The Royal Mark-Chapter 35: Other Body Part

Elsa quickly removed her legs around Chris’ waist, completely flustered and her face was beet red. She felt like her body was on fire and that fire was suddenly extinguished by a bucket of ice.

She fixed her hair and dipped her hands in the river before patting her cheeks. When she finally looked at Chris’ face, she saw him smiling roguishly at her. She refrained from reacting to it for she knew that if she did, Chris would only tease her more.

"I-I guess you’re right. It worked. Let me see your back if everything has been healed." Elsa said just to get away from Chris’ piercing stare.

Chris immediately obeyed her and did not say anything before turning around... Or so she thought.

"Do you want to check my ’other body parts’ too? I actually forgot to check earlier if ’it’ got injured. I’m just afraid that it may not function very well anymore in case ’it’ gets bruised." Chris uttered while his back was facing Elsa.

With an irritated scowl painted onto her face, she stood behind him. Her hands were placed firmly on her waist. Her amber eyes now held the sharp gleam of an unsheathed dagger, ready to cut through the skin of the man in front of her.

"Okay, let me see that ’other body part’ of yours," Elsa firmly said.

Chris swiftly faced Elsa smiling wide as he could hear his wolf rejoicing with her answer.

"Really? You will check ’it’?" Chris confirmed and smiled wider when Elsa nodded and smiled back.

"I will hold it and thoroughly check if ’it’ has any injury. And if I found none... then... perhaps... I could break it in half, to make sure I have something to heal. Sounds good?" Elsa exclaimed with enthusiasm.

Chris’ smile faded and his face became serious while both his hands instinctively covered ’it’ causing Elsa to look down at ’it’.

Elsa chuckled and shook her head, "Looks like you are completely healed, finish washing up. I’m hungry, we should find something to eat." Elsa walked away and headed back to the ground.

Chris pouted and watched his mate walk away from him.

[She’s savage! Why would she want to break ’it’? Does she want to see us sad?]

’Shut up, Yakobo. You talk too much. I am not in the mood for your yapping,’ Chris groused as he submerged under water, to cool down his burning desires for his mate.

Elsa pressed out the water from her dress and started picking up dried sticks and branches.

"That’s enough. You already collected a lot. We will not stay here for long." Chris told Elsa while wrapping her in his cloak.

Elsa dodged the cloak and said, "Don’t put it on me, I’m still wet."

Chris raised one of his eyebrows and Elsa noticed it. So she quickly corrected herself, "I mean my dress... My dress is still wet."

"Then the more that you need this. You’ll catch a cold. It’s going to be colder later." Chris and Elsa then walked back to the riverside to join the others.

Nuri and Gaia had already gathered a lot of truffles while Nile and Ciel took some rocks and dried leaves for them to use for the campfire.

"Look, Elsa, we have found so many truffles, this could last until tomorrow." Nuri proudly announced.

"Wow, that is amazing Nuri! And we will be eating truffles for free, thanks to you!" Elsa rubbed Nuri’s head and the canine was overjoyed.

"That’s not enough," Chris said, causing him to earn a glare from Elsa, "I-I mean, we need meat... it goes well with truffles, right?"

"And where do you suggest we can get or buy meat?" Elsa sarcastically inquired.

"Are you forgetting that your mate is a werewolf? I get you one, stay here, prepare the fire," Chris immediately stormed off.

"Wait! But... I don’t know how to make a fire..." Elsa sat on the ground feeling defeated.

"I know how to," Nuri said.

Elsa quickly looked at Nuri, "Really? How?"

"We are in Vectus, so you must be able to use our powers now, correct?" Nuri said.

Elsa tilted her head, contemplating what Nuri meant, "You have powers?"

"Well, dear, remember your father told you that we are a part of you?" Ciel interjected. "We technically don’t have powers, because we are your power."

The crease on Elsa’s forehead deepened, "I don’t think I understand what you are saying, Ciel."

"I am not sure how much can you remember, but your mom removed your powers and converted them, and as a result, we came to life," Ciel explained.

"What power? I have my divine power back. You mean there’s more?" Elsa inquired.

"You’re right. There’s more. So are we going to start a fire or just talk?" Nuri impatiently uttered.

"I told you, I don’t know how to make one," Elsa retorted.

Nuri sat beside Elsa while Ciel stood in front of them. "You have to activate it. Touch Nuri’s back while looking at the kindling. Just like when you are healing, you have to gather your power within you. You have to transfer it to Nuri while picturing a flame that’s starting to burn the kindling." Ciel instructed.

"Sounds easy Ciel, but hard to do," Elsa complained.

"Why don’t you try it?" Ciel encouraged. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Not working Ciel... Let’s just wait for Chris to come back, maybe he knows how to make a fire." Elsa suggested.

"Elsa," Ciel called out with a stern voice, causing Elsa to put all her attention to the white dog. "Consider this your training. Your mom is a divine mage and so are you. That’s who you are, even before you were born, so embrace it."

’Scary... Ciel is like an angry mother,’ Elsa nodded, and this time with determination.

She closed her eyes and heard Ciel speak. "Perhaps it would help if you would think of Nuri. What is she like? What is the emotion that she always shows?"

"She’s always angry–" Elsa answered but was immediately cut off by Nuri.

"I am not!"

Elsa and the other three dogs laughed at Nuri, "I was going to say, always angry and passionate, but you cut me off."

"Okay, accepted," Nuri uttered.

"Let’s try again, dear," Ciel instructed and Elsa closed her eyes once more, ready to try it again.
