks and you’re already big... Aww... Who’s the big girl... Who is my big girl?" Rory cooed and picked up the baby.
Ellie looked confused for a moment. She might have wondered if this is her real mummy after trying to eat the phone screen for the past two weeks thinking her mummy was in there.
"Oh, my poor little sweetie pie..." Rory hugged her daughter close. "Did you come to see your mommy? Oh... You’re smelling so nice... Did daddy take good care of you?" she held Ellie close to her chest.
Liam joined in the hug to make it a group hug. He kissed Rory and Ellie on the head.
Ah... He let out a sigh of relief. Now everything is perfect!
After the greeting that lasted for ten minutes blocking that small road, Rory asked Liam about the travel. She asked how Ellie coped with the travel. Liam shrugged. He looked stress-free and all smiles. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
So it went well... Thank goodness!
"You worried for nothing," Liam twisted her ear. "Our daughter was a darling the whole ride. Even the hostess was amazed by our daughter..." Liam said.
"Was the hostess pretty, Liam?" Rory asked and Liam’s smile froze.
"It isn’t about the hostess. It’s about our daughter!" he hugged Rory.
"I know it... Ellie is perfect!" Rory kissed her daughter for the hundredth time. She couldn’t stop kissing her adorable daughter.
Ian had taken the luggage out of the taxi with the help of the driver. Before Rory wondered why Ian took Ellie from her hand, and Liam pushed her inside the taxi.
"Go! Go! Go!" Liam urged the driver, and the taxi took a sharp turn and returned the way it came.
"What is happening?" Rory asked looking behind.
Ian was holding Ellie and the luggage. A couple of people offered him help and he dragged the luggage toward his home.
"We, my dear wife, are going on a date!" Liam smiled.
"What?" Rory raised her brows. She would have punched him in the face if only he was not adorable. "You are leaving our daughter behind and~"
Liam placed his finger over Rory’s lips and smiled.
"Think only of me today, will you, Cherry? Please...? Pretty please...?" he sweetly caressed her cheek.
Rory’s heart leaped into the chest cavity. It was a very hard leap she thought that her chest might burst open.
What’s with him...? And why does he look so handsome?
She thought about it. Ian is taking Ellie to his home. Ellie might be confused for a while to see new people, but she will be okay. Aunt Isabelle is awesome with kids. And Count Charles will make sure Ellie has a great time.
And everything... Ian nagging her early in the morning and Liam’s appearance at the right time appears to be planned. So, she doesn’t have to worry needlessly.
She got curious.
"Fine, I’ll bite..." she smiled. "What has my handsome husband planned for today?" she raised her brows.
Liam smirked.
